I took my seven year old daughter here for an initial appointment, the staff were very professional and kind with her. Equipment and tools looked new and there were good sanitation practices. I'm a little concerned that the recommended treatment for my daughter was more invasive than I hoped, but I will review again at the conclusion of her care which should be in about a year. read more

I brought my son here on recommendation of his dentist. The front desk was very welcoming and the practice coordinator was kind, pleasant and helpful. Dr. DiFranco was great and he also introduced us to another dentist at the practice. They took pictures of my son's teeth and decided that although he had a slight crossbite it was best to wait a little longer because the cross bite included a baby tooth. They told me about another issue with a tooth that I didn't notice and the dentist had missed. They gave me a referral for where to go. I appreciate that Dr. DiFranco did not take our business just to make $$. Dr. DiFranco examined my son and decided it was best to wait. When the time is right, we are definitely going back to Dr. DiFranco! read more

So far, so good. The consult was good, open and honest about options. I never felt duped into a pricier option, only what was best. They offer a cool incentive program for the kids to get them to be engaged jn their oral health and committed to keeping their teeth in good shape throughout the braces. So far hours have worked out ok. They do have a rhythm for when they take new patients and when they do check ups- hopefully it works out for your schedule. read more

My son (age 17) got his Invisalign thru Dr. DiFranco. For the most part, the experience has been positive, but not without a few issues. First issue was when my son ran out of his trays about 6-7 weeks before his next scheduled appointment (all appointments are scheduled by the doctor, not the patient. The doctor knows how often each patient moves to the next set of trays, and as such, schedules the appointments accordingly). In case you didn't know, patients are told to change the trays every 7-10 days, and the trays get very smelly/stinky after being worn for that same amount of time, even if they are deep-cleaned daily (which my son did). When I called the office to see if they could make him another set of trays exactly like his current trays, since he would have to wear those same trays for 6-7 more weeks, I was told it would cost me $200 to get another set of trays made. Excuse me? The doctor messed up on the scheduling timeline and I have to pay for that mistake? Mind you, if you lose a set of trays (it happens), you get ONE set made for free. But in this case, no trays were lost (my son never lost a tray) and they tried to ding me $200. When I pointed that out, they did agree to remake him that one set of trays, at no cost to me. My son finished with all of his teeth movement trays about 5 months ago, and his teeth look very nice. But even when a patient finishes with the teeth moving portion of Invisalign, they are not done with wearing trays. They must wear a "retainer" tray on their top teeth, all day/night, for at least 6 months (maybe even longer......we are not at that point yet). This retainer tray is also a very lightweight plastic, but it's a different plastic than the trays used for actually moving the teeth. It doesn't get smelly (thank god) after a week or so of use. However, this tray must be worn all the time, and it does get worn out where it contacts the bottom teeth during normal daily wear. When I called the office and told them about the normal wear and tear on this retainer tray (the tray has holes in it and is very rough where it hits the bottom teeth), they told me it would cost me an additional $200 to get him another retainer tray. Mind you, I paid DiFranco something like $6800 for the entire Invisalign system! And for that price, the package should include all the retainers needed to complete the procedure, including the ones that get worn out! They know these retainer trays get a LOT of use, being worn for as long as they must be worn. A few of my friends kids have Invisalign thru other orthodontists, and none of them are nickel-and-dimed like DiFranco's practice does. They all get 3 retainer trays at the end of treatment, not 1 like DiFranco does. So my advice to anyone that may be looking to get Invisalign thru this particular practice is to get it written into your contract that any additional trays required due to normal wear and tear, will be included in your package! When they explain the process to you at the very beginning, you assume that they will include all necessary equipment to get the job done, but trust me, they don't. In hindsight, I wish I would have done a Groupon Invisalign with a different orthodontist, since you can get the same procedure done for half the price of what DiFranco charges. Even if the ortho isn't close to where you live, there are minimal appointments required for the entire process, and it would have been totally worth the location inconvenience to save a few thousand dollars. read more

We've been coming to Dr. DiFranco for 3 years and love his bedside manner and the way that he treats his patients. The office personnel, office manager, and finance person are also very nice and very helpful. However, the woman who schedules appointments (if you call in) is very rude. She may think she is being efficient, but she is just rude and she does not listen or let you finish a sentence. We are really happy with the service we have gotten here. They run on time for appointments and are efficient. The updates at the end of each appointment are good too. My only complaint is the last few appointments I felt less informed. My son was nearing the end of his adjustments but we weren't being told how much longer. I understand it's hard to tell but some information along those lines would have been better than the lack of information. My other son is half way through his treatment and things are looking good. I have nothing to compare DiFranco to in terms of quality of work. My son had braces and a hearst appliance implanted without much issue, however, this guy is pompous and maintains bankers hours which makes appointments extremely difficult to schedule and they will not easily work with you. Perhaps most patients are able to tap a stay at home parent or nanny, but for us regular folk - it's up to you to take time off work and take your child out of school for day appointments. My dentist referred us to this guy, but I wished he'd revealed these issues. When we shared our negative feedback with our dentist he admitted he's received a lot of complaints and now offers alternative referrals. Braces involve many visits /It's a long process, so be ready for a rough ride if scheduling flexibility is a concern. read more

I was asking him questions because they wanted my daughter to have some oral surgery first. I've been going to DiFranco for two years now and it was a mostly positive experience for this once in a lifetime event. Finding a right doctor is important and I felt like he was one of the best and his staff was very friendly and knowledgable. Each time I had an appointment, the wait was very short. The only negative was they don't have weekend hours during the summer and it's a tight squeeze when they do so for people like me who travel for work, it was a challenge to find the time. Although, in the beginning, when I got the X-Rays and the braces put on, they found time on the weekends to fit in with my schedule. Overall the orthodontic work was top-quality! read more

As an adult using Invisiline to straighten my teeth, my experience with Dr. Di Franco and the office has been easy and worth doing. All the personnel are experienced and very easy to work with. Scheduling sessions works well with my schedule. My sessions are professional and quick, with great focus on getting me in at the appointment time. We were told that Kyle would need implants due to 3 adult teeth never coming in. The cost for implants were aprox. 15,000 since insurance would not pay for them. Dr. Di Franco but braces on Kyle and was able to move his teeth and avoid implants without sacrificing cosmetic looks!! He looks wonderful!!! I can not thank R, Di Franco enough for making Kyle look wonderful and saving us the cost of implants which to be honest we were very worried about how we were going to pay for them!! So now my daughter needs braces and it is not even a question on we're we will be going!! Dr. Di Franco of coarse!! Also his office staff is amazing!!
