This was my second visit to Tyler Automotive. I went to subpar mechanics recently that I just…read moredidn't trust and my car still didn't feel right. Had my front and rear shocks and struts replaced with a wheel alignment. I had to have my car towed to Tyler's Friday afternoon knowing they're closed on the weekends. I called to let them know my car would be there at whatever time on Friday and whenever they manage to get to it was fine. Becky answered the phone and after I told her what was going on with my car, she let me know I would have to pay for the suspension check since I had the initial repairs done elsewhere - totally reasonable and 100% transparent. I got a text at 2:11pm today to review what they found and they called a few minutes later to go over it and get permission to do what was needed. It was only $70 for the suspension inspection plus a free quality control inspection. They also fixed one of the tire valves for me and filled the front two that were shockingly low. I literally just had all 4 filled elsewhere. The most expensive was the alignment which was $135. A little higher than what I'm used to but honestly, you get what you pay for. They called 2 hours later to let me know my car was ready. It always sucks to have to bring your car in when something is wrong but at least the people working at Tyler Automotive don't make you feel worse about it and know what they're doing

We called Tyler and asked if they could help with a manual transmission car because we'd have to have it towed there. They said yes. Then after we had it towed, they said they didn't know how to work on it. We tried to drive it across the street to Glendale Automotive, but Tyler had killed the battery. So I had to push it back the 10 yards to get it into a parking spot at Tyler and wait for another tow truck. No one from Tyler came out to ask if we were ok or offer help as I pushed. We did get it over to Glendale Automotive with a tow, and Glendale fixed it right up, no problem. If Tyler had just been honest, we could have towed it to Glendale from the jump and saved ourselves a lot of time, money, and literal physical pain from pushing the car.

Needed to find a new place for car repairs and my neighbor had good things to say about A-1. The response I got when I walked in--"we didn't get to it, sorry"--I stared at him waiting for him to suggest a possible solution--he responds with another "sorry" . No customer service--how do you have someone car for 8hrs and then no suggest a solution?? Then having 5 stars must be outdated.

I walked to his shop one day because I was changing my oil by myself. Well I couldn't get the oil filter off and I asked him for a tool to borrow (mind you it was 30 minutes before closing time) he offered me a ride back to my truck and even got up under my truck and worked his magic he is a life saver as I was basically stranded in a parking lot! Whenever she showed up she was kindly greeted and helped in the lot with no wait. They talked her through what the issue was as they fixed it and told her to come back if she had any more problems. I had taken my 2019 Ford Escape to Pearson Ford because I thought the starter had gone out when it…read morewouldn't start despite having a new battery and gas in my car. They tried to tell me I needed a whole new engine for around $12k. I had it towed to Sharp's Automotive for a second opinion. While part of what the dealership said was true, Sharp's was able to actually fix my engine without replacing it. There was a part that had to go to a separate machine shop for work to be done on it. The machine shop was backlogged and didn't get to my part for a week and a half, but I don't blame Sharp's since that was beyond their control. Apparently, my engine timing belt needed to be replaced along with a few other things; they also did an oil change. The timing tool they had was missing a part due to a former employee not putting it back where it belongs and they couldn't find it. So they ordered the missing part and had to wait a day to receive it. My engine timing parts were complicated for putting back together, so it took longer than he thought it would. He promised me I would get my car back on a certain day even if he had to work late. I did get my car back on the day he promised. All in all, I spent less than $5k for the work and I'm happy to have my car back in my garage. Steven was the mechanic who worked on my car; he communicated well about the progress and I think he did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone!
