    Coffee and pho and veggies
    James C.

Stopped by Phoholic and had a great experience. The pho came out hot, flavorful, and packed with rich broth that tasted fresh and authentic. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, which made the meal even more enjoyable. I also tried the coffee, and it was strong, smooth, and exactly what I was looking for. Between the quality of the food, the clean atmosphere, and the great coffee, I'll definitely be back. Great customer service. Newly remodeled and their soft opening. Highly recommend if you're craving a satisfying bowl of pho!

This place is the only pho place in the HH area that has lines during the lunch rush. The stopped by around 11am and was able to avoid the rush. There is only one thing on the menu...PHO. They do have a lot of premium meat options. I didn't really like this pho, like maybe it makes my top 10 in LA list. But it wouldn't make the list at all if I include OC restaurants. The broth is dark and rich, but I think it has too much of the dry spices. It tasted like the spice pouch was left in to cook for too long. I should mention that the service here is better than the service you will find at any other pho restaurant in LA or OC. They also sometimes give you a free bowl of meat trimmings cooked in their pho broth. This wasn't really my thing, but I can see how many people would come just for that.

Wins on service alone. When I mentioned to the server that I had to leave in 20 minutes, I got my food in less than 5. The brisket pho was perfectly nourishing and large but not overwhelming. There was a good noodle to meat ratio and the broth was spectacular. The ac temperature was perfect for the heat outside, and made the eating experience even more enjoyable. So glad I was able to stop by!

The wait and anticipation for Phoholic opening in the area unfortunately didn't live up to expectations. I believe this is their fourth location, and based on my experience at their other stores, it's the weakest one so far. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a modern and inviting interior. However, both the food and service were disappointing. The biggest issue was the pho broth. It tasted unusually sweet, to the point where it felt out of balance compared to what I've come to expect from Phoholic. Whether it was excess sugar or seasoning, the flavor was noticeably off and took away from the experience. Another concern was one of the vegetable plates that came with the pho. The herbs were visibly dirty, with dirt and mud still on them. We pointed this out to a server, who simply took the plate away. There was no apology, explanation, or replacement plate brought back to the table. While the restaurant looks great and I was excited to try this location, the food quality and lack of service recovery left me disappointed.

We finally have a Phoholic in Rowland Heights! I absolutely loved the OC locations, and missed it deeply when we moved to the 626. The sign for Phoholic had been up for so long, I was beginning to lose hope it would ever open! As soon as they had their soft open, you better believe I was first in line lol. This location is very big, and very beautiful inside. I don't need my pho restaurants to be aesthetic, I just need the noods to be fire, and Phoholic delivers on both fronts. All you need to know is, the menu is beef only, the portions are generous, the tea is free, and they are efficient af. You sit down, you order, your food is here. So fast. The advantages of a limited menu! My favorite is the #16, the beef shank and oxtail pho, but honestly everyone at my table ordered something different when it came to cuts of meat, and everyone loved what they ordered. You can't go wrong!

Two adults and two children enter PhoHolic of Hacienda Heights, CA. The Vietnamese pho chain is a modern, bright, and trendy noodle shop. Waiters are busy, but they work well with each other as team and friendly. The menu is super simple, one page of drinks. One page of pho only! Phoholic really focuses on the pho experience. We ordered #15 PHỞ CHÍN, NẠM, GẦU, GÂN, VỀ Brisket, Flank, Fatty Flank, Tendon, Crunchy Flank Phở, #4 Pho Chin which is just Brisket Pho. Basically all the soup base is same, you can select thin or flat noodles. All the pho have different type of meat. The ingredients are fresh, meats are tasty. Size and portion is good. They offer free kids pho and all noodles come with choice of hot tea or iced tea. Price is same for all pho except of oxtail ones (two of them) are higher in price. Overall, the soup itself is on the sweeter side and we kind of get thirsty right after. The taste is good, plenty of meats! It's a good pho restaurant to visit if you have small kids. Easy menu and pho is consistent. First time here, so I am looking forward to future visits.

