She's so good that at one point I was going to her weekly just to release all the stress I'd build up in my body over the week. Times back then were really stressful for me. I remember going on my lunch hour when she was working down the street from my office. I remember those good o' days. I wish she still had her shop down the street, then I would go so much more often. Now she's moved to a shop down the way from the Arden Mall, if you know the area she's closer to the Nordstrom Rack, a few streets behind them. This new location isn't so convienent for me anymore, but I have to love it as it has fabulous parking. They have there own private lot so there is always spaces available. The building is new and fresh. They recently got all new floors and benches so it's even more freshened up now. Baanpo Thai Massage will be moving down the hall to an even bigger space soon. You're going to love it as it's so much more spacious then there currently location a few feet away. Here is their description of the Thai Herbal Ball Massage : For centuries, the people of Thailand have used herbs such as zingiber, lemongrass, caffer-lime, pommelo peel, tanaka, turmeric ect. to accelerate healing of the body. These herbal balls are streamed to release the herbs healing properties and the heat is used to relax tight muscles. The warm herbal balls are excellent at releasing tired sore muscles, increasing blood flow, detoxifying, and relaxing the body. This treatment is used in combination with traditional Thai massage to work on specific parts of your body that need special attention for muscular tightness or pain The Herbs aren't overpowering and I could smell the faint whiff of lemongrass. If you are more up naming your scents you probably could smell them all. My noes is just too immature for that. The massage started out with a Thai Massage to relax the muscles then she went into the Thai Herbal Ball Massage (a traditional Thai healing treatment that involves pressing steamed muslin compresses--packed with aromatic and therapeutic herbs--along the body's muscles and energy lines.) and ended with stretching. It was very relaxing and I enjoyed the massage a lot. I always forget how much I love the Thai Herbal Ball Massage and usually get the Thai Combo Massage. A Thai Combo Massage is half Thai massage and half Swedish massage. It's also very good, but totally different. I also love the hot stone massage. I used to get that all the time in the cooler months. I'd love to get one now, but I worry about them getting too hot giving it as it's so hot outside. Though the room and building have air conditioning so it's never too hot inside and it's always the perfect temperature. Tammy did a great job on my Thai Herbal Ball Massage and I highly recommend her and the Thai Herbal Ball Massage.

My friend recommended it to me before (I have yet to book an appointment, but soon) and they have physical gift card that you can order. I believe I emailed them on a Wednesday and asked how long it would take. I spoke to Zach who told me it should get there, but if it didn't, I could come in and get it if it didn't arrive by Saturday. The birthday gathering was Saturday night. Zach was great with communicating with me and asked me to follow up with him. Thankfully, the card got there and I even saw he said he'd have driven one over if he had to. That's going above and beyond, which I'm grateful for. Every step of the way was easy and I didn't feel like a bother trying to get my last minute gift. It came in the cutest little card, too! Made me feel special and the gift wasn't even for me. Makes me excited to do business with them in the future!

6 Stars Lisa Souza,…read moreCMT, has performed her stellar massage therapy in San Francisco and also at her Sacramento studio for many years. I found Lisa through her incredible Yelp reviews listing her practice in the City of Sacramento. If any of my readers has followed my reviews of massage therapists, you will know that I am a connoisseur of the bodywork arts. I, myself, am a graduate of one of the best massage colleges in the country and worked as a highly rated, certified massage therapist [CMT] at a day spa in Sonoma County for a time. I am also a metaphysician and a human detector of fine energies manifesting in this plane of existence. What this means in actuality is that I not only value outstanding technical skills, knowledge, and experience, I place great importance on intuition, compassion through touch, and metaphysical gifts. In Lisa's own website, throughthelayers.com, she describes an aspect of her work as "multi-dimensional massage." Whether or not you understand this---you and your body will definitely feel this when you receive bodywork from Lisa. I ran across a very gifted CMT/ANMT a couple years back here in Sacramento. Like Lisa, she was eminently competent with technical skills, deep education and training, and a powerful intelligence to back up her obvious talent. However, what elevates Lisa Souza to a higher plateau is her maturity as an adult, her sensitivity and willingness to be responsible for her emotions, and her own lovely level of mental health and overall well being. Revealing these qualities might be a bit personal and I hope Lisa views my compliments as a testament to her awesomeness as an extraordinary human being . . . because she is to me. The world needs souls like Lisa to give their gifts to humankind to support us, to help us learn from life, and especially in Lisa's case, to heal us as we battle each day at a time, outside and inside our bodies. I received my sixth massage from Lisa yesterday and I can attest that she "dynamically inspired creative wellness from within" me, yet again. Thank you, Lisa Souza, CMT. I feel blessed to know you. She very attentively dials into what's going on with the your body on any given day. Far from the rote treatment that one often gets. For me, that seems to mean a session that is some _ad hoc_ combination of deep-tissue and sports massage. Highly effective combination. (Other people's glowing reviews here, their specific choice of words to describe the quality of Lisa's work, are consistent with my experience.) Lisa's a gem. _So_ glad she's here in Sac. And she's a pleasure to work with. Do yourself a (big) favor: Schedule a massage with Lisa today!

I've been coming back to Just Relax Massage consistently, and they never disappoint. Every Massager…read morewe've had there has been very skilled, strong, and professional. They really know how to apply deep pressure and are excellent at finding and working through stubborn knots. What I appreciate most is that they always check in during the massage to make sure the pressure is okay and adjust as needed, which shows they genuinely care about your comfort and experience. They are very attentive throughout the session--offering water, making sure we're comfortable, and staying focused on problem areas rather than rushing through the massage. You can tell they listen to what your body needs and take their time working out tight muscles. After every visit, we feel noticeably better, looser, and more relaxed, with a huge difference in how our neck, shoulders, and back feel. The room itself is simple and looks fine--nothing overly fancy--but the quality of the massage is what really matters to me. I'd rather have an amazing, strong massage than a luxury room with mediocre work, and this place delivers every time. That's why I always come back. If you're looking for therapists who are strong, experienced, and truly effective at relieving knots and tension, Just Relax Massage is a great choice.

I left feeling like I had wasted my money rather than feeling relaxed or satisfied with the service. What bothered me even more was what happened when it was time to tip. The woman became very pushy and aggressive about the tip and was trying to tell me how much I should give the lady that massaged me . A tip is supposed to reflect the customer's satisfaction with the service--it should never be demanded or pressured out of someone. After paying $60 for a massage I was already unhappy with, being pressured for a specific tip made the experience even worse. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place based on my experience.
