Well I hate to say it but here we go again! Another burger joint that does not seem to care what the masses have to say about their establishment. The owner/Manager doesn't ever seem to take responsibility for the actions of her staff or her restaurant. I say this because I have read the reviews and her responses to the negative one where she makes sure to say that they have high standards or fresh foods or you are lying or this never happened, and or we hope you reconsider, all CRAP! Nevertheless, a co-worker and I stopped bye on our way to Winslow for a quick bite, MISTAKE #1, we both ordered burgers and tots and a soda. Mistake number 2. I asked for extra onions and asked for no tomatoes, my coworker asked for no tomato's, mistake number 3. We both asked for medium rare, Mistake number 4. So when the meal had not arrived approximately 30 minutes later we asked the server and were told your orders are on their way out right now, and sure enough here they came. We were both rather hungry so very happy to see our order come to the table. To our disappointment we both reached for a tot and it was cold, not like frozen cold but like they had been sitting a while, Told the server and she said sorry about that and that is when I noticed that I had no onions and had tomatoes and my coworker also had Tomatoes. Both were severely over cooked. We asked for them to return them to the kitchen and have them remade because they were not what we ordered. Next came the heavy sigh and the attitude but off they went with our cold wrong order. The only difference in the order was now we needed them to go as we had been there over an hour and hadn't eaten. When the food arrived this time, I think the tots were the same cold tots that were originally on my plate, I had the extra onions but again had tomatoes as did my coworker. Oh and they brought them out on a plate not to go. I stated that the tots were cold and both burgers had tomatoes on them again, and that we asked for them to go. Please return these and no need to make anything else as we had to leave. He is the kicker, they said ok let me get your check. I said check? They stated yeah for your drinks. Oh wait did I say, we never received our drinks? So my suggestion to the owner that has an issue with taking responsibility for the actions of here team. Your restaurant is one of those that is not always bad, JUST NEVER GOOD! Folks don't waste you time here! Go one exit south and take your chances with fast food! read more

On the "Good-Meh-Suck" scale, this was a "Big time SUCK". With a name that has "BURGERS" in it, you expect one thing to be good- the burgers. Right?!?!?! WELL, that is not the case here. The quick review- go to Burger King. For the price, at least you feel like it was worth it. At Burgers and Brews, it is not. The burgers were thin and not anything special. I made a simple substitute for cheese yet all the additional items that were to come with the burger were left off. $hit happens and I was willing to let this slide but it took 5 minutes to flag down the food server and then they took my burger back, slapped on some mushrooms and onions and brought it back at near room temp..... To make it better, the food server offered up no words of apology. A simple "Sorry 'bout that" would have even worked. NOPE. Not today.... All I can say is this place was a ONE and DONE. You are not missing a thing here. For the price, go to Chilis. At least there the burger is decent sized for the same cost. And if you need more ranch dressing, it is not an extra charge.....Good luck to all. read more

I have no idea why this place has anything less than 4 stars. I ordered delivery and the burger I got is phenomenal! Especially for it being delivered. A single thing doesn't taste that it was previously frozen and the temp on my burger is perfection. I ordered medium and they did a much better job than any other burger joint I've gone to. Got the western and was hoping it would be similar to the Carls Jr western and it truly was. But a million times better haha. The sauce is identical and the ingredients are much fresher. This place is a total patty-melt (and not in the good way). Let's start with the "burger." Imagine a hockey puck that got lost in a funhouse mirror and came out shrunk down to half its size. That's the best way to describe their idea of a good burger. For the price they charge, it's a culinary crime! But the microscopic meat wasn't even the worst part. Our waitress, took my burger to the kitchen, and when she brought it back, It looked like more hands had torn apart the burger and manhandled the food. Disgusting! To top it all off, when I politely (okay, maybe a little hangry) mentioned the mishap to the kitchen manager, he argued with me! Apparently, at Burger's & Brews, the customer is always wrong, especially about how they want their food cooked. So, do yourself a favor and skip this place. There are better cardboard burgers out there, and they probably come with a side of respect for your order. By far the best burgers I've had in Arizona. This place has the vibe of your favorite Central American restaurant when you're traveling abroad, but with a menu that's distinctly its own. I can't express how much I enjoy eating here because everything is so good. I inevitably have to take something home thanks to the fact that I haven't had one bad meal here. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, and you're gonna get your dish faster than you think. Don't assume that means they're not putting a lot of effort in; there's a level of expertise at play here that allows the kitchen to strike a strong balance between speed and quality. Just to touch on this one more time as well, it's a tired line but it holds true here; there really it something for everyone. Pinball and a small arcade for your kids with spaces to accommodate families? Check. Spacious outdoor patio with a wam and inviting atmosphere for you and some friends? Check. Lively but classy bar section? That's a check too. I'm almost hesitant to share how good this hidden gem is because I think it's only a matter of time before this place is a much bigger deal than it is right now. But I'd be doing everyone who makes this place such an excellent spot a disservice after all they've done to make it so excellent. Absolutely check this out if you're in the area! read more

