I was here today to see a movie that's not playing elsewhere in the area. There are a lot of screens here, it's pretty busy. The line for popcorn is long enough that it dissuaded me from actually getting any popcorn. the seats are comfortable and check-in was pleasant. Easy parking 3 stars for this large chain. Although this isn't the Regal I visit most often, in the area, it's probably the nicest one…read moreoverall. The theater is consistently clean and well maintained. The overall vibe feels comfortable and welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful, even if things tend to move at a slightly more relaxed pace than at some of the other locations. Out of all the Regal theaters in the area, this is the one where I've had the best luck with food. If I ask for a specific item, they usually have it available, which hasn't always been the case elsewhere. They also do a great job with their movie selection, showing a wide range of flicks from the blockbusters to foreign movies, and the occasional smaller release. I do wish they had the small tables like the Elmwood Regal and that the location was a bit closer to me, but that's really just nitpicking. Overall, I've had consistently positive experiences here. It's a theater I'm always happy to visit.

Whatever. Then when I arrived and sat down in the theatre I noticed moths flying around .....and you'll never guess what came flying out of my box of candy! (JFC) Als- the sound in the theatre was absolute dog sh*t. Muffled and barley there. I tried 15 minutes of the movie but couldn't take the shit quality of a potentially awesome film and the fact that my skin felt like it was crawling. Regal ftw I guess?

I have a movie pass so prices don't actually matter to me, but if you don't have one then this theater is the absolutely amazing. Why you ask? Because you can see a movie for $2.50 Monday-Thursday and only $3.00 Friday-Sunday. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing special when you walk through the front door but it has everything you could possibly need here to enjoy a movie, including overpriced popcorn and pop! (Which is 50% on Tuesdays). The actual theater itself was extremely comfortable thanks to the big recliners and the fact that no matter where you sit, you will have an an awesome seat. Overall, this is an incredible bargain compared to other theaters. You may not be seeing the movies that just came out a week ago, but you'll get some that have been out a few weeks or might just about to get a blu-ray release. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Not really a review, just a report about Dipson Amherst Theatre's Secret Cinema, for Tuesday June…read more9, 2026. Because I've gone to Regal's Monday Mystery Movie a few times, I thought I'd compare the two events. IDK when the next Mystery Movie will be, but last night the next Secret Cinema was said to be scheduled for July 14. That would be Bastille Day, if I'm not mistaken, so maybe the movie will be an old French film, or something set in France. Maybe The Pink Panther. No way to know in advance. I did find out on June 8 that Secret Cinema does not show new movies, but went anyway. (The TCM channel is one of my favorites.) Last night The Wizard of Oz was shown on the big screen, after a short talk about the film. Tickets for Secret Cinema are $10 and concessions are half price. Or maybe that's just for popcorn. I'm not sure because all I got to drink was a 20oz bottle of Aquafina, which was $5.50. If you enjoy old movies, "old" being anything from vintage to classic, you will want to check out Dipson Amherst's Secret Cinema. Always a Tuesday night.
