UPDATE: On Google Reviews, the owner responded and dismissed quite a bit of the review including assuming that I was a disgruntled ex employee. Which seems kind of funny because why would you immediately believe that I was an ex employee rather than a previous customer. Seems rather silly when they knowingly hired sub-par subcontractors. I'm providing my response below: I trust the owner will be able to identify who I am since they've needed to return on more than one occasion for warranty work. The owner's assumption that this is a fake review is inaccurate. They are well aware of our project since we have had numerous warranty issues that they've had to come and fix. I was told my review was read and acknowledged. I was told the former project manager was a "dirtbag" and a "car salesman". I'm not sure why the owner is acting as though this review is inaccurate. I was also told that the subcontractors that were assigned to us are no longer with ACR. I find it kind of disappointing that the owner chose to discredit this review rather than just take accountability, especially being dismissive about the paint brush comment. Nothing in this review was rude or subjective; all based on facts -- most of which his employees have shared with me. This company is amazing. I call them for everything! Plumbing, electrical, remodeling, etc... I called them to fix my bathroom... they remodeled my bathrooms in 2 weeks. I called them to repair my house, and they handled it the same week at a decent price. I just moved out of my house, and during close, we encountered a plumbing issue... My insurance company assigned them to my claim. Should have known out of the gate that they where not a performing company when they are not allowed to have business cards. Estimator came out, missed items. They sent a second estimator out, who also missed items. Their super came out to look at the project, bashed on their other employees. Update response to Zach: your company sent a work authorization, which was signed and returned. Your firm tried to collect my deductible, although it was already applied towards the mitigation portion of the claim. You sent your super out to take a look at the project, get selections and go over the repair process. USAA sent you three checks, see attached, seems odd for an estimate only assignment. Why not be honest? Perhaps USAA and Contractor Connection should be aware of your response as well as service level failure required by your company to be eligible for claims? read more

This company used to be one of the best, but is under new management and has really taken a turn for the worse. Eight weeks after storm damage to my home, I still have no idea when work is expected to begin. Three times I've been told that our project will be scheduled at the next meeting, but so far has not been scheduled. Three weeks have gone by since I've heard from my project manager, who doesn't answer my calls or texts. Twice I've been told someone will call me to discuss the project but never called. More than once I've arranged time to stay home from work to meet someone who was supposed to come start the work but never showed up. Works stalls because someone "forgot," or because they discover an issue they should have seen months ago. I understand that everyone is very understaffed right now, but this does not explain the total lack of professionalism or communication we've experienced. I've never worked with a company with such a complete disregard for your time. I would never recommend ACR to anyone, and my insurance company will also no longer recommend this company to its customers. read more

Unfortunately I can't leave a zero star review! They caused damage to house during a roof repair then refused to fix it without us filing another claim with our insurance company. Seems like a common thread with them after looking at other reviews. They claim I refused to sign a contract but they forget I called in and she walked me through every spot I needed to sign. Ya u only worked 3 to 4 hours a day because your people that you hire only show up for 3 to 4 hours a day. Also I have your supervisor on video saying that they weren't going to do work that was supposed to be covered on video and that we wouldn't notice. Yeah you replaced the dresser drawer but it wasn't a IKEA and you guys didn't even put it back together after you broke it so I don't know what you're complaining about then I had to do the work I should have charged you 3 hours worth of work at $1,500 because my time is more valuable.. And I've also forgot to mention that when they were doing construction on the house I asked him if they needed me to move my car so they can do work and they said no that would be fine and they ended up getting grout all over my car and you didn't you paid Penny on the dollars for me to get my paint job redone and I had to cover the rest. Because my paint job was accustomed paint job with a candy in it and you refuse to take care of the rest of it.. And I also got that on video.. And like I told you before you should have your supervisors keep their mouth shut you need to pay attention to your workers and your own workers talk crap about you because you do not know how to run a business you should just go back to being a worker and not an owner because your customer service really does suck read more

The first "crew" to come out was one man subcontracted to hang the drywall. As you can see in n the photos, large oblong cuts were made for plugs, the shut-off valve for the water supply for the fridge was covered, broken drywall, torn drywall and drywall kicked into place. Jennifer and Michelle came out after I took the key out of their lockbox and complained about the work. I was told I would be happy and they would get a new crew in. The second crew did all the mudding on Tuesday broken drywall, sealed my Ethernet connection in the wall destroyed my vanity light and the list goes on. Oh they also unplugged my drop in freezer and all the food spoiled. When contacted about this, I got radio silence. The next response I got was when I emailed in question to whether permits had ever been filed and asking g for them to stop work until I knew if they had permits. Jennifer responded threatening that if I went to get permits I would have to bring the entire house up to new electrical standards, and tear out the walls. That's fine there are more waves in my walls than in the Atlantic ocean anyway. If you want your home to look like a mirror funhouse go with these guys. Being told how I should feel better and being dismissed for my concerns and doing fast sloppy work is just sub par business ethics. Threatening a homeowner with even more of a financial loss because you cut corners and didn't apply for work permits is unethical. read more

