Elias was extremely professional and personable. He uses several efficient techniques that clearly benefit both him and his clients. Paul Mitchell continues to impress me with the quality of their barbers.

At least 4-6 inches, not 2.

I actually love coming here. I needed a quick haircut for a last-minute audition, so I thought I'd come in for a trim and cut 2 inches off my hair. In the past, I've had amazing Phase 2 hairdressers. This time I accepted a Phase 1 appointment, and do I regret it. Again, I'd like to point out that I understand she's learning--that's the point of this establishment--but she clearly cut more than 2 inches! I'm devastated because I specifically emphasized that I only wanted 2 inches off, and now I'm looking at what appears to be 4- 6 inches gone. Plus, I asked for layers and curtain bangs. We ran out of time for layers, not that I think I would have trusted her with that anyway after seeing how the initial cut went. But she didn't know how to cut curtain bangs or blow-dry them properly. I had to request at the end for her to blow dry my curtain bangs out instead of in. This review is purely to inform others: proceed with extreme caution when getting a Phase 1 hairdresser, or be very stern about how many inches you want cut from your hair. Better yet, ask to see their supervisor before they start cutting. I feel dramatic for being sad about this, but I honestly can't help it. I work incredibly hard at keeping my hair healthy and long--it takes months, sometimes years, to grow hair to the length I had. Now I'm sitting here fighting back tears because I have an important audition tomorrow and my hair looks nothing like what I wanted. I feel so frustrated and disappointed, especially since I trusted this place with my hair before and had such positive experiences. This setback feels like it's going to affect my confidence going into tomorrow's audition, which makes it even worse.

I messaged the Paul Mitchell School on Yelp and said that I was looking to get a cut and color done. The person who I was messaging with on here scheduled my time and quoted me a price for the color and the cut. When I got there and checked in, the person at the front desk said "you're here for color" and I responded "and a cut" and she said "a cut if there's time." Huh? I restated that I was there for cut and color and she said they can never guarantee a cut and that they tell everyone that when they make the appointment. I know they didn't tell me that when I made the appointment. I've attached the screenshots. But here's the thing - I don't care if that's your policy (can't guarantee a cut) - what I care is that I wasn't informed and I wasted my time driving out there for a service I didn't want, instead of finding a place that COULD do what I needed. And the worst part was, the person at the front desk was adamant that I was the one who was wrong, and kept saying she could "check " for me and prove that they indeed told me about this policy. Again, my one star review isn't about their policy. It's about the fact that I was gaslit about it. And then, instead of leaving a Yelp review, I messaged them on Yelp when I got home, to sort it out privately and just explain what went wrong. They read it and never responded. So now I'm leaving a review.

    Chill'n.. top bill'n

How long typically would a phase 1 or a phase 2 basic women's trim take? (I realize we have to be patients with students, and just wondering so I can plan)

They take a standard amount of time. If you get a newer student they are a bit slower and over seen by their instructor otherwise you can expect y he usual amount in the salon.

How much for a wash, cut and style? Medium length hair.

$16 includes wash, cut and style. Please note that these are students cutting your hair so you need to be patient.

Are vivid colors such as red, blue, purple, etc. available for color appointments?

Hello, appointments can be made by calling our guest service team at (626) 284-2863!

