Dr. Plascyk has a comprehensive holistic approach to dental care. He provides his patients the information and knowledge to make the decisions that are best for them. He doesn't tell patients what to do, he shares his knowledge, education and experience with you and provides you all available options to empower you to chose the best solutions for your dental care. Dr. Plascyk puts his patients first and is not motivated by personal financial gain. When I first arrived in NC I visited another dentist as I was experiencing tooth pain. That dentist met with me for a few minutes and left the examination without a word. When I asked his office management what the prognosis was she replied "you need two root canals and two crowns for $7000". When I asked what my options were she replied "you don't have options". Needless to say I left that appointment feeling confused and frustrated. I found Dr. Plascyk's add in a local publication and made an appointment. Dr. Plascyk performed a thorough exam and sat with me for over an hour to explain my dental plan and informed me I could do any of it, some of it or none and that he would support my decisions. Five years later I have not needed the 2 root canals and crowns as prescribed by the other dentist. One tooth did need work however Dr. Plascyk explained that the tooth was too far gone and investing a lot of money to do a root canal and crown was not advised as I would most likely lose the tooth in the end. I was impressed with his integrity and caring. I trust Dr. Plascyk as he truly cares for his patients. His office runs like a well oiled machine. I never experience physical pain in their care. His dental hygienist Ann is wonderful and takes great care when cleaning my teeth and has been helping me to address gum disease to improve my health and well being. Another notable item that I must illuminate is that the business manager Kathy works with the patients to facilitate a payment plan that the patient can accommodate easily without undue stress or pressure. I truly love the care that Dr. Plascyk and his staff provide and I strongly endorse his practice. I'm a fairly new patient at Dr. Plascyk's office. I need to have a lot of work done and wanted a second opinion. I'm glad that I got one because the first holistic, biologic dentist I went to was very expensive and would not even TRY to submit procedures to my insurance. Dr. Plascyk's staff will try to work with insurance and the pricing was competitive. You can have an honest discussion with him, but the choice for which procedures you ultimately have done is up to you. Not so at every practice. Dr. Plascyk discussed all the options with me, followed up with an email detailing the options with pricing ahead of time. I'm in the process of having mercy fillings removed among other things. I was impressed with the protective measures taken fir my health and safety as well as the office staff. The office staff is also very congenial and helpful. Best dentist I ever been too. Dr Plascyk makes you so comfortable and never wants you to have any pain. He fully explains what the plan is and what he's doing. Therefore you become at ease. Last visit I fell asleep. Kathy the billing person explained all the insurance and sent a predetermination to insurance company so I knew exactly what was covered and if I would have any out of pocket expenses. She then worked with me on payments for any balance. I had previous been large dental group and expected great service because of the size and didn't. I have gone to Dr. Plascyk at least twice a year for the past decade and he is without a doubt one of the best dentists that I have ever been to. Dr. Plascyk has decades of experience and his practice emphasizes quality patient care over everything else. He will provide you with a deep analysis of your case and your potential options. My case was rather complicated, however we agreed on a treatment plan that I could fit into my budget. Also, back in 2016 I was in extreme pain and he and his staff squeezed me in on short notice. I had broken a tooth and needed immediate care to help save it. I scheduled a last minute appointment and Dr. Plascyk was able to get me in pretty quickly. A root canal alternative was important to me, but ultimately I did choose the root canal route because of his healthy alternatives, versus was you would get at a traditional, non-holistic dentist. I recently took my child in for a small cavity. This was his first cavity ever, so he was understandably nervous. While I was answering my son's question about receiving a shot, the doctor turns and tells me to be quiet. This is not acceptable from anyone, especially a "professional ". As I paid for the appointment I noticed that he charged $275 for the filling and another $125 for an examination/xrays. Disappointing experience all the way around. read more
