The Salty Donut will always be much more than a donut shop to me. It holds an incredibly special place in my heart because of the memories I shared here with my late husband, José. Some places become part of your life without you realizing it at the time, and this is one of those places for me. José and I loved coming here together, enjoying the donuts, the coffee, and simply spending time with each other. Those ordinary little moments became some of the memories I treasure most today. Every time I come back, there is a part of me that feels like he is still here with me. Beyond the sentimental meaning it has for me, The Salty has always been special in its own right. The donuts are creative, beautiful and delicious, the coffee is wonderful, and there is always something new to try. But no menu item could ever be as important to me as the memories this place holds. Thank you for unknowingly being part of our story. Oh my God so I went in with a friend and I was like I don't eat donuts because they're fried only to find out that they don't fry their donuts. I had to go back and buy one for myself. I went in the month of March and they had a monthly doughnut that sounded amazing. It was a Boston cream. It was so probably one of the best things I've ever had. My daughter had the glazed donuts. I purchased a variety dozen and really wanted to love these, especially as someone who absolutely loves donuts. The donuts themselves were clearly high quality, but unfortunately, the flavors just weren't for me. I tried several bites across the different flavors, but nothing really won me over, and I ended up only taking a few bites overall. I'm glad I tried them, but based on the taste and the price, I probably wouldn't go back. If you prefer more traditional or classic donut flavors, these may not be your thing either. read more

I visited two days in a row . I really enjoyed the coffee - I had an iced latte with skim and I loved that the coffee was not bitter at all. I tried the glazed donut and it didn't disappoint. First in line, first to review! As an OG fan of The Salty (I'm talking Wynwood camper days) I had to visit on opening day to the newest location in Aventura Mall. It is in the nook of the Esplande right next to Sweetgreen so not hard to find and easy to find parking. I was looking forward to getting their pop tarts (because they are so good) but was informed that they won't be selling them at this location. BUMMER!! I hope this is only temporary because it's delish! In addition to my swag bag, stickers and post card, I ordered the Cookie Monster, Cookie Butter Banana Cream and classics Maple Bacon and Guava and Cheese. The service was fast but the line grew with time of course. I gotta keep up with my workouts because with this new location being around the corner I can see myself ordering often. Haha read more

The reason she's so itty bitty? They don't bake at this location--they're delivered fresh daily from Wynwood, so you still get that same irresistible taste you love. I'm a salty donut lover. Have always enjoyed the donuts and the coffee. Today we had (and loved) the guava cheese and hazelnut chocolate. We also enjoyed a plain hot latte and an iced cinnamon toast latte. But that's not what stood out to me on this trip- the staff. WOW! I really believe I was meant to meet them- they felt heaven sent with their kindness and compassion. I know this may sound all a bit dramatic for a donut shop review, but they were exceptional employees and humans- I hope their manager sees this and can trace back the 2 wonderful people who worked the shop today 9/12 around 2:15 pm because they are worthy of praise. The shop is cute but I wish there was seating. It took us a long time to find somewhere to sit with our kids and enjoy our treats. It's more of a quick pick up spot for donuts and coffee as the shop is pretty small and there is no seating inside the shop. I got a box of your donuts and they did not taste good in fact they tasted like DOG POOP!! They were dry, the frosting was patchy, and there was barely anything on the doNUT. Every time I come here they are out of the syrups for their coffees/lattes (banana bread syrup, etc.). They don't get enough inventory. This place is not reliable. read more
