On the surface, this dealership does not have all the bells and whistles others have, no self-serve cappuccino machines, and no suits charming us with their fake smiles. What Paul's DOES have however, is the human factor that is typically not synonymous with car shopping. Our entire experience was painless. From in-person talks, test drives, text message follow ups, and closing the deal was as straight forward as buying a slice. I'm giving them one star cause I have to give a star. Driving a Volvo has been a dream for me. I had the misfortune of leasing a 2018 XC90 from this dealership. The sales experience was seamless, the service department is more then subpar. Loaners are unavailable, they'll rent a car but you need to secure it with your credit card and drive the rental person back to Paterson. The car needed rear breaks in less then a year of driving, took it in for a routine service a year later, yup, needs rear breaks again. They will not honor their past work and replace them as a courtesy. Full price is what they want you to pay. Am I seriously going to have to replace breaks once a year???? To top it off, they are going out of the Volvo business so they could care less! DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS HETE! NO MATTER WHAT THEY ARE SELLING! They're snake oil sellers read more

Once again Paul's went above and beyond!! They always give incredible customer customer service!! Not only did they fix the air conditioner in my 2008 C3O for way less than any other quote I got from these other dealerships but I mentioned I was taking a road trip and Jim the service guy did a free safety check of the car AND filled up my washer fluid for free!! Paul's Volvo is now Pauls Motors Sales & Service, Inc. Same family operated business with same technicians. They are no longer a volvo dealership but they still specialize in volvo repairs and have expanded there business into all make and model automobiles. Paul's was my go-to Volvo repair shop for more than 3 years. The mechanics seemed to know what they were talking about, and they seemed to have a unique knowledge of older Volvo's. When they incorrectly diagnosed my car the first time, I passed it off as an error anyone could make. When they did it again, I was annoyed, but tried to think the best. When they did it a third time, and they then told me that a tiny part they had missed caused me endless amounts of headaches, I was really annoyed. But NOW, having taken it to another shop, I've found that what Paul's said was a $1200 job (that I kept waiting to fix because of the cost) is now being fixed for less than $400. The new shop explained the way Paul's wanted to fix it wasn't at all necessary, and added: "We could take the roof off your car and put it back on, that might fix the problem too..." Paul's is a family owned business that goes back 3 generations. I've had experience with them for almost 20 years and have never had anything but excellent service from them over the years. They remembered my name the second time I was here and greeted me as family rather than a potential sale. I couldn't imagine servicing or buying anything elsewhere. Their mechanics have knowledge on the old models as well as the new, are respectful and never have tried to oversell unneeded services as I've experienced elsewhere. If you have or are looking for a Volvo old or new you'd be foolish to go elsewhere. Paul's is the only game in town as far as I'm concerned! Sometimes I like to stop in just to say hi. Be careful getting service here. I was charged $750 for a service visit AND I was told I needed new breaks and rotors, had 2 bent wheels and needed an alignment (approximate cost $2500). After taking the car to my local mechanic for a second opinion, I was told my breaks had less than 20,000 miles use since being replaced and that all that was needed to fix the vibration was balancing my wheels. $20 later my car no longer vibrates. I will not be going back there. read more
