    Absolutely the worst car-buying experience I've had in 25 years of driving…read more I purchased a used Cadillac Escalade from Bill Estes Chevrolet in Lebanon, Indiana, hoping for a safe and reliable vehicle for myself and my three kids. What I received was a misrepresented, overpriced vehicle with immediate mechanical problems and no accountability when things went wrong. Within 100 miles, the check engine light came on. The vehicle began misfiring. I immediately contacted the dealership, asked about returning it, and was told there was nothing to worry about. I brought it in for diagnosis and after being told it would be about $6,000, I received a quote for nearly $10,000 for repairs. After questioning, that number dropped to $6,000, then $3,500, then eventually to $0. None of it made sense, and I was given no written explanation of any repairs or warranties. At one point, the dealership returned the vehicle to my home without my consent and left the keys in my mailbox. I still hadn't received documentation or any formal warranty. My trusted mechanic later confirmed that the brakes were dangerously low and the rear suspension needed major repairs--issues that should have been caught before sale. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue respectfully and through the proper channels, including the Indiana Attorney General's office, I was eventually offered $4,000 on the condition that I stay silent and withdraw all complaints. I declined. I spent months in a borrowed vehicle and months without a reliable vehicle, while continuing to make loan payments and pay full insurance coverage. The check engine light has come on again since the supposed repairs were completed. I still don't know exactly what was done to the vehicle or whether it's even safe to drive. Throughout the process, I experienced shifting stories, incomplete records, vague promises, and no real accountability--not just from the local dealership but from Asbury Automotive Group, the publicly traded parent company. This experience has caused enormous stress, wasted time, and financial loss. I am sharing this because I believe consumers deserve transparency and honesty--especially when making major purchases that affect their families and daily lives. I hope this helps someone else avoid the same pain and frustration. I would not recommend doing business with Leo/Bill Estes Lebanon or any affiliated dealership without having everything in writing, verified independently, and fully documented before signing anything.

First, some insurance guy was sitting in the finance office making like he was the owner, making small talk while you're providing all your personal information. Then comes the warranty extension pitch, which I decline outright. "Give him the friends and family discount Johnny for a mere $4900!" I'll pass, I say. Also passed on the "free" oil change for an additional $550. When I got home, wifey asked why I paid $1400 extra for exterior coverage. Told her, I declined all additional warranties but sure enough there was my signature. Shame on me for not bringing my attorney with me to review the paperwork. Shame on Leo for reaffirming why I hate the car buying experience. It's not about selling cars but selling all the add ons. Apparently no means yes in that world. Truck is nice though. A bit too large. Probably sell or trade in a year or so. Better put my attorney on notice.

    Had a pretty good experience with them after two pretty bad ones with other dealers…read more Inquired about a vehicle, they got back to me (not the fastest but they did eventually). Had something come up so I couldn't go in that day. Called the next day and they told me I could come in any time and they'd have the vehicle out front. Got there and was able to test drive it right away. Ended up buying it and not having to go through the usually hassled of dealerships trying to upsell you. The whole process was quick and and no nonsense. Overall a pleasant experience.

After we confirmed we were going to be making the drive they called and said the o2 sensor was bad. When we arrived they then mentioned the car needed a grill shutter support, which they said they would order the parts (no mention of install) the car was also not detailed on the inside, it smelled like someone had smoked cartons of cigs with the windows up, roof stained, seats stained, etc. It hadn't been serviced at all before them listing it, the oil was very dark in it. The car had a few other codes on it that I cleared out and they didn't come back so we decided to purchase considering we already drove out there and it seemed mechanically fine. We then get halfway home and pull over for gas to find that the headlight bulb, and both license plate light bulbs were blown out. As well as the brakes are shot too and making noise which we couldn't hear when we bought it because it was raining pretty good that day. We also have been trying to contact them since that day to figure out an issue regarding the bank financing they set up and haven't got a response after the sale, but had 5 people up our asses texting and calling all day when they wanted the sale. DONT do business with this place.
