That being said, what has changed since my last review? - There's no more classes. The room for classes is now used for stretching and etc. - Prime time is now Monday night (it is so crowded). - The locker rooms are old and beaten up now. There was a while when the women's locker room smelled like decaying raw fish. About a month. It's better now. Maybe it's time to renovate the locker rooms again. - There's these 2 cool cross-skiing machines now. - There's a manually treadmill that no one uses. - They got these trash bin/wipes containers now. Who are the competition these days? There's a cheap small gym on Roosevelt that doesn't really turn on the AC, and a luxury gym on 38th Ave. So when it comes down to it, Bodhi is still thriving.

It just feels good to see staff at the front greeting me in and showing me the ropes of the place. I have seen this location many times passing by but admittedly foregone it in favor of Blink Fitness years ago because that was close to my location. Wanting to switch to another gym brought the opportunity to come here and it is slightly friendlier compared to Puregym, at least not as cold or sterile. It is Spring Break now so of course the gym was pretty packed but for what it's worth I was fortunate not to come across people doing super sets on various machines or spending several minutes on one machine I wanted to try out. Even had short conversations with 2 gym goers. In this day and age, social connection is very valuable so it felt almost as good as getting a solid workout in. Granted the Red and Yellow theme seems a bit garish, almost as if this place was created and run by Hulk Hogan but it's a nice change of pace from the dull and monotonous theme of the previous gym I was in. The one perk the gym has that separates it from others is that Retro Fitness has it's own Smoothie bar and a varied selection of them. I chose the Mocha Mania to be my first one and it sure does fill you up. It makes for a fine replacement as opposed to going to a fast food joint after a workout. Retro Fitness is my new home and with the highest tier I signed up for, I'm ready to explore more.

I would use the 120 lb dumb bell to bench press . However during the time I'm using it , members would rack their weights where the 120s go. I would put the 120s in the spot of the rack that's open like in any other gym. Alfred would bother me to constantly un rack the weights on the 120 spot that I never used and then re rack those weights in the right place even though I never used the weights. to It's not my job to RE RACK the weights they used . If the 120 lb dumb bell spot gets taken by another weight ...that's not my problem or responsibility . No gym I been to has ever harassed me to re rack other peoples weights , I only re rack the weights and equipment I use . If someone puts a 90 lb dumb bell in the 120 lb spot on the rack , it's not My job to now un rack their weights, look for the right spot it goes on and re rack their . I been at NYSC since March of 2025 and I never once been harassed by this

I used to have a membership with them and the team back then and trainers were phenomenal now I got…read morea pass to go because I am healing from a health scare and I wanted to see if my body is able to take on the weights like before and wanted to see if my body is healed enough to take on the group classes taught by the trainers the workers there yesterday are very disrespectful named Christian G some Guyanese looking man, Anthony some Spanish guy with a lot of cratered pimples on his face and some guy named Dennis kept harassing me and several other women talking about how they had sex with them, commenting on their bodies as well as mine and how people's vagina's stink it was so uncomfortable that later on I got off my treadmill and asked to speak with a manager because I wanted to complain about it happening because they were loudly disrespectful towards me and insulting me and this sexual harassment needs to be complained about more often. I hope the manager sees this and understands this is a very serious issue and should be dealt with accordingly because who knows what else they have been doing to women in that establishment coworkers or clients and they were probably too scared or depressed to speak up. I am disgusted by this establishment and those worker's behaviors. I will never go there again. I hope you are all able to check the cameras for audios and interactions I was so uncomfortable and the announcements made when they needed to close the establishments were so unprofessional.

I live fairly close to this gym so it is super convenient for me. The gym hours open early and stay…read moreopen late. There's an outdoor parking lot and an indoor basement garage. If you park in the indoor basement garage, there's a staircase that brings you right up to the entrance of the gym. You enter the gym by fingerprint reader. Right outside, street level, there's restaurants/bakery coffee shop. I utilized the gym today, 6:30pm to 7:30 pm and although there were other people exercising, there was still plenty of space for everyone. Plenty of machines and free weights to use. Plenty of lockers and ample showers in the locker rooms. The restroom facilities are right outside of the gym in the hallways. WiFi is provided if you require the internet to stream music for your workout. I would suggest to bring your own towel. Paper towels with spray disinfectant were available at the front desk. Met eric, he seemed very cordial and was very helpful with anything he can further provide.
