When I got home I was disappointed. I ordered a chicken with broccoli and garlic sauce. They made it with the wrong sauce, and the way she packed it all the juice and sauce spilled into the bag and onto my backseat. I doubt I'll be patronizing this place again. read more

This is no Michelin type restaurant but the food is authentic, delicious and fresh! The restaurant is modest and clean and the the service was on pint! The fried rice was one of the best I've had in a long time. The portions are generous and priced very reasonably! This was a great discovery! read more

Great for days when you don't feel like cooking. Some dishes are prepared with MSG and other dishes can be requested for without. Yelp should contact the store to update photos and hours of operation. They no longer server the sesame flatbread (芝麻大饼) which is their main Yelp photo. And they have a break between lunch and dinner but Yelp lists their hours as 11am to 8/9pm daily. Needless to say, I walked out and did not dine there. read more

I love this place since long ago. Their pricing is very affordable and the food is good. I don't see sweet and pungent shrimp on their menu now but hope it's still available because that is my favorite, along with beancurd pork, bamboo with pork, scallion pancakes, stringbeans, three cups chicken and sizzling rice soup. Of course the price has gone up over the years, just like everywhere else but still very good and I just found out they have a second location with same Chinese name but different English name in City of Industry, same plaza as Kamon Sushi. read more

It was dinner time and we were hungry so I did a Yelp search and found that this place was only about a mile away. I decided to try it despite some of the negative reviews with regard to service. I ordered a bunch of dishes to go to feed five people including hot and sour soup, salt and pepper spareribs, house fried rice, beef chow mein with pan fried noodles, shrimp with scrambled eggs, ma po tofu, and broccoli chicken. I liked the soup which had lots of ingredients even though it wasn't too spicy and sour. The ma po tofu also wasn't too spicy which is fine with me. The salt and pepper spare ribs were moist and tender compared to most places that make their versions hard and dry. The other dishes were good and mild like home style Cantonese cooking. The lady working there was very nice, patient, and polite. She deducted the soup price because apparently they give you a free dish if you order a certain number of dishes. The food was ready faster than I expected. The restaurant is small but clean and located a few doors down from JJ Bakery. All in all, I had a very positive experience here and would definitely return in the future. Don't let the negative reviews deter you. read more

The lunch menu is made up of 3 categories: $4.99/5.99/$6.99 dishes. Some of these dishes as straight up Panda Express, others are more homestyle. See my pics. Of the traditional dishes, they have quite a few tofu (skin, etc.) dishes to choose from. The sliced tofu braised dish is good. The fried fish croquettes with dill batter are also good. We've been here twice in recent weeks so I need a break, but it's a reliable cheap restaurant in this part of town with room for groups of 8-10. The decor is very functional. The Food is Delicious! I love ordering here with my family since there are lots of authentic Chinese dishes that taste good. As far as I know, they do take out and sit in. Food is fairly priced. They have a variety of Chinese dishes. It can get busy during lunch time. It's a very small restaurant so when it gets busy, the waitress always has something going on, whether it's taking orders, doing the checks, bringing out food, etc. So I really respect that the workers here are doing their best and the yummy food is an added bonus. read more

This place is kinda small and was getting pretty crowded around dinner time. Prices are decent and food is pretty good but also pretty oily, as Chinese food tends to be. I got the Mongolian Beef and Vegetable Chow Mein to go for a total of ~$15. Beware for the $25 minimum for credit card! I didn't have any cash so I thought about ordering more food but I didn't need that much food anyway so I told the nice lady I would just come back some other time. Of course she didn't want to lose business so she told me that it was okay and I could use my credit card. Yay! Also, service is kinda slow because there was only one lady taking orders, cleaning tables, AND handling the cash so I hope it's not like that all the time cuz a woman needs some help! The food was enough for 3 moderately hungry people aka 1 of me and 1 other moderately hungry person. But after our NYE phone order encounter, we've decided to start our search for a *new* Chinese spot. Everything we had ordered was flavorless and lacked sauce. What a way to deflate our NYE craving. We ordered Sizzling Rice Soup, Mongolian Beef, Sweet and Sour Shrimp, and Vegetable Pan Fried Noodles. First off, the Noodles we received had NO vegetables whatsoever and they were not golden brown and crispy. If this isn't something they typically make then tell me don't you make it?! I don't have any pictures of the food because we gobble it up so fast! It is a small neighborhood restaurant that serves typical Chinese dishes. What I was impressed with was their fried rice. We ordered the shrimp fried rice and my son who is normally a picky eater kept asking for 2nd servings and I must agree that it tasted delicious. Their tofu dishes, lamb with green onions, were tasty and not overly oily. I highly recommend this local eatery for a yummy dinner at very reasonable price. read more

I agree with Bill, this place is absolutely a great place for Chinese food. I know that every time we go, we do get fresh meals, however there have been many times when the waitress does not bring us water and there has been on several occasions an odor that comes from the back that smells like sewer. Yes their food is fresh, it is delicious and the Mangolian Beef is excellent! I have overlooked their lack of décor, but if they were to maybe change the color, look into the sewer system and be more attentive to their customers once they have been served I would give them a 5 star rating.
