Yes, It's hard to schedule a service appointment and you usually have to wait a while for appointment availability. The fact that service area closes at 5pm sucks but my experience with the Bellavia service department correcting problems covered by the extended warranty that they sell has been stellar! James was great with explaining the process and the repairs needed. NO ONE tried to up sell me a service I did not need on any of my service visits. I repeat NO ONE. When was the last time you took your car anywhere for servicing where some one did not try to up sell you something additional? So in my opinion if you need to buy car that you plan on holding on to until it's not worth repairing buy it from Bellavia and don't forget to buy their extended warranty.l because they stand by it. They crashed my car while working on it. The technician, of course, blamed the car shifting into gear, but we all know they were just careless. They are not even giving me a loaner car because they say they don't have any cars available. It's a 2022 90K top-of-the-line Tahoe, and these guys crashed it. I would go somewhere else with your car. Update: Bellavia won't state how the incident happened, basically because they know their technician drove carelessly. They also stated they would fix the car according to their insurance requirements, not to how the car was when it was brought into the dealer. See attached. So I have a Buick Envision 2022, I didn't lease the vehicle from there but I have Tire and Wheel coverage through Zurich. I stopped by the dealership because I had noticed I had a gash on my rear tire. In the past I have taken my other leased vehicles there because it's close to work and convenient and they've always repaired or replaced my tire with Zurich coverage. This particular time has totally turned me off. I went in and started speaking with a gentlemen in service. Right out the gate he was EXTREMELY rude and you could tell he did not want to help at all. Listen, I get I showed up without notice but I was totally willing to wait. He went on to say that my tire would not be covered and I would be responsible for the difference, but his tone was unprofessional and you could tell he just didn't want to be bothered dealing with calling Zurich. I made the bad decision to lease a 2019 Trax from the Bellavia Chevrolet Buick in East Rutherford NJ. Worst decision of my life. The Trax isn't fuel efficient and is poorly made with inferior plastic parts. **Disclaimer: this a long but well worth review. You can always just scroll down to what I've numbered if you are in that much of a rush lol** This dealership's ethics are very questionable. The first time I visited this dealership was in the spring and I asked to take a Camaro for a test drive as well as get more information. The salesman told me I couldn't test drive it because it was boxed in, but I could go see it. After I went to see the car, the salesman said to return to the dealership in a week and then I could test drive the car. However, In my head I was thinking that he wasn't taking me seriously or he would've taken the car out for me to test drive THAT DAY or at the very least the next day. So after I left I told myself I wouldn't be returning there. Then recently I started researching and trying to find the best of the "End of the Summer" deals. My friend told me she knew a guy at a Chevy dealership so we decided to go see him. I didn't know it was the same dealership until I showed up, so I begrudgingly decided to give the place a second chance since my friend knew the guy. I've been car shopping before and it sucks. Salesmen are going to always be salesmen with their own best interest in mind, but this guy we went to see was just the slimiest salesman I've ever met I walked in there and told him I wanted to test drive a V8 Camaro which he told me he didn't have and then proceeded to try and talk me out of. He then kept insisting that a V6 was better and that I should at least test drive it, so I did. Needless to say a V6 does not compare to a V8, and although it was aesthetically pleasing, it wasn't what I wanted. Let me emphasize, the car I test drove was a fully loaded black Camaro with leather seats, gauges along the middle console, etc etc. After we go back inside the dealership, he kept trying to talk me out of the V8 and I told him that I would settle for a V6 as long as it was THE SAME EXACT car as the one I test drove but in white. He agreed to the deal, asked for a deposit, asked for insurance information, and then told me the car would be shipped to the dealership by Wed. (Side note: every time I asked him for a price on different Camaros, he said he didn't have a price to give me if he didn't have the vehicle in stock. He wouldn't even give me an estimate- which of course he was lying) Anyway.... #1 The car that was delivered was not the car I agreed to #2 He kept saying that the car I test drove never had leather interior or the gauges #3 Keep in mind, it is impossible to confuse a car with those features for one without #4 When I asked him about the lack of leather seats, he initially claimed that the seats were half fabric and half leather-then later "discovered" they were fabric all along #5 He said he did me a favor by getting me an "extra tire"....which in fact the car already comes with a "donut" #6 When I got there he was all excited for me to sign papers, but I insisted on test driving the car again before signing.....so to add insult to injury, I found a rather large scratch/hole on the steering wheel in which I pointed out to him. #7 To which, he replied and said that after I signed the papers, I could take it in to get fixed (Why do I want to get a car and bring it in the next day to get something fixed? It's their job to make the sure that the car is in the right condition to be sold before, not after!) #8 After all that, he tried to take $25 off the payments just to make up for the gash on the steering wheel. Then he kept insisting it was the best deal I was ever going to get #9 Once we were outside, he then said I wasn't as "slick" as I thought I was, and to just get the car #10 By the way, at one point he even said I couldn't get my deposit back because it was for the delivery fee. (Another lie) #11 Then when I officially didn't want to get the car anymore, he said he would do me another "favor" and refund the deposit because I was a friend of a friend. (Also a lie, because he HAS to give me my deposit back. It would be ILLEGAL if he didn't.) **Moral of the story: I should've trusted my gut the first time. Don't go to Bellavia. I called other places and they were much more helpful, respectful, and honest. By honest, I mean that a different dealership returned my call and made it clear that, even if I didn't buy a car from them instead of Bellavia, they just wanted me to know that it would be illegal for Bellavia to keep my deposit. **What I also learned? If you are having a car delivered, test drive it one last time before signing just so you can double check to make sure there's no huge gashes and that it is the same car you wanted. Hell, maybe I even should've taken pictures of the car I test drove just to prove what a liar he was. **Guess what? Also thanks to them, I have insurance on the Camaro I never bought since they went ahead and prematurely processed it. Fortunately, it's easy to fix, just inconvenient. read more

Horrible service department that charges for unnecessary work. I brought my 2018 Trax in on Thursday 5/5/22 for service. I previously had the car at my mechanics for the engine light coming on sporadically for about 6 to 8 weeks. He checked the codes and it showed P0496 which he informed me was a purge value and under warranty and that I should take the vehicle to my dealership. I made the appointment for service with hesitancy at your dealership. I say this because twice before your service department gave me false & incorrect diagnoses. Therefore, I was glad to go in armed with the proper information. Unfortunately, your mechanics said that was not the problem and it's a ho2/co valve that's not (surprise!) covered under warranty. I again said that's not the problem and I want the purge valve replaced. I was told that can't be done because they're getting a different code. I agreed to the $300 repair against my better judgment because felt I didn't have any other option. As I'm paying and ready to leave your service tech tells me to call them if the light comes back on. Very encouraging. Well, by lunch time Friday, the light is back on and the car is running terrible. Constant hesitation, bucking while braking, and wouldn't start again after getting gas. I had to try 3 times to finally get it started. I called Friday afternoon around 5pm and left a message for the service department telling them of the issue and requesting a call back ASAP. As your service department is only open during the week I had to wait until Monday for Kenny the service manager to call me back. He of course tells me I have to bring the car in again for another service call which means I have to take additional time off work. I bring my car back in on Tuesday, 5/10/22 in the morning. They again diagnose the computer codes and - lo and behold!! - it's exactly what I told them it was when I brought the car in the first time! They replace the purge valve under warranty. As of today, 5/13/22 the car has been running fine and no lights are coming on. Before I left there on Tuesday, I requested to speak to Kenny regarding some kind of refund for the work that was done on my car that was not needed. He was not there and they didn't know when he would return. I told them I would be calling him. Today I called him and explained my position. I would like to be refunded for work done to my car that was not needed and did not fix the problem. I explained I would pay for the part that was installed in my car but that I want a refund for the labor. What was done did not fix the issue and I had to take additional time off work to return to the dealership when this all could have been completed the first time - if they listened to me - or at least tried to address what I told them. Kenny didn't agree with this and feels the dealership needs the compensation more than your customers. This might work for your bottom line in the short term but it will ultimately hurt in the long run as you lose customers. Again, I am willing to pay for the part that was installed but I don't feel I should pay for labor for something that didn't work and forced me to return a second time, at my expense, to get the car fixed properly. I'm not sure if your service department is inept or deliberately deceive your customers, but neither choice is a good look. read more