Plastic in Food: 0 stars Service: 2.5-3 stars (some were 4 stars, while some were 2.5 stars) Food: 4 stars Plating: 2.5-3 stars My first and only experience to PhoHolic was an interesting one... For months, I have heard about PhoHolic and the anticipated opening for this restaurant. I was finally able to visit this past weekend and I will elaborate below on why my review is so much lower than other Yelpers. #14 Brisket, Flank, Fatty Flank, Tendon, and Tripe Pho w/ flat noodles $16.60 For a group of 5 on Saturday morning, we were able to be seated as we walked into the restaurant, which was a huge surprise. Even though there are tables and chairs directly straight, they sat us at a half booth, half table with chairs. It was not the most convenient or most comfortable as the backs to the booth were a bit far, but there sure was plenty of room. Even the chairs were spaced too closely, especially to the kitchen and I worried every time an employee walked by with bowls of hot pho... It just takes one misstep and the hot pho will be poured onto us at the table. Since it was everyone's first time there, dining in, PhoHolic sure has their own take on service. Once you sit down, sauces are delivered to you, along with the condiments. We mentioned 5 people, but they placed only settings for 4 so had to ask them for an extra setting. After ordering, they brought 3 bowls of soup, which confused the rest of us as there was 5 of us. We flagged down a server to ask, and apparently, it was complimentary. We had to ask for 2 extra bowls as we are not a family, and even if so, the 5 of us are not going to be scooping out of 3 bowls. As I was drinking the complimentary soup, there was plastic in my soup (attached picture). I mentioned it to the server, he just said "sorry" and nothing else. I don't think management was even notified. With the way that the booths are set-up, delivering our hot bowls of pho to each of us was also a bit dangerous. Again, all it takes is one mistake and I would have had pho spilled all over me as well. Other than the sauces brought to us, along with the complimentary soup and pho, our water was never refilled (and these are very small cups) and no server came to check up on us. When we requested to-go boxes, the server was not calculating it correctly prior to bringing the containers and we had to ask another server for 1 more. Also, one does not ask for the check, one goes to the front of the restaurant and mentions the table number, which we did not know because it was our first time there and no one told us. They also do not split checks, as mentioned on the hostess stand. There are also no paper menus for to-go, so make sure to take a photo of the menu! The soup and flavors were great, and can tell there was not much MSG in the broth. It was clear and refreshing. The tendon cut (or lack of a cut) was very generous. Would have preferred a bit more refined portion and more within the soup as some may have chewing issues with the thick tendon. The tripe was very thinly sliced and soft. I do like how one can choose between small noodles or flat/fresh noodles. For service, I would not expect to be tipping them the normal as I felt service was very minimal. Although there were many servers around, I felt they were standing around more than anything. Management was not notified of the foreign object in our soup. Food-wise, besides the plastic, it was good but I don't know if I would frequent PhoHolic often for my pho fix. There is plenty of parking as PhoHolic took over the previous Corner Bakery section of the building shared with Meet Fresh.

We came here at 1:30pm on a Friday thinking the rush hour has passed. There was still a waiting and it was full house. This place is so Pop! We ordered 2 bowls of Pho. This is what they only offer from the Menu, soup noodles. Surprisingly, the soup was flavorful and the noodles soft and chewy, just the right consistency ! The meats were pretty decent , tender and thick cuts for the flanks. I deep it with the schiracha and it brings out the flavor~ very yummy that I was able to finish the whole bowl in one seating .(very rare) lol The inside gave me the aesthetic Vietnamese feel ~~ this place is so cool and I walked out with my stomach very full. Will definitely come back again!!

Found out about PhoHolic in Westminister and really enjoyed it so was excited for its opening in Rowland! PARKING Plenty of free parking in this plaza with lots of tables available. Very clean and spacious. SERVICE Service was TOP NOTCH. Immediately got seated on a Saturday and allowed to sit inside even without my full party arriving. They laid out hoisin and sriracha in individual cups along with sweet onions, limes, bean sprouts, and Thai basil leaves. PRICE Complimentary iced tea, hot tea, and water and $5 fruit teas. $16.50 for most of their phos which was a pretty large portion for 2 people to share. FOOD Noodles were cooked to perfection and the soup was hearty although a bit too sweet and oily with what tastes like msg. The steak came on the side which was interesting but quite tender. I ordered #11 which had Steak, Flank, Fatty Flank, Tendon, and Tripe. I didn't have much tripe, but large pieces of tendon and fatty flank. OVERALL A solid place with easy parking for a nice warm bowl of pho with great service and delicious complimentary tea.