I did finish with 70 credits with a 3.0 GPA although, when it comes to counseling and class advisory, they're not much help unfortunately. Basically for the most part, you do have to figure it out on your own. I generally did have a good experience and education at PCC. Especially with understanding with how music works when it comes to theory. Some of the learning is hands on and off. When it comes to college social life, if I'm being honest, it was great to make the connections I did...although, I should've mainly focused on trying to further my education rather than distracting myself. Knowing that so many students use social media and would follow their accounts, it would be a great way to keep students updated about financial aid and deadlines. Despite its…read morepublic messaging around Christian values, integrity, and community, what we experienced behind the scenes was harassment, emotional harm, favoritism, retaliation, and a complete lack of accountability. Early on, we had a disturbing interaction with a staff member who told us that if they had known our family was applying, they would have "made sure we didn't get in," allegedly based on third-party gossip from someone we had never met or heard of. This was alarming and unprofessional, particularly given that this person had access to our personal information and approached us as if they already knew us. It became clear that negative opinions about our family were being shared internally. Between 2022 and 2025, after we raised concerns about what appeared to be unethical practices within the athletics program -- including favoritism toward students connected to donors or board-affiliated families -- we experienced what felt like retaliation. Shortly afterward, both of our children were quarantined for over three weeks despite repeatedly testing negative for COVID and showing no symptoms. We were told it was "protocol," yet it was not enforced consistently for others. At a time when restrictions were easing everywhere else, it felt targeted toward our family. When we asked for clarity and support, administration collected extensive information from us but ultimately refused to take any corrective action. Instead, we were called into an urgent meeting and told our children might be removed. We were instructed to write a letter over a weekend and told leadership would "consider" allowing them to stay. This felt coercive rather than collaborative. Eventually, one child was allowed to remain while the other was removed -- without explanation, due process, or any cited violation. During this process, a conversation between us and senior leadership was secretly recorded by an administrator who is closely related to school leadership. This occurred without our consent, which is illegal under California's two-party consent law. Rather than addressing this serious issue, the school ignored it entirely. We later learned from multiple sources that external influence may have played a role in decisions affecting our child, including pressure from families connected to leadership whose relatives directly competed with our child athletically. Despite being a strong student-athlete, our child was pushed out. During attempts to transfer schools, negative statements about our family were shared. Athletic staff did not assist with recruitment, and we learned that outreach to other schools appeared focused on protecting institutional relationships rather than helping our child. A college recruiter confirmed a campus visit with us that staff later denied ever occurred, despite us witnessing it firsthand. We have documentation, emails, and written correspondence confirming unfair treatment. One administrator privately described our situation as "awful" and escalated it to HR. Despite this, no accountability followed. Instead, staff involved in these events have continued to receive public recognition and awards, reinforcing a culture where those in power are protected rather than corrected. Despite being told directly that our children had done nothing wrong, we waited seven months for formal communication. When it finally came, the reasoning kept changing. Our child's transcripts were withheld from universities that requested them, confirmed in writing by those institutions. After we spoke out, our child was also removed from the school's alumni list, despite having graduated and despite the thousands of dollars paid for his education. This felt like continued punishment for sharing our experience. After posting this review, we received no outreach, apology, or attempt at reconciliation -- only efforts to have our reviews reported and suppressed. Rather than addressing harm, the school appears focused on protecting its image and silencing families who speak up. Say anything to the leadership and there big egos-- they will gang up against you, brother in-laws, father, board member, baseball coach, football coach, staff members and they will each other public awards to faculty members, students and families that have taken part in this harm-- a cult like mafia. Not a true Christian lead School by the spirit and ALL of the bible, just the parts they pick out. They also have solicited these recent reviews, also staff member finance officer in June 2025 sent out a defamatory emails including our financial contracts to a stranger, making the financials look as though we hadn't paid and we owed money when we were paid in full. She offered to go line by line with a stranger when she had no firsthand information about our family at all. Just sick unethical behavior from our experience.

Let me preface by saying my skin is already pretty good; concerns are light acne scarring and large pores. My skin is clear and smooth for the most part thanks to my acne meds and receiving facials from an esthetician years prior to combat my acne. I saw the ad on Facebook for the first facial laser treatment to be 50$ and figured why not! Seems like a good deal. I was required to fill out medical information prior to my appointment which is standard, I've gotten a laser facial before (4 years ago now at a different place) and they want to make sure whatever you are on medication wise doesn't interact with the treatments. I received text reminders about my appointment and the day of I received a text with instructions on where to park and where they were located. I am familiar with Downtown Pasadena and know it can be a little busy so I made sure to get here early! The place itself is a small office so I can see why being on time is important. The interior was welcoming, the front staff was friendly, the decor is lively with semi private seating areas to have your consultation. I met with Dailee for my consultation and she was really sweet, informative and easy to talk to. She went over the treatments they offer along with membership promotions, it did not feel pushy at all. Bilal was my nurse. He was also informative and efficient in going over what the treatment would do, how it would feel, and how to care for my skin afterwards. Both Dailee and Bilal were upfront on treatments needing to be consistent to see a major difference. The laser treatment itself was very quick and painless. I have tough skin and it just felt like a hot compress was being wiped over my face. Afterwards Bilal rubbed in serum and SPF so I was good to go! For the next 24 hours gentle cleanser, gentle moisturizer and minimal sun contact. I am not able to commit to the memberships or consistency needed so I did not sign up. I also have skincare I already like using so I did not purchase any products. I do appreciated the information on products, treatments, and promotions they offer though, nothing felt pushy. I will absolutely be back to do a more intense treatment for my face and neck.
