I went for a walker and not only found exactly what I wanted (been doing a lot research on line, but like to buy things in local stores), a red walker with a seat and brakes, but a STANDER. Yes, that is what it is called. No seat, no brakes, but weighs only 4 pounds and easy to squeeze together and swing into a car trunk with one hand. Vanessa was extremely helpful in fitting everything to me. Will be back for shoes and a leg-lifter (helps swinging up bad leg into bed and also getting into and out of the automobile). This store looks like it is small, but it is jammed with all sorts of medical assistance devices and the range of walkers is outstanding. As a first-time customer, the discount was most welcoming! Needless to say that perfect wheelchair seems hard to find. That's when my dad mentioned we should check out Lincoln Medical Supplies. We have already visited them a few times with numerous questions. A very nice and knowledgeable young woman has helped us each time. She goes out of her way to assist us as we browse the store taking photos and measurements for my mom who remains at home mostly bedridden and refuses to leave the house. We were given a number of helpful options to think about and discuss with my mom. I really appreciated her efforts in showing us all the available choices that are out there for special order. Now, I just need my mom to make a decision, so we can all move forward! The problems we face, is that once the chair is purchased it can't be returned if my mother doesn't like it!

On the ADL website they have a blurb about costumer service. "ADL Customer Service: Our Customer Service Representatives are more like Case Managers. Each is responsible for a segment of our customer base, and they're with you from start to finish. Our Customer Service Team are specialist in insurance coverages, product knowledge, required medical documentation, and in being pleasant, professional and compassionate towards you, our valued customer." Section 5 of "our process" states. " Speaking of communication, our Customer Service Representatives are always available to be contacted either by business telephone, fax, email or VerbalCare®. In turn, they will make contact with you, if there are any changes to your order status, insurance payment, or otherwise. Communication is key and ADL understands this." AGAIN THEY STATE!! When asked why we weren't contacted a manager responded with "we're really busy". This is a business that people rely on for daily living needs and one can't even do that. I will say the customer service representative can be very kind except for when questioned on why things aren't working properly. We walked in and immediately knew one was perfect for mom. It was late Friday and Nancy wasn't sure she could get it delivered, but she was trying. Then she said, I bet we can get it in the car. I wouldn't have thought of trying to get it home myself. But with some help, we did get it home. Front door to Mom's new recliner being in her room was less than an hour. And the quality was 10X better. Mom really loves it, so she's willing to get out of bed and sit up, which will speed up recovery. So, thank you Costco for cancelling!!