I swear, between a dog and a baby, my carpets are a walking nightmare. Luckily I have Yelp to lead me to a go-to business! Now that I have a baby with a sleeping and nap schedule, I have to carefully plan when people come to work on the house and the "windows of time" are always a pain because I never know exactly when they will show up. I did some research and realized that Arizona Carpet actually does "on time" appointments which means they actually show up at a specific time and they really did! I love supporting local businesses and I love that they are not only local but also family-owned who have been in the Valley forever! When they showed up, I was pleased to see that the technician was very friendly and welcoming and someone who I would definitely trust to be in my home. You never know who is going to show up when you hire a service, but these guys hire good technicians! I even knew who to expect before they showed up because they sent me a picture of the technician and also told me that he had been background checked. I've never experienced a cleaning service who is so thorough! As soon as I need a carpet cleaning again (which will be soon because Baby D loves to spit up!) I will call Arizona Carpet. I also like that they offer rug and tile cleaning (and they give you a free spotter bottle when they leave!) read more

I tried this company for my Scottsdale house through Living Social - $59 for 3 rooms up to 300 s.f. a room, mainly because I used to have a house bunny, who didn't make her litter box. There were lotsa pee stains, which rabbit pee is concentrated like OJ concentrate in the can. I did see cheaper Groupon type deals but they charged extra for spot cleaning and this one included it all. I only wanted 2 rooms cleaned, and the areas were so small, cos it was only spots and traffic areas. Bed and other larger furniture was not moved. I wanted them to clean my hallways and area rugs, but I know some companies charge extra for halls and stairs or call the hall "another room", and they charge by the s.f. for an area rug (mine were small, 7 foot runner, and 2x3 area rug. But to all this, Nate, the technician said no problem. Not only did he not "charge me" for the hall as a "room", but he cleaned way more area than my expectations, which the 30 foot long living room, and some traffic areas of the great room, and cleaned about 250 s.f. in the ping pong table room. Someone dumped a whole lasagna onto my carpet there and the stains were there for years, I could not get them out. But Nate got it ALL out. He got almost all of the bunny pee stains out too. Those had been "solidified" on the carpet for years. Even he was surprised it came out so well. I watched Nate work. He cleaned over and over and over, the same dirt areas. Other carpet cleaner companies only would go over an dirty area a couple of strokes, even though I told them it was still dirty. Nate used a truck mounted steam cleaner. I had other companies leave behind a lot of soap and they would not "come back" as they promised if I was not satisfied. That other company blamed the soap residue on a previous cleaning, but I got in writing from previous owner (elderly couple no kids or pets), that the carpet was only 3 years old, and it had never ever been shampooed before I moved in. I got my money back from my credit card company. I rubbed my fingers into the carpet after Nate cleaned it. No soap residue at all. I am so happy with this cleaning I told Nate I think it is the best carpet cleaning I ever had in my life, including with Coit, who charged me $450 to clean whole house with no furniture. I will use this AZ Carpet and Restoration and ask for Nate, at a future cleaning. When you call the company, you get a live voice everytime. I would say 80% of my Living Social deals turned out to be not as promised or represented due to merchant's bait and switch, but Az Carpet and Restoration and Nate, greatly exceeded my expectations. Nate cleaned whatever I asked him to and way more. My house is almost 3000 s.f. and I'd say he cleaned most of the house. Of course the area to be cleaned is much less, due to walls and furniture, but what I am saying is I feel I got way more than he could have "gotten by with". I would use this company even if they are not running a special, over a company that is running a special. Specials often turn out to be heartaches. read more

Their team did a great job accessing the damage, repairing the area, and taking all necessary steps to stop any mold growth. Shortly after making an appointment I received an email with a confirmation. The email contained the name and a photo of the Carpet Professional who would be coming to our home. I found this information extremely helpful and definitely gave me peace of mind. He arrived exactly on time, was extremely friendly and got right to work. I was impressed with his knowledge of removing our particular stains from our carpet (pet stains). The whole process took about 2 hours. WOW! What a difference! I used this company for repair after a water heater leak. Nothing but issues from the beginning. I had to constantly call to get anything done. There is no communication between the technicians and the office. We had so many problems with the repairs I do not have enough room to list it all out. The work is rushed and done poorly causing multiple follow up visits. The work was so lazy they painted over a light switch which made it inoperable and in need of replacement. I ended up being so frustrated I decided to just fix the remaining issues myself. The so called project manager never looked at the work to make sure it was done properly. I would not recommend using this company to anyone. The completed work will be okay and you can get better quality elsewhere. read more

