Koi pond

Really neat place. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and seeing the gardens, Koi pond and the birds. We loved the mini golf course and the little shops. We didn't eat but will next time. All the people who worked there were really nice. This would be a great place to take kiddos for an afternoon as well.

Patty's Settlement Restaurant is one of those rare places where everything feels a little bit special. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a cozy, charming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The décor is whimsical yet inviting, and it perfectly sets the tone for the unforgettable meal that follows. The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish is crafted with care, bursting with flavor, and served with the kind of presentation that shows pride and heart. Whether it's their home-style classics or signature specialties, you can taste the freshness and attention to detail in every bite. The service is equally impressive. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure your visit is perfect. They're quick with a smile, helpful with recommendations, and make you feel like a valued guest rather than just another table. Patty's Settlement Restaurant doesn't just serve a meal; it delivers an experience. It's the kind of place where memories are made--perfect for a special night out, a family gathering, or simply treating yourself to something wonderful. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out. Highly recommended!

We absolutely love Patti's 1800. Traveling to see family this is a must stop for us.. Food is always good and the place is amazing. The town and places around are great. We always stay at Patti's Inn and love it....

We come here a few times a year. Food and service are always great and the desserts are fantastic! The ambience is pretty neat with every room decorated differently. It's definitely worth the drive.

This place still has all the Christmas lights up and everything looks awesome!!!! We started with mozzarella sticks. My wife went with the 1 inch Pork chop with coleslaw and fries. While I went with the world famous 2 inch Pork-chop with a spinach salad and cup of chili (not my favorite). This is a Military friendly restaurant. Prices have gone up a little since last time we were here but this is an experience.

Shared 2" pork chop with green beans and potatoes. Great value for 2 people.

First thing to know is you pay a little extra for the experience and the ambiance. The service is great and the food is great. Christmas lights inside and out adds to the ambiance, makes great family memories. The food is generously portioned. My wife and I split a meal, she usually gets full on the bread and butter. Pork chops are their specialty and always are perfectly cooked. We make it an annual event , plan ahead , make reservations. Understand that later evenings is the most crowded due to people wanting a meal and a walk under the lights.

The place was decorated beautifully for Christmas. We had a reservation for six o'clock we arrived a little early and they seated us early. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the bread baked in a flower pot with some strawberries butter. I had the pork cutlet is was so tender you could cut it with a fork. We liked it so much we went back the next day for lunch and deserts.

My friend brought me to this restaurant while I was visiting from out of state. We got to walk around outside and it was pretty with all the lights. It was nicely decorated inside and liked the themed rooms. I was torn between the pasta and another meal. I went with the chicken linguine and it was delicious! The server was sweet and said everything is made from scratch so that explains why it was so good. Excellent plate portion as well. The terracotta pot bread was served warm and with the strawberry butter it was divine! I also like when the salad is served on cold plates. Someone near us was celebrating an anniversary so the servers were singing and they sang so beautifully!

The food and service was amazing we loved all the extra attractions and picture opportunities we had. The restaurant itself was a fantastic setting. We are going back tonight to try other dishes and dessert

We have been wanting to go by patties 1880s settlement for many years now we finally got the opportunity Drew about 2 1/2 hours to get there and it was Christmas time and we got to see all the wonderful sites and sounds and explore the area, which is why I'm giving this place four stars because the atmosphere of the walk with the Christmas decorations and the whole area was definitely a five. We had a great time walking around taking pictures and seeing everything. The food itself is Three at the most. I got a hot Brown. It was OK. It was overpriced. My wife got a grilled chicken and some veggies and a baked potato and it was just OK also. Got a huge piece of lemon meringue pie, but it was mostly just meringue. No lemon not really great taste atmosphere the restaurant itself was just OK. Service was decent enough but way over price for what we got but the dealbreaker for sure is the outdoors and see the actual settlement and walk around and take pictures. That would be a nice memory for sure and that's what would bring me back one day.

2" Pork Chop, Baked Potato and slaw

An excellent restaurant. The decor, the servers, the whole ambiance, but the best is THE FOOD. I ordered the 2" pork chop with a baked potato and slaw. My wife had the 1" pork chop with apples and slaw. They brought out bread baked in a clay flower pot. The waitress directed us to twist the bread and out it pops. Hot, fresh and delicious. Unfortunately the meal was so filling we could not even look at the dessert menu. I most definitely am looking forward to a return.

Ask the Community - Patti's 1880's Settlement

What is dress code?

There doesn't appear to be one, but we saw people in shorts and others in more formal attire. I expect it depends on if you're there to celebrate an event or coming in off the lake for dinner. Shirt and shoes required 👌

Should we make a reservation if we are coming for lunch during the week?

