Happy Fathers Day. Quality/Quantity - Taking our guest to visit her father at the cemetery. But unfortunately for us, we tried to make a pit stop at Two Pitchers in SF which took us on a different route from our 19th Ave flower shop.... And the last visit to your competitor Flowerland was a negative experience, so here we are. Huge location. Limited affordable selections. Least expensive options were the mini carnations $8.50 + tax, otherwise it was $10 + tax a bundle. When I asked the gentleman (owner) working by the front door for help, he was too busy for me. He just said the least expensive flowers are $10 over "there." It's hard for me to pay for expensive flowers when sadly the cemeteries have proven to throw away our flowers the next day. And we have tested and visited this experience in more than 5 cemeteries, all the way south to Skylawn. Sometimes I wonder if someone is reselling these bouquets... I hate to think so negatively but!!!! The young lady working the counter is much more friendly and welcoming. Ambiance - Again, a huge location. Not everything has prices, hence having to ask. Service - Self service. Decent counter service. Poor to NO salesfloor service. Price - $20, one day flowers are getting more and more expensive. If it was not for the cemeteries "cleaning out" our fresh flowers daily, I would have no problem spending more $$ to pay our respects. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success. read more

We've been to Paul's Flowers twice, both of which were for buying flowers for our dogs' witness cremation services. Conveniently located on El Camino Real, just minutes away from Pet's Rest Cemetery & Crematory, this family-owned florist has been a practical stop prior to our fur babies' services. With an onsite parking lot, we have been able to jump out of the car to make a quick purchase and head on our way in a jiffy. Paul's Flowers sells classic and modern flower arrangements as well as plants for special occasions. They also sell bouquets/bundles. For my dog, Lulu, I bought a nice, simple pre-bundled bouquet of pink carnations for $8.50. These fresh flowers had longevity - we took from the bouquet a few carnations to put in a vase at home and it took more than three weeks for them to start wilting. The staff is always attentive and helpful. At my most recent visit on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the team member at the counter was very friendly and sympathetic, offering condolences to me for Lulu's passing. Heads up, though - for those who don't carry cash like me, Paul's Flowers charges a 3% credit card AND debit card fee. I've been coming to Paul's for flowers since 2020. Yes the prices for flowers have gone up exponentially since COVID, however their prices are still competitive compared to some of their competitors. I came back to pick up a dozen red roses for a friends engagement. Like always, they were extremity professional and even gave their recommendations on how to decorate them and cut them for this special occasion. Long, overdue review for Paul's Flowers. My family and I have been getting flowers from Paul's for over 15 years. We visit Paul's every time we visit the cemetery. We used to be able to get a really nice floral bunch for $3.50, but like everything else, inflation has increased a basic bunch to $7.50. Their flowers have always been one of the better quality ones around Colma. On a recent visit, I got five bunches for a visit to the cemetery. Upon arriving at my dad's grave site and unwrapping the bunch to place in the vase, I noticed that much of the bottom stem parts were moldy and slimy. The same happened with the other four. This was such a disappointment as I have been loyal to Paul's due to the freshness of their flowers. I felt it fair to leave 3 stars as the quality has always been good and perhaps this was just an exception. Parking is ample as they have a small parking lot and there is also street parking available right in front of the store. read more

