The pastel de nata pastry was delicious. It was the same as an egg custard tart. The apple pie however was disappointing. Nothing like the chunky spice laden apple pie filling you find in the states. One morning, I showed up right before they opened at 7:30 and there were already people lined up. The pastries here (savory and sweet) were all incredible. Some of the best we had in all of Europe. I live in the U.S. so finding delivery places in other countries can be difficult. First, from what I have been told by those who received the bakery items I had delivered, everything is very fresh and delicious. Their customer service was the best I've come across in a long time (I had a few questions and corresponded via email a few times). I have used them for two delivers so far and I give them a 10 out of 10! I will be using them often in the future for deliveries in the UK. I highly recommend The Hummingbird Bakery!

As we were walking around Borough Market we saw the line for Bread Ahead and realized it was for the donut stand they had outside along the street. We had to jump on line and drool over the display of sugary goodness. We each tried a different donut and was not disappointed!
