This place is always fun for the family. And also plays for Dad in the kids to escape to if you're going to Tanger Outlet at Five Oaks with someone who loves to shop. it's a Whimsical Putt-Putt that's also handicap accessible. The course is never hard it's about a par 2 par 3 but always interesting.

Mid way..in case you get thirsty

After a nice day shopping the arcade was an enjoyable way to end the day. The arcade is open air and not like the ones I grew up with. This is a modern one that while expensive to play games you aren't fleeced on the ticket games. After just playing and enjoying the family time we had accumulated 650 tickets. Enough to get a super nice prize for the little one. He was able to get a stuffed shark almost as big as he is. He was also able to get a couple of small prizes along with some candy for the ride home. I hated leaving and can't wait to have some more family time there. I think we will try the mini golf next time.

Our kids loved the sea and mermaid theme. There's also an outdoor course that is pirate themed. There are several fun photo ops along the course. The space was colorful, clean and well maintained. I had to give up actually playing putt putt since I was keeping up with the kiddos, but the rest of my family really enjoyed the course. I loved that they had a very accessible restroom for those with kids. One of the stalls in the women's restroom had a changing table and a kid's potty seat! (Hopefully the same is available on the men's side.) My only recommendation for them would be to offer a step ladder for kids to reach the sinks and paper towels as an option for hand drying. Plenty of free parking, too!

The decorations are bland as the inside 18 holes is basically just a warehouse with painted fish hanging from the ceiling. The outside/upstairs 18 holes is slightly better with decorations, but the sound effects are on a 30 second loop. Hearing the same recording over and over again while playing gets old fast. Not on par with something like a Pirates Cove mini golf. In my opinion, there are better ones in the area.

There are two different courses, and we started by playing the first one during the day. We had such a great time that instead of considering Hillbilly Golf checked off our Gatlinburg list, we decided we needed to come back and play the second course at night! I'm so glad we did. Playing during the day gave us a chance to really take in all the quirky Appalachian details and mountain setting, while returning after dark gave the experience a completely different atmosphere. It almost felt like getting two attractions in one. The courses are fun without taking themselves too seriously, and there are plenty of wonderfully unusual details along the way. It's the kind of attraction that reminds me why I enjoy traveling--sometimes the places that make you laugh and say, "We have to do that again!" become some of the best memories of the trip. If you're visiting Gatlinburg, put Hillbilly Golf on your list. And if you have the time, play both courses--one during the day and one at night!

If you need anything on the course, you just call them (number is posted left and right) and they'll come right to you! Thanks for a great afternoon!!

Turns out, those photos must've been taken at night--during the day, it's a much more straightforward ride. I went midday during the week after fall break, so the line was short and I got on quickly. The sleds are state-of-the-art with solid safety features, and the staff were friendly. The ride pulls you uphill, then lets you coast down at your own pace through a few twists and turns. At one point, I nearly came to a stop--probably to maintain spacing between sleds, though I didn't see anyone ahead of me. There are signs along the track warning that it ends in 100 feet, clearly meant to add a thrill, but they felt more gimmicky than exciting. The views were okay, but not particularly memorable compared to other mountain coasters I've ridden across the U.S. The website says the ride lasts over 9 minutes, but it didn't feel that long. Each sled has a camera so you can purchase a video of your ride afterward, which is a nice touch. Overall, it's a decent experience--especially if you've never been on a mountain coaster before--but seasoned riders might find it a bit tame.

The mountain coaster was a lot of fun, had a short wait, and was only about $15. My favorite part, though, was feeding the goats on the roof! You buy goat food inside the gift shop for about $3 a cup, ($1 refill) pour it into a bowl, then pedal a bike that carries the food up a conveyor to the rooftop. The goats are already waiting, and it's hilarious watching them compete for the food. It's a unique experience that's fun for both kids and adults. Definitely worth the stop!

The goats were super cute and definitely made the stop worth it. The coaster was pretty fast and at a couple points it honestly felt like you might fall off, but overall it was a lot of fun and definitely a fast ride. It's a little cheaper than some of the other coasters in town, but still a little pricey at about $17 a ticket after the 12.5% tax. The store is HUGE and just kept going and going. They have all kinds of different knickknacks and random stuff to look at. They also have rocking chairs where you can sit and chill or buy one. Overall, it was a fun place to stop and check out.
