We really enjoyed this show. The stunts and competitions kept us engaged, and the performers showed humor and grace. Don't go into this expecting Paula Deen's food. The buffet is regular fare, decent, but not what you're there for--it's all about the show. The food is served beforehand so you want to arrive early to grab your food and eat in an open pavilion. (The menu for the current buffet is on their website if you want to know beforehand what is served.) You'll make your way to the show when the gate opens. You can watch some axe throwing or check out the gift shop while you wait. We were here in February and it was fairly cold, so we went to the gift shop to stay warm. Please note that everything Is open to the elements, so I would recommend going when the weather is mild. They do have heaters, but it was still cold. Some people brought blankets, which was a great idea. Back to the show...it's like a lot of the shows here, which includes audience engagement. This one is based on a feud between 2 families, all in fun. There is stomping and calling, and sitting on the edge of your seat at times with the log cutting stunts and close races. The competitions are fun to watch and there is enough repartee and stories to add a little interest, but still keep it family friendly. There are small prizes handed out to the smaller participants in the audience at the end of each competition round. We enjoyed the show enough that we will likely return in future. read more

The bbq was full of grease and fat. The corn had an off flavor. The green beans were bland. I mean no seasonings at all. NONE!!! The Mac n cheese came out of a box mix. The cole slaw looked so nasty I didn't even try it. The bbq sauce is some sickeningly sweet cheap crap. I couldn't force down more that's couple of bites of the greasy, fatty bbq. I mean damn, at least pick out the big chunks of fat and gristle. I almost puked it up on the table. The frozen Sister Schubert knockoff rolls were even nasty. How do you screw up frozen rolls? And to top it all of it was ice damn cold. Y'all gonna give someone food poisoning serving that cold garbage. Paul Dean you should be ashamed to have your name attached to this food. But I guess people will do anything for money. The show was decently entertaining. But not enough to justify the garbage food Paula Dean is serving. We paid $130 for two people to see a $30 show. That's $15 each for $30 total. The show wasn't worth $30 each. It was kinda cheesy. But still entertaining. The blatant hocking of wares by the host and the lumberjacks was a little embarrassing. Pay the entertainers enough to make a living without having to push their self written books and cheap wooden carved souvenir crap. The food adds no value whatsoever ever. NONE. Food- 0 STARS! Honestly, it's terrible- truly the WORST. There is NO REASON for it to be THAT bad. The pork was awful, corn and green beans canned grossness- without any seasoning. Rolls that were cold, the Mac n cheese was actually edible. HOW can Paula Deen's name be attached to it? She should be mortified! My husband is a NY'er and could make the food 100% improved- why is her namesakes food soooo horrific? WORD TO THE WISE- GO OUT TO EAT FIRST!! If you eat there- have ABSOLUTELY NO EXPECTATIONS. ALSO NOTE- you are eating at a pavilion on picnic tables. Don't let your kids feed the birds because they will torture everyone. It's hot- there are no fans under the pavilion. Make some real green beans or corn, add doctored up Bush's baked beans, Amish Cole slaw and simple corn bread. Make a fruit cobbler- you can throw it together. Keep the blondie. If you refuse to improve the food- just get rid of dinner altogether- you need to understand it's horrible. The show- 4.5 stars. Loads of fun, our whole family loved it, from oldest to youngest. However, the show does not make the food better, so be ready for a letdown before. Also don't bother purchasing the popcorn during the intermission- it's inedible. Overall- 2.5 stars (and that's a stretch). I wouldn't waste my money again even though the show is great. Until management listens to the customers complaints about the horrible food- don't bother. Joined this event as part of a bus tour I was on and what a unique event! When one thinks of this area of the smoky mountains how can we forget it started as lumber community. This was greatly communicated by the cast of the event and was very informative. They competed as families and incorporated the audience to become part of each family to root on the results. I did enjoy myself and yet the seating was rather uncomfortable, and yet the show could be shorter in time with last filler and more competition, and even more comedy perhaps. these are real athletes by the way and you will be amazed. Still recommended but some tweaking needs to be done to make this show more a success!!! read more

The Good---The show is great! We really enjoyed the entertainment & entertainers. Daisy was a true gem! Very personable and really seemed to enjoy herself. Everyone was great, but she was a standout for us. The stadium seating is cushioned which is very nice. We snagged center stage seating with great views. Get in line early to get the best seating options. The Bad--the 'food' was disgusting. Not one thing was warm. The 'chicken & dumplings' were the worst I have ever seen. Looked like slop. The 'pork' was more like mystery meat and was so dry I couldn't swallow the small taste I braved. The beans were flavorless blobs. The biscuits were hard, dry and cold. I will say that hubby said the macaroni and cheese was edible, but I didn't try it. I threw all the food in the garbage. The soda was the only thing I actually consumed. I really am shocked that Paula Deen would want to be associated with such slop. They should just eliminate the food and stick with the great show, it can stand on its own & would get much better ratings. I was in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg for a bachelorette party in August, and this was one of the activities of the week. It was such a blast! Good family fun, very interactive, but a bit loud! Be prepared and bring earplugs. The tickets came with a meal which was really cool. The seating is only bleacher/bench seating which isn't super great. It was really cool seeing the teams do real Lumberjack activities! Never thought I'd find myself at a place like this, but I will 100% go back if I have the chance! read more

