I had several machines that needed attention. Having had a very bad experience with Liberty lawnmower repair I opted to give Mullinix a try. When I called for service Tim's wife answered the phone. She's extremely sweet extremely personable and extremely knowledgeable about the work that he does. She told me it would be several weeks before he could come out and asked if that was OK with me and I assured her that it was. She told me she would call a week before to let me know when he was coming. She did exactly that. Tim arrived within 10 minutes of the time he said he would be there. He serviced our lawn tractor, our push mower, my tiller as well as our Weedwhacker. The work was done impeccably. He made no masses. The price charged was extremely reasonable and nothing had to leave my house. I can't say enough good things about this gentleman and his delightful wife. I absolutely intend to schedule ahead of time next year and every year after that for routine scheduled maintenance to be done at my own home.

You to the place that goes ABOVE & BEYOND what any customer should/would expect to provide A++++ customer service. Remember the days when all locally owned businesses had that "small town/everybody knows your name" type of service and relationship with their customers? It's MORE than that at Battery One. I needed to get replacement batteries for my motorized scooter before I flew out of the country early the next day. The batteries I need aren't normally in stock at battery places so I was relieved to find they had them, but would be closing in an hour. GPS said it was a 45 min drive, so I jumped in the car but it was rush hour so traffic was bad. When I called from the road, they assured me they'd stay open until I got there. I finally arrived right at closing time and bought the batteries. Because I had never put in batteries before, they kindly offered to do it for me even though they were now closed. He got some tools, took out all the screws in the battery case but it wouldn't open. We both looked to see if there was a screw he missed, a secret clasp or some trick that he/we missed but no luck!!! The only thing he thought might work was to drill out the screw holes in front so it would release, however, he didn't have a drill in the store. He said the Home Depot, which was about 10 mins away, would probably do it for me for free and that he'd even wait for me to go there and back since I was in such a bind. I almost wept! By the time I got to Home Depot, got help and came back, another 30 mins had passed. As he patiently changed out the old batteries, we chatted casually and I found out he wasn't the owner but he knew that the owner wouldn't mind him keeping the store open to help. He also said he was supposed to be playing at a softball game right then but he didn't mind being late. Wow. I felt terrible. But SO impressed by his kindness. After he put the batteries in and made sure the cover was back on the best he could, he even waited for me to take a quick ride around on my scooter to make sure everything was working before he helped me load the scooter back into my car. It was an hour and 15 mins after closing, but he gave me a warm friendly smile and wished me a safe drive home. OMG! You'll never get this level of care and service from a box store or Walmart. Like I said, batteries are batteries. But this kind of service is unheard of! Thank you Battery One. THANK YOU!

It's been too long since I made the hour long drive to Menchey's in Hanover. I would spend HOURS going through every row of sheet music books. I found many unique treasures that you would not come across at other stores. Sadly, I discovered that they moved (about 4 years ago, I was told) to a small shopping center next door. I was disappointed that their selection has dwindled to not much more than the ubiquitous Music and Arts stores. Most of their selection is unsurprising. "Easy" editions also take up much of the space, so in the event that you find something interesting, it may be too easy. Gone are the grand pianos. Gone is the room filled with orchestra and band music. Don't get me wrong, it's fine for what it is. It's an OK music store that can probably meet the needs of most young students. More seasoned players may not find much of interest. I suppose that interest in sheet music has been in decline and/or it's easier to carry a larger selection on line. The staff was pleasant. The store was neat.

It is still sitting here unused, which is typical for some kids to experiment before they find the right instrument. Menchey's offered to buy it back at their MAXIMUM price of - get ready- 75 bucks!!! Mint condition. They would have gone onto resell or rent this instrument for about $500 to someone else!!! We will sell it to someone else, thank you. Greedy, overpriced, and uncaring!!! Well established, entrenched in every school system- they may look good on the outside- but at this point, this "Family Owned" business seems dysfunctional. If we could rewind the clock, we'd never patronize this corporation.

They randomly showed up a week later with no heads up or scheduling and installed a riser on my septic system clean out. I almost told them no, but decided I needed it done and to just accept service. Here we are a little over a week later, and all the ground around it is caving in, and I'm still being called by the wrong name.
