What an industry! I was up north with my family for the weekend and came home to standing water…read morethroughout the first floor of my house. My first call was to a plumber for help. Before the plumber even arrived, three different restoration companies showed up at my door. The strange part? I never called any of them and nobody told me anyone was coming out. I did overhear one of the technicians I allowed in for a "free evaluation" on speakerphone with the plumber asking if a $2,000 finder's fee sounded reasonable. I kept my mouth shut but it definitely raised some red flags. I listened to all three companies separately and then decided to do some serious research online. While some companies have plenty of glowing Google reviews, once you start looking at other sources like Yelp, the Arizona ROC, and the BBB, the picture can look very different. Consider this a friendly warning to homeowners: do your homework. After digging deeper, I was fortunate to find ASAP Restoration. One thing that immediately stood out is that they do not work referral deals with plumbers, do not pay kickbacks, and do not play games with deductibles. They simply focus on doing the job correctly. The team was extremely professional. The mitigation/demo crew handled the water damage quickly and thoroughly, and the reconstruction team has been excellent. We're now about 90% finished with the rebuild and everything is coming together great. I just felt the need to share my experience before heading out for spring break. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, take a breath, do your research, and call a company that focuses on integrity and quality work. For me, that company was ASAP Restoration.

Your efforts saved us more than 50% compared to other companies' estimates for the exact same scope of work something we're still amazed by. The third-party consulting firm was equally impressed with the quality and professionalism demonstrated by your crew. Please extend our thanks and appreciation to your technicians for the marvelous job they performed. We truly value your commitment to excellence and integrity, and we look forward to working with you again in the future. Overall the best prices I could find for full house restoration service.

If there were six stars, I'd give them to Elvis. Ten stars: same. He's the best, most responsible,…read moremost talented contractor we've had the good fortune to hire. He's simply amazing. Our work with Elvis started at the end of a major rewire. We had a basement that needed sheetrock around a large existing room as well as some new framing. Elvis' estimate was fair and reasonable: he clearly knew how to think about the work, to see around corners I couldn't see around, and I was confident in hiring him that he would do a good job. It wasn't until he started working that I realized how much I'd underestimated both the project's complexity and Elvis' skills. Turns out a lot of the framing was out of level. That the wire runs had created many complicated issues. And that some of the things we had only partly thought through would take a lot more time and effort than we'd thought. Other contractors might have handled these challenges differently, but Elvis approach was completely unselfish and focused on the best outcome for the project. He took every challenge as an opportunity to make things better. Turns out, he's also an excellent carpenter, so that entailed everything from making beautiful built-in work surfaces to finding ways to incorporate the huge redwood beams in our ceilings and walls into the finished work. He even suggested and implemented a lovely stucco finish over the perfectly-installed sheetrock to bring things together. The result is that what started as a serviceable basement is now a lovely cellar. What's important about that, beyond the craftsmanship, is that the outcomes are really all due to Elvis' great eye and his patient, thoughtful work. Elvis is a master craftsman. I can't recommend him highly enough. And we'll always be thankful to him for his lovely work.

Initially I was quoted a specific amount for the task, and after completion there was a shift in the price. Make sure you hire a professional tile cleaner as R.R. continued to clean my floors without first testing a tile (or just one room) let alone the whole house leaving it with a film, their footprints, and an inadequate unfinished job. The upside is they did NOT charge me, but left the entire tiled home with a mess as described. The worker having known the streaks it left still continued with the whole home even after I brought the streaks to his attention in the entrance to my wash room. After he was "done" with the entire home floors it was discussed that I had a "wax" coating that left streak marks from their machine. And I would need a chemical peel/removal of wax buildup? This business I consider as "professionals"? Not after the mess that was left. They also discussed that the condition of my tile (due to age) needed a whole home regrouting. I asked for an estimate and I have yet to hear back after 2 weeks? I am NOT unreasonable but hard to believe that RAINBOW RESTORATION has LEFT me with a mess!

I was fortunate because I knew someone who worked in the flood and fire industry. I called my friend and within minutes Ted from Silverton Restoration got a hold of me. In less than an hour he had a crew at my house removing the water, carpet and drywall. By the end of the day our home was full of their dehumidifying machines and things were getting dried out. After everything that was damaged was removed from our home and things were dry Ted was also our contractor for all of the restoration, upgrades and repairs. Working with Ted was a great experience and he always answered or returned my calls in a timely manner. When your life is turned upside down from a fire or flood having someone that is transparent about the process and effectively communicating with you is huge. Having one point of contact for not only the dry out but also the restoration was invaluable. I was fortunate that when our home flooded I knew of someone to call for help.