Pho Tai 5/5 - my family loves this pho place. We were excited to see a new one open in hacienda and it didn't disappoint. Beef is tender and broth is so good and flavorful. Workers are friendly and interior is really nice

Great atmosphere and very modern! More selection of meat and noodles! I love pho! I really like their soup base but the noodles were too soft for me. Overall service was good! But I think they are still kind of new and some seemed not familiar with what he needs to do!

The wait is over and another great pho has finally arrived in the 626. This is one of those spots that perfect to take someone from out of town that is looking for a real deal pho experience. What's also cool about this spot is the giant bone items. Whether it's beef ribs or tendon, it's so cool when they bring it out. I got the tendon one, and it was so soft and tasty, had to take home to eat it properly, without looking too animalistic. Definitely will be back and parking is huge, so no need to fight over for one. service was good and i appreciate the food runner being able to add the tendon to my order!

We noticed the soft opening sign for PhoHolic and decided to stop in for a weekday lunch around 1 PM. The restaurant was completely packed. The space has a modern, clean look, and I especially loved the light fixtures. The menu is very simple and focused mostly on pho with different beef options. We ordered the oxtail pho, pho with five meat selections (including steak, tripe, tendon, and meatballs), plus an extra side of bone with tendon. The broth was flavorful, the oxtail and other beef cuts were tender and enjoyable except for the tendon. Unfortunately, the tendon was tough and hard to eat, which was disappointing. Service was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. Overall, it was good pho and a trendy atmosphere, though not quite the life-changing experience as hyped.

#11 (steak, flank, tendon, tripe, and substituted meatball for fatty flank) with thin noodle

They always have a lot of seating and are always willing to help if you have any questions or need any additional service. Their menu is extensive and they have a bunch of items, but my favorite thing to order there DIY spring rolls, as well as bun bo hue. To be honest, you could order almost anything on the menu, but those are my go to. It is quite loud in there, but there's always people inside, enjoying their food. It's a place to go and it reminds me of home when I can't get home made food. There's a bunch of TVs around if you feel like watching the news or any sports, their restrooms are relatively clean, and their parking is in a huge plaza so depending on the time you go, there should be parking! The food tastes authentic, the quality is amazing, and everything is so rich and flavorful. You can really tell they care about the food they make. It's located on the corner to the right side of Hong Kong Plaza near Haven City Market, and honestly this restaurant really stood out to me. I already love this plaza, but this place quickly became one of my favorite spots there. One thing I really love is their pork spring rolls. They make them fresh when you order, and you can definitely taste the difference. They're so fresh, delicious, and honestly one of the best spring rolls I've had in a while. They also do catering, which I definitely plan on using in the future if I ever host a party or birthday because the food is just that good. I only had one issue during one of my visits. I can't eat cucumber, so I asked for no cucumber in both my pork dish and spring rolls. They accidentally still included it in my pork dish. Thankfully, when I brought it up, they fixed it quickly and apologized right away, which I appreciated a lot. I still love this place, but I do think it's important for people with allergies or food restrictions to double check their food before eating, just to be safe. Besides that, everything else has been amazing. The restaurant has a really calm atmosphere with lots of greenery and that open, cozy Vietnamese restaurant feel. The workers are also really kind and welcoming every time I come in. I also appreciate how authentic this place feels. Whenever I'm trying food from another culture, I always want something that feels genuine, and this place definitely gives me that experience. I come here a couple times a month now, and it's honestly one of my favorite places to eat. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the cucumber issue, but overall the food and experience are still amazing.

Anyway, if you see Zhu Chicken, you are at the right restaurant! I got a crispy pork rice noodle with pickled bamboo and possibly one other meat. I can't recall. The crispy pork is a must. It's so fatty, but paired with a pickled veggie and that super spicy green sauce from the sauce bar, it was amazing. They give you a vinegar sauce, and you can add as much garlic, cilantro, and hot sauce as you want from the hot sauce bar. I went for a briney, spicy flavor with a ton of garlic and cilantro, and the resulting combination is something I still think about. Rice noodles were nothing special imo. They were soft and slippery, but didn't really soak up the sauce. You just have to get a perfect bite (or in my case gobble) that has all the layers of warm soft noodle, fatty rich meat, and spicy/sour notes from the sauces. I can't really compare this dish to anything, so I highly recommend coming here if you want something unique and bursting with flavor.
