I had Bill and his crew come out for an assessment and options for mitigating the radon levels. I scheduled an appointment to have a system installed and on that day they showed up promptly in a neat, clean, well equipped van. We discussed options for mounting the system and they began the installation. I was a bit nervous about having holes drilled in my slab and foundation, however their equipment bored perfect holes in a short amount of time. (No jackhammers here!). The installation went well, and I was very impressed that they took time to use levels and other equipment to ensure the installation was correct both in the attic, and the mechanical equipment on the outside of the house. I was also impressed that the crew was not rushed and trying to get the job done as fast as they could. When they didn't have the correct mounting hardware on the truck, Bill went to a supply house and secured the correct materials instead of trying to "Mickey Mouse" the installation by using what they had on hand. Very impressive. They even painted the equipment to match the colors of the house. After the job was complete they ensured that the installation was working properly, and after letting the installation stabilize for 2 weeks I again used the test kits. These results came back at .9 which was a huge reduction from the earlier 6.2 level. I can highly recommend this company for their excellent work and professionalism.

We specialize in radon mitigation; this is all we do! We will perform a visual inspection of your home and design a system that considers specific features of your home. If this inspection doesn't provide enough information, we may need to perform diagnostic tests during the initial phase of the installation to help develop the best radon reduction system for your home. According to the EPA's "A Citizen's Guide to Radon", the method to reduce radon "primarily used is a vent pipe system and fan, which pulls radon from beneath the house and vents it to the outside", which is also called sub-slab depressurization, active soil depressurization, or soil suction. Generally indoor radon can be mitigated by sub-slab depressurization and exhausting such radon-laden air to the outdoors, away from windows and other building openings. Upon having our master shower remediated for mold through our home insurance policy, we were on the hunt for a company that could reconstruct the shower. I submitted a request through Yelp, and Global Prevention Services responded and got me scheduled for a consultation immediately. Shortly after this consultation, the Global Prevention Services Project Coordinator, Kimberly, put together several service estimates for me, as we weren't yet sure the direction we wanted to go with the shower tile. Kimberly was patient with us as we picked out materials and went back and forth on what we wanted to do! Due to our mold experience, we ultimately decided we wanted to limit the amount of grout in the shower, in hopes of minimizing the chances of it failing. With that, we started the reconstruction! Throughout the whole process, Kimberly and Rudy, the project manager, were incredibly thorough, communicative, and overall, just really helpful. We could not be more grateful for the time and effort both Kimberly and Rudy spent trying to make our shower dreams come true. I would also love to give a shout out to all of the guys who helped load and unload HUGE porcelain slabs -- that is no easy feat! I think it is also important to thank both the CEO, Michael and the President, Jeanette for checking in throughout the project to ensure our satisfaction. I have never been treated with so much care as a customer. The whole team deserves recognition for the role they played in getting this job to the finish line. The only thing left to do is install the shower door. We can't wait to use and love this shower for years to come!

I live out of state so she kept me updated on progress and if a problem came up, she provided many options and solutions ready to go! Michael and Rudy were so great in explaining what needed to be done and saving me money in places where updates weren't needed for a rental! THEY WILL SAVE YOU MONEY WHERE THEY CAN! Unlike other companies that try to sell you on doing things that aren't needed! They worked so well with my budget, even did extra work here and there to make sure the place looked great for tenants! Don't hesitate to reach out to them! You'll never need to look for another remodeling business again... My go to for any future rental properties in AZ! Such a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with them again!

Arizona Foundation Solutions - Measuring horizontal cracks in a concrete stem wall

I had a great experience getting the free estimate from AFS. Due to a miscommunication, I missed…read morethe initial appointment. David S., the estimator, was very understanding. We talked on the phone. I had many questions. He took the time to answer them all. With rescheduling, the office staff were always friendly and accommodating. David S. was knowledgeable and informative, but never sales-y. After the inspection, he emailed a report with the measurement data, a diagram of the home indicating where repairs would be made and several options. No repeated calls or pressure to schedule work soon. The foundation stabilization and repair options included installing helical and push piers, underpinning, the poly filler, stem wall patches and repairs. There was a lot offered and the overall total was very costly. I do understand I'm not just paying for getting the piers installed, but all the knowledge, time and coordination to get there. After the initial freak-out at seeing the cost, I know I can discuss with David S. what parts are critical and how to reduce the total. There were various degrees, like a base package versus something that had more features. Some items AFS would be contracting out, so there's potential to save if I hired those contractors directly. I believe the specialty of AFS is installing piers. If you only need foundation patching, you might search for structural concrete specialists. As some reviewers noted, utilizing AFS will be much more expensive in those situations. Ask your contact. If you're a homeowner reading this, you're probably worried about some things you've seen in your home. The last thing you need is the added stress of someone trying to get you to sign off on a project. Of course, if it was urgent...fortunately, my home isn't in danger of falling down tomorrow. I'm grateful AFS provided a no-cost, no-pressure assessment. David S. provided the data for me to make an informed decision. He didn't use any and fear or pressure tactics. When hiring a contractor, I want one that I can have a collaborative conversation with. I can't speak to the installation itself, but if I decide to go with piers, poly fill or underpinning, I feel good reaching out to David S. to further discuss and make changes to the solution. I haven't decided on what to do with the foundation. There are more urgent home repairs. I also wanted to make sure I found root causes and to make sure those were addressed. Something I learned through this process: if you're seeing signs of foundation settlement, look for areas that are wet by pushing a stick around the perimeter of the house. Even if unused, sprinkler systems, irrigation or service lines can have water leaks that will cause the soil to expand and shrink. Those lines need to be repaired or if unused, capped off. I have unused sprinkler lines running right along the back of the house! Oh, after scheduling the appointment, AFS sent a book about foundation issues. It cost a bit to send. I support reducing waste. If you don't want the book, I wonder if you can ask them not to send and email a link instead!
