I thought it was weird when she asked for my credit card # by phone - I told her I would give it to them when they came tomorrow. She asked again and I clarified, "you need my credit card number before you even send someone out to take a look?". Her response, "since you are not one of our customers, yes" Unfortunately I won't end up being one of their customers (and I mean that sincerely) as I am not giving my credit card number over the phone to anyone, let alone someone I haven't even hired to do the job yet. If this is a standard practice it is very questionable at best. If it is a miscommunication then the staff they have working the phones is doing them a great disservice- either way, just sounds like a problem waiting to happen.
