They do give you the exact massage time of what you're paying for. I felt very comfortable and safe throughout the entire experience. I was feeling quite tired and sore after. They mostly focused on my middle to upper back but they do massage your legs and arms as well. I also received a dry scalp massage and experienced some swelling after but was told it's all normal after a deep tissue massage. They also offer to scrub your back for an extra $10 but I decided not to try it, will definitely keep it in mind for next time though. We also got free mini water bottles and some candy once the service was done. Only giving this a 4 star as one lady had to keep leaving the room to answer the phone. During the massage, I could constantly hear movement and the door being bumped into, which made it hard to fully unwind. I knew how much I had on my gift card. At that time, I understood there was a remaining balance left on the card after my service. When I later visited another Massage Envy location on 6/11/2026 to schedule and receive another massage, I was informed that the remaining balance on my gift card had been marked as "gifted." I never authorized any gifting, transfer, donation, or other use of the remaining funds. I will be contacting corporate to file a complaint regarding this Elk Grove location for clarification and a full transaction history for the card, including the original balance, what was used during my massage, and what happened to the remaining balance. I am also requested confirmation of any authorization for the change in status, since I did not approve any transfer! I would appreciate a prompt resolution and restoration of any gift card funds that were removed without my authorization.
