Do not trust this place whatsoever. Took my car here for a few noises to be diagnosed. One was repaired but had an issue with the noise still existing. They refused that anything was wrong but let slip that they put my car back on the lift and "did something". Received a recommended service list, had my upper control arm replaced since that was stated to be making the noise, well after being replaced the noise is still there. They lie to customers and take advantage of those who are ignorant to car maintenance. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Not worth the money for what they do. read more

Where to even start. My friend and I were driving from Michigan to Cleveland. My car broke down as we were paying the toll, and we had to push it into the employee parking lot at the toll booth. It was the middle of the night on a Saturday, and we were already late getting to our hotel, so I was getting quite cranky. I called roadside through my insurance, and the first tow truck driver told me he wouldn't come out. So I called back, and they sent the call to Pro Automotive. I am SO glad they did. First, the driver took the time to listen to the symptoms of my car and helped me determine that I needed a tow, not just a jump. (All signs were pointing to the alternator, but I was in denial.) So he came out and towed us back to the shop. I was apprehensive about letting a random shop work on my car, but he assured us that Rami would take good care of the car. (As a woman, I'm always wary of getting ripped off when it comes to car repairs.) I checked their Google reviews, and was frankly shocked at how many great reviews they had. So, I agreed to leave the car with them and they would look at it Monday morning, and then they drove us out to our hotel. Seriously, who does that anymore? We were so relieved to at least get to where we were going I could have cried. Fast forward to Monday morning. I called at 10:30, just to get a sense of where we were at on time since checkout at our hotel was noon... and Rami told us to come on over to get it! I was stunned that he was ready so soon. When we got to the shop, everything was ready for us. He replaced the alternator, since that was in fact the problem, as well as a belt that I didn't even mention to him but knew was in desperate need of replacing since it had been squealing for a while. The price blew me away--in a good way--especially after doing a little Google research on pricing an alternator replacement. Everything was perfect on my drive home, and I'm confident he did a great job with the repairs. He also gave me a list of other repairs to get done, and since I'm from out of state, I have no doubt they actually need done and aren't just a way to get more money out of me. Honestly, if I didn't live three hours away, I'd take it back to him to get the rest of the work done. It's a rare situation where a car repair actually becomes a high point in a road trip, but that's exactly what happened. I came to Pro Automotive because of great reviews and a referral. I left Pro Automotive feeling cheated and sad. My car had a very complex problem that was not identified. Instead of solving the mechanical issue, they thought that it was the sensors and the computer that were sensing the wrong thing - when in fact, what they were sensing was ACTUALLY happening. After I spent $1000 to get my car out of their shop, and another $500 to get the actual issue fixed by someone, I called them and said I would be happy to pay for the parts, but wanted my money for labor back. Under Ohio consumer protection laws, this is actually more than fair on my part (consumers arent' liable for unnecessary repairs). They said no, and that they needed to see the car again in order to determine what actually happen. After such a disastrous experience with them, there was no way I was letting them put my car back up on a lift. I don't want to be personal about this as Rami seems to be an ok guy, but if you've need more than tires, brakes, and an oil change, you need to go to another shop with more technical expertise. read more

I am so relieved my boyfriend and I used Rami's services with Pro Automotive. We were midway through our road trip from Minneapolis to Boston when our newly purchased '05 Nissan Murano decided to DIE just as we reached the toll booth outside of North Olmsted. This was a nightmare for a number of reasons: 1. Because I had a meeting in Boston in two days and could not afford a prolonged, expensive stay in Ohio. 2. Because we were traveling with a new puppy that just decided now was the time to get sick and most importantly, 3. BECAUSE WE JUST BOUGHT THE CAR!!! Without a clue as to why it suddenly stopped working, we were forced to tow our vehicle to the nearest body shop with the soonest appointment availability--which, thankfully, happened to be Pro Automotive. After a 10 minute conversation with the owner, Rami, he reassured me that whatever the issue was with my car he would do his very best to help us get back on the road. The road service worker with AAA made the incorrect guess that it was a bad alternator after running a series of shoddy tests. Rami pointed out the misdiagnosis just from repeating our conversation. After the tow, Rami kindly dropped us off at our hotel and promised to start working on the vehicle ASAP. Two hours later, he found the issue (NOT the alternator, thankfully), repaired it, and got us right back on the road! My car died on the side of the road after a long shopping day in North Olmstead. since I am from Sandusky, I had no idea where to have it towed. A very helpful (and cute) police officer suggested that I take it to Pro Automotive. He told me they were very nice and honest and he was absolutely right. They did a full diagnostic test on my my car and found exactly what was wrong with it (along with about 10 other thing wrong with it). Unfortunately it would have cost more to fix the car than it was worth so I needed to have the car scrapped. They took care of everything. They paid me what they could for the car and all I had to worry about was getting all of my junk out of it. They were incredibly friendly and explained everything to me. As far as towing...i have never had a tow truck arrive so fast! I called at 7:30pm and Shawn was there in 5 minutes or less. The tow was $85 but i was OK with that being it was after hours and he towed my car to a different repair location then Pro Auto. He was very careful with my BMW which i really appreciated. They have a partnership with Take 5 Oil. These guys did an inspection on our vehicle without our permission. Take 5 Oil left a Vice Grip on our coolant hose which we didn't find until a month later. They also failed to check our transmission fluid which they were paid to do. North Olmsted Pro Auto, without our consent did an inspection of the car and determined that the $4,800 in damages were not caused by the folks at Take 5 Oil? When I talked to their tech I asked why Take 5 Oil would not tell us the transmission fluid is low, he said "they don't have the tools to do that." I asked, "they don't have the tools to check a dip stick". He informed me my vehicle doesn't have a dip stick to check transmission fluid levels. Ummmmm yes it most certainly does. So, the guy in charge of making a decision if their buddies at Take 5 Oil are responsible doesn't even know there's a dip stick to check the fluid....and I'm supposed to trust his expert opinion. Still wouldn't start so I called Pro-Automotive because it was close to work and a friend had told me that if I needed anything done I should take my car there. I will say being a holiday weekend, I assumed they wouldn't be there and if they were I wouldn't get my car back till later the next week.
