I stopped in for sweets after I was invited to Indian masala chai evening. STORE: The store is located in a plaza with limited parking. Dedicated few spots are available for Parivar Spice Market customers. The store has everything - veggies and fruits, bulk rice, frozen foods, tea, sweets, personal care items, and other staples. Staples are available in bulk or individually (such as rice). You'll find Indian souvenirs behind the counter. There's also more than an aisle of packaged spices. I don't dabble much in Indian spices, but someone with spice needs would love this place. Indian spices linger in the air adding a dash of authenticity to this market visit. The inventory is plentiful but not logically organized. For instance, I found sweets in multiple different aisles. The prices for products are not well labeled on the shelves or on the products. It's hard to tell the prices until checkout. If you frequent this market, it would be intuitive, but as a first timer, prepare to spend time here. I liked that the entire market focused on only Indian food without introducing other cultures. MY PURCHASE: I got sweets for tea: - Deep Khari Twisted Jeera ($3.49) - Crispy puffed pastries with cumin - Karachi's Osmania Biscuits ($5.99) - Soft and buttery cookies - Deep Khari Masala ($3.49) - Crispy puffed pastries with a blend of spices - Karachi's Bakery Fruit Biscuits ($5.99) - Biscuits with mixed fruit, vanilla, and nuts SERVICE: Service is very pleasant. The store employee chatted with me about my upcoming tea and graciously offered her help with my selections. I was very pleased with the friendliness and the hospitality. I intend to visit in the future to try Indian teas. There was quite an assortment. Kashmiri Pink Tea looked especially exciting! I recommend this place for spices and authentic Indian foods.

I asked the attendant to point my in the direction of some cool candies and cookies. Right next to the wide selection of cookies were quick prepare rices and meals. I don't cook too much but love Indian food so I got a few things to try at home. They also had a small freezer section with quick prepare meal items. I got some rice, a chickpea stew and some frozen aloo that I can put in the air fryer. I love Indian food and I'm super excited to try these quick options. I also got a some green chili chutney and some delicious chocolate cookies! The attendant was friendly and helped me choose between two different stews to make my take home meal!

In addition to the fruits and veggies there are nice selections of cheese, breads and pastries and wines. off to the side is a small groceries section with canned goods, dry goods, and a cooler. Overall Produce Place easily beats the groceries with higher quality fruit and vegetables at better prices. At the self-checkout, I needed help paying for a single item without a barcode. I had to press the assistance button multiple times before anyone responded. When someone who identified himself as a manager finally came, he was extremely rude and condescending instead of helpful. His appearance was sloppy, and his attitude made me feel belittled rather than assisted. This level of customer service was shocking. I then went to customer service to speak with the store manager, but despite waiting and repeated calls, no manager ever came. I usually shop at Heinen's or Costco, where professionalism and customer care are clearly a priority. This experience was unacceptable, and I will think twice before returning to Giant Eagle.

I most recently stopped in today, and as always it was a solid experience from start to finish. The store is bright, spacious, clean, and well-organized, making it easy to find what I needed without wandering aimlessly. Every employee I've encountered there has been consistently pleasant and helpful. Even at checkout the employees are always so personable, greeting every customer. The produce section is always impressive - everything looks super fresh and well-stocked, with plenty of organic options. I also love to gaze at exotic fruits while shopping. During this trip I picked up some tropical cold pressed juice and WTR MLN WATER. The latter is my addiction, it's watermelon water that's cold pressed. I find it very refreshing and hydrating. I also love coming to this store for their cheese assortment and chocolate. Both have impressive selection and you can never go wrong with any choices. I also prefer this store for Amazon returns when I have them. While there's sometimes a line, I found that returns and refunds are somehow processed faster here than at other locations (such as Rocky River).