Wow! This place is fantastic. Best burgers we've had in a long time -- not frozen patties but actual angus BURGERS. And mine was on a gluten-free bun that actually tasted great! I would have LOVED to be able to have written a review about the food but when we called at 7:52pm we were told the kitchen is closed. I'm sorry but why in the world would your hours say 9pm closing time and then you close over a hour early? This is totally and completely unacceptable. Y'all have been open long enough to know that's bad business practices. Just awful. Change your hours to 8pm closing time because my review is definitely not the first nor will it be the last about your inability to stay open until your posted times. I am part of a non-profit group who has monthly luncheons and we try to patronize local/small businesses rather than go to chain restaurants. We are usually a party of 12-15 and I called Burgers & Brews 3 weeks in advance to ask if they could accommodate a group of our size. We were told it would be no problem at all. I called a week ahead to confirm our final number and was then told by a manager that they would only accommodate our group if we paid in 3 or fewer checks. I explained that when we called weeks earlier that wasn't communicated to us and that typically our group pays in groups of ones or twos. I let her know we're a kind group, many of which worked or currently works in the service industry, and that we are patient with servers because we understand we're a large group. We were told we'd have to go elsewhere. So with just a few days notice we were able to make other arrangements. It's a shame because no one in our group has plans of going here after this disappointing experience. read more

My husband and I had a date night and decided to try this after driving by it on the freeway. As soon as we walked in we loved the vibes and were seated right away. We started off with drinks and their pretzel bites which were good and had a large cheese dip with it. I got the blue cheese burger and tots which were amazing. I especially loved the blue cheese sauce. My husband got the PBJ burger and said it was good and worth the try. Next time he wants to try the breakfast burger. They do cook their burgers on the pinker side so just be aware when ordering, we didn't mind though. Our waitress was great and attentive, even though she was in charge of the bar and half the restaurant. Luckily they weren't too busy but she definitely had a lot on her plate which made it more impressive that she was giving great service. We will definitely be coming again. WORST PLACE EVER!!!! I was eating my burger and tasted something crunchy. I spit out a cockroach!!! Upon examining I found another inside. I ran to the bathroom and violently threw up!!! When I went to complain I spoke to a woman named Jackie who said she was the owners wife. When I told her what happened she couldn't have been any ruder like it was my fault that there were cockroaches in the burger. She was more concerned that I may have made a mess in the toilet when I threw up. The health department needs to close this place down asap!!! This review isn't about food but the service. I walked in with my daughter for daughter daddy dinner night. Sign at the entrance said, "Please wait to be seated." I waited 10 min holding my 1 year old waiting for a hostess that never came. Two waitress saw me and made eye contact and neither of them said, "some will be with you shortly" or attempted to get us a seat. Clearly this place prefers a specific clientele. Went yesterday for actually the second time, first time they couldn't accommodate us because we had a dog and their patio wasn't opened. First step into the door and no one around. Waited for a few minutes while the waitress was playing on her phone before my niece cleared her throat to let her know someone was there. Tried to order a draft beer, but almost everything that was on the draft menu wasn't available. Then my niece tried to order a can and most of them were unavailable also. Get an updated menu please or what would be nice is a server that could tell you what's on tap! There was only one other couple eating at the time, yet the bartender had to bring over the beer as our server was not available. We ordered a chicken sandwich, burger, BLT and cheese curds and the food was fabulous. Oh how I wish our server could have been at least half as good as the food. When we left, there was a woman at the front that we assumed was management, that never spoke a word to us. No "thanks for coming", "have a great day", nothing. There were no other patrons in the place at this point. Sad to say, but a smile and a kind word goes a long way. For 4 beers, 4 sandwiches and fries and curds our bill was $95. We should have gone after they'd been open longer. They have cooks who didn't know the menu and so it took awhile to get your food. Our server told us up front it'd be 45- hour for our food.
