We attended the Women's Basketball game on Saturday and my husband left his phone in the cup-holder. There was a Men's game immediately after so we could not go back inside the venue that day. Orville was so responsive and quick to get on the lost phone! Apparently the phone made its way to the Hall of Champions where it was located on Monday. We were already on campus searching when Orville called me to say the phone had been located. We are so grateful to Orville for taking the time to help us.

Give 'em Hell, Devils!…read more If you haven't attended a sporting event at Desert Financial Arena (DFA) you're missing out. The vibes in the stadium are electric (especially if you're in the student section). Recently, I've been coming here to watch the ASU women's basketball team stack up wins during this historic season. They currently remain undefeated at home. The stadium is located on Tempe campus a short walk away from a light rail station. There is also tons of parking available nearby. Ingress and egress from the stadium are super quick. Staff is friendly. There are a few options available for concessions and merch available if you need some more ASU swag. The stadium is aging and could use some updates but overall function for the purpose it serves.

Ain't that a crotch kick? I have told many of my out-of-state friends that Arizona sports fans have a high pain tolerance. We're practically masochists because it is ROUGH being an Arizona sports fan. As a born and raised Arizonan, I bare the bruises and defeats with as much grace as I can. I pretty much learned to never be too hopeful. I keep a healthy level of enthusiasm and expectation. That said, I love me my Suns. I loved them since the Dan Majerle days. I even have a Steve Nash jersey from when he was on the team. I bleed purple and orange for my Suns.

Did not miss anything; fortunately, they were still showing "Coming Attraction." Baz Lurhmann Directed the Biopic featuring Austin Butler. The footage is as Energizing as Elvis's performances. He was The Best Showman There Ever Was." His connection with-his Audiences Night After Night were a constant stream of energy . He felt his fans and they enjoyed every note he played or Song he sung. Elvis Presley was and remains an American Icon. This movie goer did not catch a live performance or play his Records . Entirely My Loss. I watched this exciting performer take his Audience With him each time he performed , anywhere he performed. His roots were Southern Gospel Church Music blended with Southern blues Music. He sprinkled in Beatles Music, Soul music and Ballads. He was a genius who would take time to get t o press the Flesh for 15 minutes He respected each and every person who Payed to see him and delivered that they(the audience might never see anyone like him again. As soon as the film rolled I was hooked , Couldn't move , didn't dare move and Sprinted to the Men's Room. Talk about good, clean family fun!!!…read more I've been several times over the past couple of years and it's always a guarantee that a fun time will be had. There are various different races taking place during the night which keeps everyone entertained....even short races (six laps) which is easy on a child's attention span. We were there on 3/31 and even snagged some $5 off coupons at Circle K so adult admission was only $9 each. We watched super late models, trucks, hornets, hobby stocks and some others. Because the track and stands are small, you get to meet family members of the drivers which is pretty cool. We sat near and talked to the grandparents of a 10-year old boy racing these really cool miniature race cars that actually go about 70 mph!!! Several food options are available at good prices and cheap beer too!

It would have been helpful if there were traffic attendants at the light because this was what took us the longest. Make sure you arrive 1 hr early so you can get food and find your seats.

Went to see the Bruno Mars Romantic Tour concert with my cousins and it was a fantastic…read moreexperience!! We sat on the floor in the 20th row and the vibe was just great!! Took awhile to get thru once we passed the security check-in and were filtering down a few levels to get to the floor. Of course there were a ton of people and we were packed like sardines but the flow was smooth and people were patient. Once we got to our seats, we got situated and Leon Thomas was already midway as the opening act. There was a slight mixup as one chair, the "30th" seat was missing on our row and we ended up moving down one seat to our left as the group with the seating issue kept trying to figure it out. Some numbers were missing on our seats but mine was visible and we could verify where we were seated. Luckily, our seat neighbors were nice people and accommodating since there seemed to be an extra seat that was empty. When we first arrived, there were some people who sat near our seats that weren't supposed to be there but you know there's always one of those so they moved. It was fun and festive. The woman in front of us with her daughter was recording the whole time as well as the lone guy next to my cousin who was doing the same and singing to EVERY SONG, LOL!! Thankfully we never had to use the bathroom as we went during dinner right before the concert. There were Porta-Pottys on the floor level inside as your bathroom. Also, you couldn't take an actual canned drink inside. Attendants had you put them in a cup unless they weren't paying attention and you had your drink in your see-thru backpack like the guy in front of me walking in. Speaking of, you need to look at bag dimensions and restrictions prior to going to the events. I looked ahead of time and brought a clear, plastic purse within the allowed guidelines/dimensions. Acoustics were great, there was never a glitch, 2 large screens on the left and right of the stage were great for folks seated far away and were a great visual for close ups even for us. Security was effective and checkpoints at the entrances went smoothly. It was a bit crazy getting out of the stadium but we got out. Getting out of the parking lot was another story. It was a long, log-jam and some vehicles were impatient and nearly hitting other vehicles just to get in the line to get out! I think the parking guides and traffic monitors could've done better in an orderly and streamlined fashion. In any case, we had fun and luckily people inside were nice and courteous. This was my 2nd concert at this stadium and am well-pleased with the ambiance. It was just the parking lot situation that needs to be more efficient. Hopefully they worked it out the next evening since Bruno played 2 nights here.

I love…read moreattending the gem show at this location, but most recently I attend their pickle ball courts regularly. They are free, clean, and well maintained! I love that they have someone that mans the courts nightly, provide cold filtered water to refill on, and I also feel that the system in place when courts get full is orderly & convenient (they will announce that at a certain time they will clear the courts to refill them with who's in line. They'll usually give ample time to finish current games)! This place is also a gem for being right off the freeway! Definitely worth a visit.