I will no longer be ordering from Paul's flowers. I ordered a very classy arrangement for my mother's 85th birthday, instead a completely ordinary arrangement was delivered (albeit with a lot of flowers). My mother did not like the arrangement as her taste is that she likes unusual arrangements. I called the shop regarding the delivery and I believe I spoke to Paul and he said he would look into it and call me back in an hour. 24 hours passed and no call was received. After several attempts of calling (there is no voicemail set up to leave a message), I spoke with a woman who advised me that they have the right to substitute which I understand. But to not even give me the opportunity to pick something else and to deliver an arrangement that looks nothing like what I ordered? A couple of months ago I sent flowers to my friend whose mother had passed. I thought it was odd that she didn't thank me for the flowers, so I had to ask if she liked them. Turns out Paul's flowers delivered them to someone else! Had I not said something, I would have never known that my friend never received the flowers. My family has been coming here for years, perhaps decades at least twice per year to purchase flowers during the two annual Chinese holidays to pay respect to the elders. These are typically around April and October on the Gregorian calendar (I commonly use before Easter and Halloween as approximate dates to help me remember). Paul's has always been our go to spot, not necessarily because of how great they are, but more by default and convenience. They certainly seem to have the cemetery market covered, with their large storefront right on El Camino surrounded by tombstones as far as the eye can see. Sure, there are a few other shops in the vicinity, but most are smaller and less visible. With that said, it is apparent that with each passing visit, service has gotten more gruff and impersonal. The workers truly act like they don't want to be there. No smiles or or any sort of greeting. "Hi," "good afternoon," and "thank you" are completely foreign concepts to them. I know that visiting tombstones isn't exactly the most joyous occasion, but the atmosphere in here is often more dreary than the morgue itself! Furthermore, they purposely hike the prices for bouquets during these two times of the year because they know patrons will pay whatever amount for them. I know this for a fact because I have visited relatives during other times of the year, and the prices are indeed lower. Of course, as mentioned, Paul's knows that customers will still fork over their hard earned cash regardless, so they can charge whatever they please. Besides the cemetery bouquets, Paul's offers your typical arrangements, but I can't imagine individuals purchasing Valentine's flowers from the graveyard florist. Then again, take that back! From the picture they showed and the actual flower display was very different and we were so disappointed. They did not put as many roses as shown. When I asked them they said they discontinued that item that's why it was like that. If that were the case- they shouldn't advertise the item. Other issue I had was my cousin purchased a flower arrangement and was never delivered and was supposed to be guaranteed. She paid $200 for nothing. When calling them they kept giving me the run around and I always had to call them. They told me last week that my cousin would get a refund. Until now- nothing. I had to call and follow up again and once again they said "We will check with our bookkeeper and get back to you." This flower shop was very disappointing and definitely would not recommend. I buy flowers all the time and never have experienced such rude service as I did with Paul's Flowers. I ordered an arrangement for my grandmother's funeral and it never arrived. I called the shop multiple times for over 2 weeks before I got a response about a refund. Even then, it took another 2 weeks before the refund was issued. It shouldn't take a month to get a refund on something I paid in advance for, that's crazy. I will never shop there again. My in-laws are laid to rest in a nearby cemetery. Dear Hubby and I often stop at Paul's Flowers to pick up a simple bouquet of flowers to lay at their graves. The last time we were there, I was really disappointed in the whole scene. The shop was mostly empty. It looked uncared for, lacking in displays, character, or many blooms at all. I understand that in a location like this where most of the business revolves around the cemetery / mortuary, that it's not necessarily a place where people would go to look for gifts and other ancillary products like you'd find at other florists. Still, the mood presented was that of a business that was tottering on the edge of no longer being in business. The flowers themselves seemed to be of reasonable quality. No pricing was in evidence, so I felt like the staff could quote whatever price hit them that moment. I ordered a bouquet for my parents' 50th anniversary -- placed it 7 days in advance, paid extra for same day morning delivery, and selected a specific bouquet arrangement. Nothing showed up by noon so I called and was told "the driver is on their way". By 7pm my parents were on their way to dinner and still no delivery. Two days later the flowers showed up when my parents were on a trip. I tried to get in touch with a manager, but was told they weren't available and that someone would call me back. No one ever did. I called back 7-8 times over the next week before I was told to "F off!" And hung up on the final time when I asked for a refund or discount. No refund. No apology. Just incredibly insulted. Well Wednesday came and went no flowers. Called Thursday and was told they were prepared but forgot to be delivered and a manager would call. Well Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday after multiple attempts no manager ever called, no refund issued, no flowers, no one could do anything except call back later. Finally called Monday spoke to the manager all she said was sorry well process a refund you'll get it in 2 days. Wow!!!! That's all you can do for a customer that spent well over $150 on flowers is sorry. Well there are plenty of other florists that want business and will deliver. Came here one quiet morning. There were no prices on the flowers, but I watched a lady come in, pick up 2 bunches of flowers from a bucket, and I heard the man cashier say it was $10 each. I heard the total come out to be $20 even. I then proceeded to pick 1 bunch of flowers from the exact bucket. When I was ready for checkout, it was a woman cashier. She picked up my flowers, looked at the man cashier, who was in another room, and said, "15?". The man just shrugged. So I told her, that the previous customer that was just here a minute ago, bought flowers from the same bucket and it was sold to her for $10. The lady cashier shrugged without looking at me and said, "hm, okay. $10.95." I guess tax was not included in these flowers, but was for the previous customer.... so they could squeeze a few more cents out of me. I paid and left. I have come here, mainly for grave flowers, for over 15 years. I've heard of their unfair pricing that changes, depending on who comes in, but this was the first time I experienced it. My first experience with them was when I had to order flowers for a funeral. It was obviously a difficult time. The very kind women, asked if I had an arrangement in mind from the website. When I stated no, she said she could also create an arrangement with certain flowers that I wanted and work around my budget. She offered many recommendations, from a basket to a spray stands. When I told her the Church, she knew right away it was Presbyterian and knew what flowers to include and exclude, based on their religion and how it would look inside the church. All deliveries were made on time! Besides the professionalism, generations of experience and expertise that they offer, which I could go on and on about, I just really like Paul, Larry and Patty. I never felt like they were trying to oversell me anything. They will take the time to listen to your needs and they have a lot of experience and advice to offer if you need help. July 2023. I placed an online order for a funeral spray at Paul's Flowers through lovelingly a week in advance from the date of a funeral. Paid $300+tax+fees for the deluxe Heavenly Horizons Spray. And what was delivered is not even close! Flower shop to mortuary is 2 miles away. It was supposed to be "A peaceful combination of yellow Gerbera daisies, yellow roses, purple gladiolus, lavender roses, purple carnations, stock, and sword fern are beautifully arranged in a classic spray for the service or wake." But as you can see in the picture, it has white and pink carnations! Can't even call to complain as they don't answer the phone. Don't order online! read more

The reason why I go here is to visit, & honor my loved ones that are no longer physically here with us. Just remember.............. She even offered to cut my flowers so it would fit properly in the vase, as the flowers had very long stems.
