Patti's was a surprise hit in the suburb/town of White Oak. I can't think of a time that I've ever been to White Oak before but we went there to try Patti's. I've been trying coffee shops all over the Pittsburgh area; competition is stiff but Patti's has left me dreaming for a return visit. We went on a weekday morning. Moments after we arrived an employee brought out a massive tray of fresh stuffed rolls: sausage rolls, pepperoni rolls, spinach-feta rolls, and perhaps another flavor. As soon as we saw that, we knew that's what we wanted. I poked around the multiple bakery display cases (beautiful contents) and also picked something that was like a pinwheel-shaped cheese danish. For a beverage, I tried their Americano. We were shocked that our breakfast order totaled less than $8. The spinach-feta roll was huge, awesome, and only $4. The pastry was also lovely, and more than ample for the $2. The coffee had very good flavor and was only 10 cents more than drip coffee. We enjoyed the space, as well. There are cozy chairs and tables with chairs. They also sell soup, locally made chocolates, and flower bouquets from another local business. We went for a walk around the neighborhood and then picked up an Italian soda to go before hitting the road. Wednesday's daily special is any size Italian soda for $1.50. They use Torani syrups so the soda is nothing special but it was a good deal. Everything else was excellent. read more

We are always looking for a Good Canoli, well we found a Great Canoli, I'm saying this could be in the top three best in the state and we've had them from all over!! This place has the best thumbprint cookies and brownies. And this is coming from someone who loves to bake. Their thumbprints have a creamy icing that's not sweet. Brownies thick n moist . Simply amazing!!! My first time here. And I'm only here because a client asked to meet here. The kielbasa and pepperoni soup (not sure what it's called) was so damn good...and the taco bread rolls...huge and incredible...so tasty...everything is priced low compared to all of the other over rated bakeries, and the food is close to perfect. Nice quick helpful staff. Lady Locks and Cannolis were good not great, I actually would rate the Lady Locks and Cannolis a 3 1/2 star. One of them was filled with Chocolate, but it barely had taste or flavor. My girl and i thought it was slight pricey but tt was clean and since staff was so super nice is why I rate it 4 star. My best friend's birthday was in April. Months beforehand I called bakeries all over the Pittsburgh area looking for a tres leches cake,.. the big ones,... the one the Penguins like, the one Eric Trump graced with his presence, the one with the almond tortes,.... But none of them even entertained the thought of doing one for me. Then one night I was riding home with her from the Waterfront and I noticed Patti's. I immediately searched for their Facebook page and messaged them about the cake. Someone responded the very next day and said they would be happy to make one but I just had to call in because they don't take orders online. I happily called the next week. When I called whoever answered the phone said that they normally don't make it, but she had asked the bakers and they said they knew how so they would be happy to give it a try!! Took my husband with me this morning to investigate. To my surprise a genuine little coffee house and bakery. I quit coffee this past summer so I cant rate the espresso drinks. I did have a cup of decaf which was nothing exciting. Hubby said his reg coffee was better than average. I had a piece of cherry cheese struedel that was delicious. Oh my! Where to start. I really screwed up. I bought a cake from Patti's for a event the next day. And then I did the dumbest thing ever I left it in the car overnight. Early in the morning some vandals broke into my car and took off with the cake! They didn't make it very far though, as anyone would never expect a cake to hold up over night in a car. What was I to do? We moved the party to the alley where we found what remained of the cake, and are watching this great Steeler game while dipping Graham crackers into what's left of the cake! I went in with an open mind and really wanting to like this place. I kept seeing it on social media and hearing great thing about it. I live in North Huntingdon and it's in White Oak and I'm looking for a new coffee place that's not a chain, to stop by on my to work, which I'd be willing to go to a little out of my way for every now and then. The parking lot is an odd set up. Inside is neat and clean and very spacious. You can see the cookies and pastries being made from the front of the store. You can also eat in. I had a few minutes so I stopped by and little did I know, unless you're a regular, I guess you're treated differently. That's the impression I got anyways. A guy waited on me after a few minutes, I ordered a latte and moved out of the way so an older woman could pay for her cookies and cakes and everyone was chatting with everyone else but when I smiled and said "hi" I got a look and no acknowledgement. I left a $1.84 tip on a $4+ drink and the way I was told to have a good day... I guess I was supposed to buy more than a drink? I'm not sure I'll give this place another try after that. Maybe he was having an off day...I don't know, he seemed fine before that and when chatting with coworkers. Oh and the drink good. Not what I was expecting, but good.
