This company and owner Jacob is incredible! During a very snowy and slippery evening I was hauling an horse trailer with horse in it! As we were crossng a bridge our van skidded into the median. Fortunately we amd thorse was OK. Pattons towing came to the site right away and spent the better part of three hours helping to hook up trailer and van Their main concern as they said repeatedly w as that we and the horse were safe! They opened their big truck for me to sit in and then they drove me, the horse trailer and the horse home to Olmsted Township OH stpopping every three miles or so to check on the horse! However, if the motor vehicle has a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating in excess of ten thousand pounds and is a truck, bus, or a combination of a commercial tractor and trailer or semitrailer, not more than one hundred fifty dollars for the removal. (ii) Not more than twelve dollars per twenty-four-hour period for the storage of the motor vehicle. However, if the motor vehicle has a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating in excess of ten thousand pounds and is a truck, bus, or a combination of a commercial tractor and trailer or semitrailer, not more than twenty dollars per twenty-four-hour period for storage. Jacob saved the day! The recent snowstorm trapped one of my friends driving into the neighborhood. After failing miserably to dig her car out, we flagged down the tow truck that just pulled my neighbor in, and after discussing the rates (very reasonable), Jacob told my friend and me to hop in his truck to warm up while he prepped the car for towing. (Sidenote: the man is a pro at operating that tow/lift... I can only imagine he completely cleaned out those crane games when he was a kid haha). Once we get to the house, Jacob jumps out and starts helping me shovel a spot for the car! Not only that... he put a piece of wood under her tires so she could get out easier! The man saved the day in so many ways! TLDR: Would definitely recommend Patton's, Jacob went above and beyond what I would ever expect, much less in the middle of a snowstorm. My Honda S2000 broke down coming back from Cleveland today. I live in columbus (I.e. 136 miles away.) My car is modified and sits relatively low to the ground and requires a special kind of tow truck to tow. The company sent Don out and as I had another vehicle already, I was able to leave and Don took care of the rest. Very personable guy, and got to me in a reasonable amount of time (was processed as an Allstate road side assistance claim.) Fast forward 2 hours, Don arrives with with my vehicle in tow and everything is fine. He played and chatted with my kids while unloading my car and was incredibly helpful. These guys are slimeballs, avoid at all costs. Seriously, I'll call AAA and wait hours before even thinking of using these guys. Their attitude stinks. The drivers aggressive, gruff and rude. Not the kind you want to be left on the side of the road with. Their tow yard is an eye sore, their storage fees outrageous, then they give you more attitude when you go to pick up a car. You could complain, but who would listen? They're juiced in with the locals with an exclusive tow contract with the city. My car was impounded after a traffic stop; apparently $365 (impound fee 2 days) was not sufficient enough for this company. Add EXTORTION to the list for these guys. When i went to get my car they said oh you have q is it a big baby though I may have please just stop for a charger and take it home my god it's freezing fucking coldno brakes so it MUST be tow only home. My brakes were done 2 days prior to the situation occurring... Not too mention when I pulled over for the cops with no issues. So I asked the them to show me this when i got to the lot, they refused. I asked if i could go and show them that they work, I was denied this as well. FOUR HOURS later the tow truck driver was taking my car off the flatbed warning my husband theres no brakes. He is the one who did the brakes so he knows this could only be the case in the event that they messed with the car. He gets the car and confirms what we already knew. Pattons Towing with EXTORT you and it wont be cheap either. This explains why the only customers they have are the ones that have no choice because the cops impounded their car. BE AWARE! (just a side note because I have worked in customer service my entire life since i was able to have a real job that is. In my 10+ years of experience I have to come see that if you have a negative experience somewhere and you do not inform at least the person/company just a short like hey this is what happen and I am upset, not happy, calling my lawyer... but seriously they cant fix the issue if they are not even aware it happen. Crooks! I was in an accident and my wife called my preferred auto shop to dispatch a tow. The city happened to used the same tow company. Our call to them came in first (by at least 10 minutes) and it was our express instruction to take out car to the shop