When we got the bill at the end I was surprised how affordable it was overall. I would recommend contacting them to schedule your event and I know we will be back again.

(Which is 50% on Tuesdays). The actual theater itself was extremely comfortable thanks to the big recliners and the fact that no matter where you sit, you will have an an awesome seat. Overall, this is an incredible bargain compared to other theaters. She then informed me of a time to be at the theater. At 5 pm on Thursday, 6/12/25, we pulled up to the theater. The Markee poster " Happy Birthday Sharon". we were greeted by Russell and Nadine and escorted to the front of the theater where a table had been set up with two place settings, a tablecloth, candles and flowers, not real but beautiful. On the huge screen was the title, A Star is Born. Nadine brought in our dinner they ordered for us. There we were , only us, for a private dinner and show. It brought tears. Aside from that, the theaters have always been clean when I go, more importantly, the restrooms are too. What I love, love is that there are recliner seats in every stadium and the distance apart from the back and front seats is PERFECT! I'm one of those people that doesn't like people kicking my seat. I don't want to feel like someone else is right on top of me and these seats are great. They're also numbered so for blockbusters, you should totally use their app and reserve your seats. For those who want to relax with a beer or wine, they have that too. When you walk in, go straight to the register for your tickets and food. I think it would be cooler if there was a register dedicated to "tickets only" instead of also taking peoples food order (you know, for people not buying popcorn and drinks) but I understand they're trying to make use of every register and not overstaff to save money, it's all cool. Because I've gone to Regal's Monday Mystery Movie a few times, I thought I'd compare the two events. IDK when the next Mystery Movie will be, but last night the next Secret Cinema was said to be scheduled for July 14. That would be Bastille Day, if I'm not mistaken, so maybe the movie will be an old French film, or something set in France. Maybe The Pink Panther. No way to know in advance. I did find out on June 8 that Secret Cinema does not show new movies, but went anyway. (The TCM channel is one of my favorites.) Last night The Wizard of Oz was shown on the big screen, after a short talk about the film. Tickets for Secret Cinema are $10 and concessions are half price. Or maybe that's just for popcorn. I'm not sure because all I got to drink was a 20oz bottle of Aquafina, which was $5.50. If you enjoy old movies, "old" being anything from vintage to classic, you will want to check out Dipson Amherst's Secret Cinema. Always a Tuesday night.

We've been a fan of this venue for years. Remember the Nik Wallenda walk across Niagara Falls in 2012? Well we watched it live on the big screen after the showing of the Marilyn Monroe movie Niagara. Went to The Screening Room for the last time, for now…read more We have been going here for many years to watch old movies on the big sreen in a small comfortable setting. We followed them from their previous location and hope to follow them if they reopen in another location. We wish the owners and staff well into the future. Unfortunately, the mall management did not renew their lease because it is closing to become another empty giant graveyard in the Town of Amherst, NY. The town is notorious for allowing developers destroy small business with no legitimate reason or near future plans other than to create humongous empty buildings.