It is served buffet style on flimsy paper plates. The pulled pork look looked as though it was purchased and chopped. The flavor was ok but, not appealing to look at. The rolls were flat and reheated. The corn was shoe peg corn from a can. The baked beans were tasty but no real flavor. The coleslaw was literally cabbage w/ vinegar and bell peppers in it. OH, they also had some white "cheddar" mac and cheese that was very odd flavored. Then there was a dry strawberry shortcake. If my name were attached to something like this, I'd most definitely want to food to be done better. This was a "One and done" type show. I would not pay to go back and see it again. I got a call the day before our reserved show saying that show had been cancelled we had to reschedule to one of the later shows. we already had plans but was told no refunds. Some type of frozen dinner roll and Mac & Cheese. Just terrible! You get to enjoy your meal on picnic tables with cheap plastic forks in 90 degree weather with pigeons flying all around you doing what birds do. Not a server in site! You get your own everything and bus your own table. Which is fine, but I expect more when putting out over two bills for a meal. The show was cute but not worth the price. Keep in mind it's mass produced and was served outside so it didn't have much choice but it definitely shouldn't be the draw. Would not order the tickets that included the meal again. Lumberjack Feud is awesome! It consists of a show and the adventure park. There were two teams that competed against each other doing all kinds of lumberjack activities. The standing block chop, log roll, speed climbing, and crosscut saws were among the games. The crowd was engaged with rooting for our teams and it was all in fun at the end of the day. The people who stands up and cheers the loudest on their team wins a very own stamped and signed log piece from the team. It was very impressive to see how they put their skills to work. The teams and the announcer engaged the crowd throughout the entire show. The obstacle course was fun for the kids. They attempted log challenges mid air and my son went on the flying ox. It was a zipline coaster that went around the park. I recommend coming here and spending a couple hours there. It's fun for all ages. read more

The lumber jack show was great I would say it is best suited for younger kids because the way the show is formatted. Teens might get un engaged as the show is more suited for younger kids and older adults. The food was normal buffet food and was nothing crazy and if you want popcorn or something along those lines during the show the popcorn is 8 dollars which is on the pricey end but it is to be expected at a activity like this I would recommend this to group with kids 12 and under but some kids that are older may like it if they are into theatrics. The chainsaws were very loud so if you or the people in your party are sensitive to sound I would suggest ear protection. read more

It's a little cheesy, but that is expected for a family show in a tourist trap town like Pigeon Forge. I don't say that as a negative thing. I came here for this type of experience. I visited in mid-January. The cashier was nice. They offered free blankets in the lobby that we could use and return. The bleachers were heated, definitely hotter the higher you sat. The feuding family storyline was kinda tacky/lame/cheesy though I fully understand why it is done. The actors played their roles very well and got the crowd participation they were seeking. I would have rather just seen the guys and gals doing their thing. That being said all the kids at the show were all in with the storyline family feud competition. I was shocked the guys fell in the water considering how cold it was. This is a unique event, reasonably priced and worth it. Having experienced it once, I wouldn't do it a second time but I recommended checking this out while in town! read more

Perhaps we just hit on a really good night, but I truly don't understand all the complaints about the food. Pulled pork was excellent, as were the sides. Dessert was a yummy apple cobbler. Paula Deen's Lumberjack Fued consists of two parts: the stage show and the adventure park. The stage show is like what you'd see on ESPN. Super skilled lumberjacks/athletes competing in 13 different including standing block chop, where the lumberjack stands on top of a log laid on its side and chops towards their own feet; springboard chop, where they jam a board into a cut, climb on top, and then chop the top of the tree off; hot saw competition (which was incredibly loud): speed climbing; log rolling, where two competitors try to roll each other off a floating log; boom run, where competitors run across floating logs; axe throwing; cutting through logs with chainsaws and crosscut saws; and probably a few other events I've forgotten about. After each event, members of the crowd scream and cheer to receive lumberjack cookies, which are cuts from the logs signed by the lumberjacks and jills. The show was so fun and impressive. These men and women are true athletes. The show is cheesy and the two families pretend they have a rivaly, but impressive nonetheless. The adventure park was fun, but much less impressive and not worth the price. The adventure park has 5 attractions: the flying ox, a "first of its kind" zip-coaster, which is a mix of zipline and roller coaster; a two-level ropes course; an 80-foot "free fall" jump (don't worry, you're strapped in); log roll; boom run; and speed climbing. Husband and I showed up Monday around 1pm and the place was empty except for the two of us and the employees. First we signed a waiver and then got fitted for our safety harnesses. We went straight to the flying ox. I was very nervous but it ended up bring pretty fun. We went around a second time and it was so windy I got stuck in the track and an employee had to come out after me and push me to get me going again. After that we did the speed climb, then the free-fall, and then the boom run and log roll. You're strapped in for every event so you can't really fall. They have you switch to water socks for the log roll and boom run, so the only thing that really gets wet is your feet. I was pretty nervous at the top of the speed climb, you lean back to lower yourself back down. The free fall is similar: you stand at the edge of the platform and lean back. I had a good time, yelped in fear a few times, and skinned my ankle during the log roll. I would give the show 5 stars and the adventure park 3 stars. read more

My family and I have been here twice now and had a great time both times. We really enjoy the competition between the lumber jacks and jills and how engaging it is. It is a better show with audience participation and we have been a part of good audiences both times. It is now a dinner show and while I thought my BBQ sandwich was fine, some others in my party weren't impressed. The baked beans tasted like regular baked beans and the coleslaw didn't have a cream based dressing, wasn't that good to me. The 5 stars is for the entertainment. We were on the "Dawson" family side and Mike and Charlie were there the last time we visited. We were glad to see them again. read more

The zip line and the obstacle course looks fun for kids. They Even have tree trunks for you to climb with harnesses on. The obstacle course is needed to protect the kids from falling, they still are harnessed to the course. It's more of a daredevil kid friendly spot. read more