Yes and no; if you just show up it's a 45 minute wait. We did not have reservations and used the time to walk around the grounds.

Do you take reservations?

Yes. Recommended.

Do you have a place to stay close to the restaurant?

Yes, Pattis Inn and Suites.

Looking forward to eating in your new dining room once it reopens. Is there a estimated reopen date?

It took less time to build the Pentagon!

Bill and Patti were a married couple that started her restaurant first and his later. In fact, they are pretty much identical. It seems that over the years, the family kept expending the restaurant and the grounds around it. Today there are all sorts of shops, gardens, miniature golf course, and petting zoo. The wait on a Saturday evening was about an hour and 15 minutes without a reservation, but walking around the grounds and seeing it all makes the wait seem too short. Seriously. The restaurant is clean and very country style. The staff seem like a family and are very nice. The food is fantastic! The two inch pork chop is amazing. I didn't order it, but I tried a piece from my cousin and it was out of this world! I had the salmon and it was really good. The food is incredibly flavorful and they make bread in a flower pot. Very good stuff. Because they were very busy, the food took a little while. It arrived with a manager who apologized for the delay and offered free dessert. This was a really great experience and I hope to come again. Don't let the long lines fool you. Just check in, take a stroll, and wait for the pager to go off. You will love it.

Another option was the soup and salad bar. White bean soup was like wallpaper paste. Broccoli soup was just as pasty but green. Neither had any flavor. Salad bar had bare minimals. Soup bowls were either a tiny butter dish or a ramekin. When I asked for a soup bowl the waitress pointed to my 2 choices. We shared a club sandwich which was ok. Went for breakfast the next day because the nearest town is 20 minutes away. Breakfast buffet was poor so we ordered off the menu. My traditional breakfast was fair. Ham steak was the highlight of my meal. Never got the potatoes that came with my plate. Also a first for me. Got the heal or end of the bread. Whole place is closed next year for major renovations. We hadn't eaten out for a while so we seen this place and thought it looked cute so we walked over from Pilot (across the street) and sat down to order our food. I had to repeat my order 4 times and the "waitress" still wasn't getting it. Simple order "ribeye and shrimp dinner" comes with 2 sides but don't order the onion rings because even though it's on the "sides menu" they charged me $2 extra for the small helping that I received. She looked and asked if we wanted to split the dinner and I said "no want 2 of the ribeye dinners with the 2 sides" she looked puzzled and said "ooohhhh so you want the shrimp basket and a ribeye? I repeated what I wanted 3 more times and each time she looked like a lost deer in the headlights. I showed her the picture on the menu (thank God for pictures because like a two year-old she would not have understood what I wanted without the pictures) the food had ZERO FLAVOUR...after we doused it with salt and pepper it was tolerable at best. The meal was $22 a plate but not worth half what they were charging. Now let's get to the second half of this review The Service As I stated earlier in this review, this girl was not quite all there, she brought me the bill 1/2 way through us eating the meal, said "you can take care of this anytime" but proceeded to come back multiple times like she was waiting for us to pay. When I was looking over the bill, I noticed the two dollar charge for the onion rings and when I asked her about it, she looked at me once again with those deer in the headlight look in her eyes shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know maybe it was a specialty side" and I said no it was on the sides item list. She looked at me like she could care less so I asked her if there was somebody here that would know why they were charging two dollars extra for onion rings. She said no all the managers have gone home for the night so there was nobody there that could answer the question. We paid our bill and left very dissatisfied and now my stomach is kind of upset so I'll probably throw the leftovers away because now I'm not sure if it's going to be safe to eat. The quality of the food is nowhere near what it should be The ribeye steak is like that of which you would buy at Walmart in the box of 5 ribeyes out of the freezer for $15.88 The shrimp is the frozen box of SeaPak shrimp, again that you find at Walmart for $9.87 As my wife and I were walking out the door she overheard them talking crap about us wanting to speak to the manager like they want to keep the manager around all night long to make sure customers are taken care of. Mind you it was not even 5:00 pm yet. And the only reason that I wanted to speak with a manager was the question about the onion rings. Rude unprofessional uninformed staff, probably cracked out, meth heads that couldn't stop twitching for their next fix. The cook kept sliding his jaw like meth heads do when they are high. I almost forgot to mention that the ribeye steak tasted fishy so I'm not sure what that was all about.

The service was okay but we experienced excessive fly population, dirty men's restroom, and no toilet paper in the women's restroom stall. Further, one of the servers spilled a pitcher of a blended mix drink all over the top-shelf liquor bottle shelf and the bar manager walked outside after noticing while the server wiped just the front of the shelf laughing and then walked away.
