Some places become part of your life without you realizing it at the time, and this is one of those places for me. José and I loved coming here together, enjoying the donuts, the coffee, and simply spending time with each other. Those ordinary little moments became some of the memories I treasure most today. Every time I come back, there is a part of me that feels like he is still here with me. Beyond the sentimental meaning it has for me, The Salty has always been special in its own right. The donuts are creative, beautiful and delicious, the coffee is wonderful, and there is always something new to try. But no menu item could ever be as important to me as the memories this place holds. Thank you for unknowingly being part of our story. José is no longer physically here to come with me, but whenever I visit, I carry him with me -- and for a little while, it feels like we're having coffee and something sweet together again.