not the yard. The driver told me that my shop didn't perform body work (my auto shop has a contract with these dirt bags; or I should say did) and the adjuster would have to see it first anyway. I was in no condition to think over the details having just been in an accident. My wife goes to our preferred auto shop and has them arrange delivery to the shop the same evening. They (the shop and tower) get into a big argument over storage fees and a second towing fee. The tow company says that they "suggested" taking it to the yard; in my state, I'd say that I was talked out of it. In the end, we got the car to the right place, but I'm sure I'll have to fight some fees. I'll be taking this up with the city where the accident happened also. These guys are scammers. read more

SCAM! I called on the recommendation of my car dealership to have my car towed. When I called, the woman was extremely nice/professional. I asked for a quote - gave her my car make, model, and reason for the tow (bad alternator), AND MY LOCATION. She quoted my $65. They delivered my car to the dealership just fine, however when I reviewed my debit card activity the following day, they charged me $125.30 for the service. I was NOT that far from the dealership, unless you took the route via China, so the additional mileage shouldn't have been almost double the initial quote. In any event, I should have been at least notified of the rate difference. I'm SO LIVID and will report to BBB. read more

I just had a run-in with this "reputable" company. From my tow as a food service industry delivery man... ridiculous. My car sat for less than 8 mins. still "hot". I was told that I was in the wrong for delivering to the address. Lied to about my car's where abouts and otherwise misled under the circumstances of a company that is not honest, nor fair in their business practices. Dishonesty and negativity toward fellow members of the service industry is sad, wrong, and of poor moral fiber. I just walked back 2 miles to my restaurant. I agree major rip off. My son was involved in a minor accident and police called for towing. My son asked that his car be towed to Parma location but tow truck driver insisted the car would need to be taken to their impound and the insurance would reimbursed. Well long story short, the accident happened 1/2 mile from Patton's towing and they charged 150 for towing, storage fee and taxes. The next morning I went with my son and had to pay an additional 90 bucks for them to tow to repair shop. When I asked clerk why the car was not towed there in the first place like my son had asked, everyone one in the office looked confused and came up with lame excuse that there were other accidents the driver needed to get to, wow. This business is a scam out to get money. The owner, Jacob, and his drivers are rude and dishonest. Last evening, my car was towed by Patton's Towing from a parking lot next to Eddy's and Iggy's at 17900 Detroit Ave. Lakewood. The entrance to the parking lot is on the far right side of the lot, and there is NO sign present by the entrance that says you can not park in the lot. You enter between 2 brick walls and there is no sign. I immediately turned right into a spot. Again, there was no sign present. It was later pointed out that there is a small sign closer to the left side of the parking lot, however, is is not easily visible when pulling in and parking immediately. Within an hour last night, three cars near me were towed at 100.00 a pop. The driver told me it happens every night of the week with several cars a night. Surely, people like myself would not be pulling in this lot if the lot was properly marked. The driver of the tow truck told me they were going to put signs out front on the brick walls, but when he went to look, he said obviously they had not. The driver also said he understood that is was deceiving because the sign was not when you pulled in and parked. This to me sounds like a scam to make a large amount of money each night to tow away innocent people since the lot is not clearly marked and it is very easy to pull in and park to the right and never see a sign. After talking to some patrons in Eddy's and Iggy's this has been going on for a long time. It sounds like Patton's Towing has found quite a money maker by not clearly advertising cars will be towed for parking in the lot or simply no parking signs. I tried to call the owner and he was extremely rude and would not discuss it. He insisted the one small sign, towards the center of the lot and closer to the left side was sufficient enough. Ninety minutes later, still no truck, so I called and was told that they were called by the police for another job. They didn't bother to call and tell me. They told me they'd be there in 30 minutes. Thirty minutes later, they called back and told me they were still running behind. After sitting in a freezing car with no heat (and in subzero weather) for more than two hours in a parking lot, I'd had enough and told them to forget it. The absolute worst.
