Review of the restaurant only. The GA airport is a gem in itself but that's for a specialist…read moreaudience. Met a pal here recently for breakfast on a summer Tuesday morning. Not that easy to find if you haven't been before. Acres of free parking with the 1st floor restaurant in the main terminal building overlooking the ramp and runway. The restaurant, recently rebranded as Derbys but looks the same to me, was quiet as was the field. My companion ordered the full Irish and I asked for scrambled eggs on/in toast (see below) His breakfast was the usual mix of sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms and beans. My eggs were something else. I'd never had a scrambled egg sandwich before with a handful of crisps on the side. Peculiar to say the least. The server put it down to my saying scrambled egg IN toast as opposed to scrambled egg ON toast. Nope, me either. That said, a perfectly adequate repast accompanied by plenty of coffee and good chat passed a pleasant hour or so. Whilst I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, it's not bad and a reasonable fuel stop.
