When I objected to the $250 fee and was walking away to take my business elsewhere, the drive instructor tried to goad me into a fight, saying "don't walk away, turn around," and "come at me, bro." They don't get it. Their lack of professionalism is why I am going to another place for my driver hours and none of my younger children or friends will be going here. Even if the guy wasn't 6'2" and 250 lb, I wouldn't fight him. These people are the epitome of unprofessional bullies.

Our son's first year teachers were amazing. But then thing started going down hill. It all happened starting a year ago (January 9, 2025 to be exact) our son's teacher was dealing with personal life problems so she was not able to be there for a week, and that meant other teachers were coming in the class to take over while she was gone. One in which was there most often. My son was scared to go to school because he told me how this teacher was being mean to the kids (grabbing them by the collar of there shirt aggressively and rag dolling them around) I asked him to point her out to me who she was and he did even referring to her as "mean teacher". I went to the director (Monica) and assistant director (Amber at the time) addressing my concerns. And even after talking to other parents and the main teacher in the class multiple kids were scared as well. Even after coming to them that teacher was still there! However, they told me they would move him up if this continued. His main teacher came back and nothing happened, so we didn't have to worry about it anymore. We always felt accommodated when going up to the director as she had moved us up early when we came to her with a concern. Keep in mind all she ever did was move us up. Im not sure if any of these concerns were actually even taken care of addressed to the teacher. A year passed and he was put into Preschool 1 that "mean teacher" was back and this other teacher was in the class with her (they seemed to be best friends). My son again started coming to me really sad and scared that his teachers were being mean to him again. He even showed me red finger print marks on his arm just above his elbow. He went on to tell me that teacher was grabbing them and rag dolling them again. I asked him why? And he said "because I wasn't listening". Although I do understand how hard it is to get kids under control. NO ONE NOT EVEN MYSELF will ever leave marks on MY son's arm. I asked him again to show me who it was and he pointed at the other teacher! But this time he hid behind me before even pointing at her so I knew he was scared. So not only did one of them do this prior now the other one was doing it too. We reported our incident to Monica (the director) in which was handled very unprofessional. She literally LAUGHED at our concern and told us that "that was her most structured class". Also adding that we never had the conversation to her about our concerns before (the one on January 9, 2025) We did not feel comfortable taking our kids to this school anymore. And I personally had to drop out of my college classes and quit my job so I could stay home with my sons as this no longer felt like a safe school to keep them in. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

I am a former student from this school. My experience at Amy bhiel was not good, even after I left…read morethe school. They are not a college prep school, but they skip many credits required to graduate that other schools require. Additionally, when I moved schools, a lot of the classes that I took at Amy Bhiel didn't count as credits and I had to do a lot more work during my senior year of high school. I also missed out on a lot of high school experiences because they do not have sports, they have extremely limited clubs, and not a lot of non-academic extra-curriculars. The school size was too small, and there were only a small handful of students throughout each class that I had. They did not prepare me or teach me things I needed to know, and I found myself falling behind the academic level most students at other schools were at. There are little to no AP classes and the area the school is located is sketchy and unsafe, especially for teenagers. I would not recommend this school to anybody, and if you do attend Amy Bhiel, I recommend staying for all 4 years of high school because of how badly their classes will screw you over when switching.

I was unaware i wasnt supposed to come back with my friends because i wasnt enrolled (even though i wasnt hiding and everyone knew me) i tried getting a visitor pass but couldnt due to not having my id. i only went because i had no ride home and one of my friends was my ride. i went to my friends first period and the teacher knew me and was fine with me there. I was not disruptive or disrespectful in any way. then I got pulled into Hallies office and got told i was trespassing and i tried explaining my situation and i wanted to see if i could get a visitor pass, i was very respectful and she was VERY rude and disrespectful to me, She kicked me out and told me to walk to the public library i had told her i wasnt good with streets because im not familiar with the area and she replied with "Well maybe you should learn". VERY DISRESPECTFUL. Mind you im a MINOR, ALONE, on the streets of central. i walked across the street to look up directions and i got catcalled IMMEDIATELY. THANKFULLY, a security guard from SIMS came up to me and took me into his building. but even he said it was dangerous to be walking alone and he told me not to walk to the library because it would be unsafe. if i did decide to walk to the library im 100% sure something would have happened. They DID NOT care for my saftey AT ALL, reguardless if im a student or not they could have handled it in a better way and atleast made me wait in the office. They put me in danger when i was unaware and i don't tolerate that. besides the administrators the teachers are wonderful, if you want good teachers id recommend this school but for saftey for your child i would NOT recommend this school trust worthy. if its THAT easy to walk in the doors who knows who can just come in.

I took French when I was in college a few years back, so when I decided to sign up for French classes here, they told me about the "False Beginners" course. This is an intensive 1 week program to refresh all your basics of French, so it's perfect for those who have taken French before and don't want to start from Beginners I. They offer opportunities to practice your French outside the classroom as well, they meet up in coffee shops roughly once a month to practice your French language skills. I have taken two courses in this institution, and in general the professors are great, ones more dynamic and creative than others. The one thing I don't love about their teaching system is that the textbook they use for the courses is a 2001 edition, almost 20 years old! I know the basics of the language is the same, but the examples, vocabulary and illustrations could use an update!

They offer all levels of French, from beginner to advanced at very convenient times and often more than one class a week. The classes are small groups. So far for me they have not been larger than six people, but they can have up to ten students per class. My two French teachers have had very different teaching styles, but both have been very fun, motivating and successful. Every time French class is over, I feel that I don't want to stop. She is always busy, and the staff are fully engaged with the kids. The current Site Director at Comanche ES, Josh R., is amazing and just seems to "get" kids. But maybe even more impressive was the reaction of the central office several years ago when I was disappointed with the past Site Director. They immediately engaged with her to provide direction and assistance. Did it make everything perfect? No, but it was improved and they really tried to help without making me feel bad.