Mold is not something that you want to discover in a home. Unfortunately, at my mother in laws house, due to some water damage that had occurred a while ago from a monsoon when she was away and she got mold. Her insurance company recommended Arizona Construction and Restoration (ACR), they contacted her right away and had someone come out that day. Everyone at ACR was very professional and friendly. Having mold was really stressing her out. Once they arrived, they made her feel at ease. She is now mold free and back to better condition than before. I never knew mold was such a big health risk. My daughter referred me to Arizona Carpet and Restoration because she had a good experience with them. (She also referred me to Yelp, so here I am sharpening my review skills!) Anyways, I have my share of pet stains, so I called this company to see what they could do. They scheduled me within the week which was nice, and when the carpet cleaner arrived, he treated every stain before pulling out the "big guns". The steam cleaning method seemed effective, and didn't take long to dry, all things considered. Sure enough, he got the stains out. It did bring up some odors, but he warned me about this, and they went away soon thereafter. I'm happy with the experience, and would recommend them as the customer service was up to par. read more

This company has cleaned my carpets twice in the last 6 months. One thing you should know about me is if you don't do a good job I won't use you again. They sent a confirmation email a few days before with my appointment time and a picture of the technician. In the email was also proof that the technician had been through a background check. The technician showed up on time to clean my hallway, stairs and bedrooms. The stairs looked horrible as you could imagine with 4 boys traipsing up and down them all day. The technician worked extra hard to clean my stairs and did an excellent job. When the technician was leaving he handed be a pair of booties for my shoes. This allowed me to use the stairs, while they were still wet, without getting them dirty. Talk about going the extra mile. I have had my carpets cleaned by other carpet cleaning companies, in the past, and have not been satisfied with the result on my stairs. During monsoon season my house was exposed to a large amount of water. My carpet was ruined throughout my whole entire house. I thought it was going to cost a fortune, fortunately I found this company and gave them a call. They sent a confirmation email with my appointment time and name of the technician. I used ACR for a home owner insurance claim after my water water heater rusted out and took out my 4 year old (very expensive) Pergo floor. I used ACR as they came recommended by my insurance company USAA. If it were not for Jennifer, I would have rated this company one star lower as there were a decent amount of communication issues, but Jennifer gave it her all to make things right, and she did. I had my entire main floor plan re-tiled, which went right on time. But some days people would show up at my house unannounced ready to work. There was a major lack of communication and the problem wasn't really with ACR it was with the contractors they contracted work out to, because then those contractors would contract that work out to other companies, so it was hard to be in contact with who was doing the actual work. I think my main discrepancy was with the contractor they had to do my baseboards. I am a handy man and have worked in the trades, I understand how it works. This guy for one wanted to over charge me for base boards, which initially I stomached. But, when he contracted out the work he never gave me a time or day when it was going to happen, (which had become a trend with this guy.) So, when some random day some random guy shows up ready to work I had to turn him away, as I was busy that day. When I called the contractor back he wanted to schedule me out another two and a half weeks! I am already paying the up charge and now I am being put on hold, for work I could easily do myself. So, I decided to tell him forget it I'll do it myself. When I tried to get a hold of him he was no where to be found. Finally ACR got a hold of him for me. I told I would do the work myself, when I said I wanted a refund he said I would have to talk to ACR about that. ACR was very accommodating and apologetic. Jennifer, the MVP of ACR, even helped me out after ACR had confused my bill and quote with another client which was much high then we originally talked about, but she helped me out and honored our original price. Basically to make a long story short, I think ACR as a company is good, I just think they need to spend a little more time screening the contractors they work with. When my apartment lease was up, I wanted to get the carpets cleaned to make sure I got all of my deposit back. The carpets were not bad, but a touch up wouldn't hurt. Anyways, I found Arizona Carpet & Restoration online and decided to give them a try. Whoever took my call was very nice and helpful, but there wasn't an opening in the schedule when I needed it. I understand, because it was short notice, but it would've been nice to get it done same day. They sent someone out a few days later, and he was friendly and punctual (a big plus for me - tardiness is a pet peeve). I had some questions about a few mystery stains, and the man answered them knowledgeably and was able to get the stains out. Overall, it was a positive experience. read more
