The open kitchen concept is a the new norm at a few bakeries that I have recently visited - but only a few pushing the full transparency thing hard. All of the sandwiches and baked goods looked fresh and vibrant. The wife and I were deciding on a mozzerella pizza or an eclair. Well, we decided on a vanilla creme eclair and an espresso to wash it down. Nothing too dietetic here. The espresso was presented in a small cup bearing the Rosetta Italian Bakery name and red flower logo. The Julius Meinl Vienna Austria coffee blend was strong and smooth. Honestly, I don't think I have ever been in the Aventura Mall and didn't have coffee in Rosetta. It seems to be a tradition already. I have a love-hate relationship with it ;) When the mall is quieter, this is the perfect place to relax, have a snack and coffee. But when it's busy, you have to fight for a table, and stay in line for some time. I would mention though that employees do their best, they serve right away, friendly despite the crowds and always willing to answer any questions. I also appreciate them cleaning the tables constantly. The food and drinks are really good and fresh. Maybe that's the reason this place is so packed They do also have another smaller location in the food court; it is new I think. And it's less crowded. I would recommend. read more

If you come here on a busy day which it seems that the two times I was there it was busy. There is a long line of people and luckily there is a lot of people working behind the counter. However, service is slow and indifferent and not the most personal so that is not ideal. The bakery items are flavorful which is good. Since this location is in a mall I understand it is not the best place for an "ambiance". There seems to be tables on the side but I can't say that's the ambiance people are aiming for. When it's late for breakfast but early for lunch, this is the perfect place. We tried some of the smaller sandwiches they sell, one with salmon, another turkey and a caprese. The bread was delicious and fresh. You can also have them heated. They have a great selection of pastries. I like the mini ones, perfect size after a sandwich. Stopped for a coffee with a friend and Rosetta Bakery did not disappoint. We went straight for coffee so off to the far end, you can order just coffee and not have to wait the line for food. **Even though it was SO tempting! Their food looked fresh and delicious. All sorts of paninis, baked goods, and more. If it wasn't because we had lunch reservations, we would've ordered food too!** They do have a large portion of seating right in-front of the Bakery but keep in mind this place is popular, the likelihood that it is full is very possible. Rosetta always had delicious pastries and sandwiches, as a French person I am l quite picky and I approve the quality. Service is quite fast, the sitting can get busy but generally you will find a spot. It can get quite noisy because it's in the middle of the mall with tall ceilings. The coffee is OK, they use Julius beans which the roasting is too dark (because of the beans quality) so it's not the best tasting coffee. But if you take a drink with enough milk in it, it tastes fine :-) read more

Today, we stopped by Rosetta Bakery in the morning at Aventura Mall. This bakery is so nicely decorated, very clean with a cozy and comfy ambiance. You just want to spend an hour there taking in the wonderful aromas of the baking breads and desserts. There is a small area to sit and enjoy a coffee with sandwich or dessert. Very nice. We ordered lunch to go, a freshly made Prosciutto and Provolone Croissant sandwich and a Nutella donut. Did I say delicious? Oh, yessss! It has recently become my custom most afternoons to stop by the Rosetta Italian Bakery in Aventura Mall for a cappuccino. The brew is nothing short of perfection, with freshly ground coffee beans comprising a superb cup. To prefer Starbucks trashwater to Rosetta's nectar would be the precise equivalent of choosing MacDonalds over Hall's Chophouse in Charleston, SC (my absolutely favorite steakhouse); to wit, sheer insanity. But, truth be told, the real reason that I have turned my visits to Rosetta into a habit is the young woman who prepares and serves their coffee. Her name is Aurora, and she is an absolutely delightful breath of fresh air. She is in a continuous good mood, with a smile always on her face. When interacting with her, it is IMPOSSIBLE to feel down. She improves the ambient atmosphere, and ends the afternoon for anyone around her, with an injection of good feeling. Aurora serves superb coffee superbly. Great part about this place is that it's always moving. There's a lot of movement of food and people so you know you're going to get a fresh bite. We got 2 different types of sandwiches and they were both delicious. One sandwich had prosciutto and it was incredible tasty. The other was a caprese inside a croissant which was my personal flavor. Even without meat, it was so tasty. The croissant was so buttery and flaky. So delicious! The staff is so helpful and she even offered to toast the sandwiches for us. And yes. Toasted is better! Rosetta Bakery is yet another food addition in Aventura Mall's expanded wing but this is actually located indoors across from Macy's entrance. I stopped here to grab a sandwich but ended up having one of the veggie pizzas, mushroom and spinach. It was just calling my name lol :) It's not the best pizza I've ever had but the ingredients were definitely fresh. Plus they're not stingy with the toppings here. I also enjoyed eating my pizza at their gorgeous seating area in the middle of the hall. (See my pics).
