We put in our hot tub a few years ago, and we hired Erik almost immediately for weekly service. The first year, service was good and we had no complaints other than our weekly service was rarely weekly. As time passed, our rarely used hot tub always had a problem and was never working properly on the random times we were trying to use it. The past year, our weekly service was almost non existent. I texted repeatedly because our water levels seemed to consistently be low. In January, we were told we needed a motor. We purchased a new motor and we were asked to renew our annual contract in April. After expressing concern that no one had been showing up, I was told they had staffing problems and that Erik would show up personally on a weekly basis and would provide proof of service. Erik showed up once two weeks after signing a 6 month contract to let me know we needed a new cover. We paid for the cover in full, and he has never come again. It's my understanding that he is having some personal issues; I tried to be understanding and asked for responses to my texts and actual service calls. Erik never showed up again when he said he would and stopped texting me. We have since had someone else come out to address our hot tub only to be told that we have had a leak for over a year and that some lights have burnt out.

Once I was able to fill the pool and get the pump working I was looking at what looked like a green swamp. However, the very knowledgeable Lisa in the water testing department recommended a 3 day regimen of chemicals which, remarkably, had the pool more or less clean in three days. Honestly, I would never have believed it. She understands the chemistry and was spot on with the solution. Now, after all of that, I am being told the same control board they replaced nine months ago is bad again and that I need to spend another $900 to replace it. I understand warranties have time limits, but when a customer spends around $2,000 trying to get the same hot tub fixed, it is extremely frustrating to be told that a major part they recently installed has already failed and that the only option is to pay full price again. At some point, a company should stand behind its work, its diagnosis, and the parts it installs. I do want to be fair and say that Eniezer has been very professional and helpful from a customer service standpoint. My issue is not with him personally. He has been courteous and responsive. My problem is with the company's inability to properly fix the hot tub and back up the service they provided. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about using them for any major repair.

It was a major construction project with lots of complications. Jules at Royal Pools shepherded the project along, and she had my back every step of the way. Whether it was logistics or aesthetics decisions, she was there when we needed her. I felt she cared as much as I did about getting the job done and done well. At their request, I made the mistake of paying them when the job was "almost done." In the time it took me to run to the store and come back, they packed up and left without finishing the job. Like other reviews have said, their attitude went from great to downright hostile the minute they had their money. I spent $25,000 to have this pool refurbished, and they left me with a pool that is unfinished, leaking, unable to properly circulate, and with no chemicals in it. It is now starting to turn back into the same swamp I paid them to fix. Now I have to take more time off work and fly back to NY to find a company to finish the job. If they'll do this to a 75 year old widow, I doubt they'll care about taking your money.