I saw a pre-owned vehicle on their website, and they actually had it -- first good sign, as a growing number of dealerships are using fake listings to bring in would-be customers. Email correspondence with Tom LoBue was prompt and informative. I made an appointment to see the car, and he was available. Again, you would think all this is to be expected, but it is becoming more and more rare for auto sales to be at our convenience, instead of theirs. Very pleasant guy, no pressure whatsoever. I was able to test drive the vehicle without giving the dealership all sorts of personal information. I wound up not buying the vehicle in question, but I had to write about my experience with this place because this is how shopping ought to be. Leased a new Equinox in Oct of 2019. By December, after only having the car for 2 months, there was a rotten moldy, mildew smell from within the car. I scheduled service, and it was determined there was a mold issue with the car due to a manufacturer defect. I've been going back and forth with GM and the dealership, in and out of loaner cars since January. They are unable to resolve the issue. Finally had enough and am pursuing legal action against GM. Conveniently, now all of a sudden the dealer "needs" their loaner back, and does not have another loaner to give me, and expects me to take back the Equinox with the mold issue. The service manager, is rude and condescending. After having my car the first few months, he finally called me to discuss the issue- and when I asked why he didn't reach out to me prior to discuss any of this, he said "it's not my job to deal with customers." Really?!? So now it's 8 months later (btw, I've continued to make my car payments on time) and Bellavia is saying they will report the loaner as stolen and insisting I take back the Equinox which hasn't been driven in 8 months, and continues to have a persisting mold issue. I was a brand new Bellavia GM customer; this is how they treat people? Would NOT recommend this dealership! Or any GM vehicle! read more

There was a problem (again) with the online reservation system used by your dealership, such that the service dept did not know I was coming. After I showed them the exact confirmation email I'd received, they realized that there is a "message" problem for the webmaster to fix. Nevertheless, they did my oil change service for me while I waited. It did take longer than I'd originally expected, but given that their computer system didn't have the appointment for me, I was thankful the service dept accommodated me, & I was out in about 2 hours, oil changed, tires rotated. I would also like to say that everyone I encountered or interacted with at the dealership was friendly, patient, respectful & very professional. I'll share facts only. No any personal opinion here. Make your own. 1) I've visited this place with my friend who was shopping for car. 2) The sale person (Gary) was totally incompetent, he was not aware about engine configurations, how media works in car, what service should be done and when, even what features pre-installed onstar system has. 3) The cars titled "certified pre-owned" are not certified or protected somehow. This is simple manufacturer warranty you'll have anyway even if you buy it from another person. 4) The contract I've seen, contains nothing about any coverage at all, but contains multiple fees like "car preparation", "documents preparation" you should pay to dealership anyway. 5) The sale person stated the car was protected "bumper-to-bumper" for the next year, but when we checked it using VIN in General Motors database, it was clear this manufacturer warranty will expire in 3 months. And if you need it for longer - you should buy protection plan separately. 6) When we tried to escalate the questions to sales manager (Jim), he was not polite at all. And just wanted us to leave him alone. 7) When we tried to contact GM, who is "very helpful" here in reviews section, they asked us to leave or security will take care about us. 8) The shop is located in a good place and at the same time with us there were 3-4 customers more, who was clearly not aware about all of this. If I was able to give half of a star, I would. My husband took our 2019 Chevy Traverse there about 3 weeks ago because it was making a loud noise. They "fixed" the issue, and that cost him $370. Last week, THE SAME noise is happening. I called the supervisor of the service department, Kenny, and he assured me that the truck "is supposed to be loud." Sighs. Husband took the truck back to them two days ago and he was told some cap is missing from the exhaust and it'll be $515 to replace and weld it. He walked right out. Three weeks ago, we weren't told about a cap that needed replacing, but told that there was something that was loose and paid $370 to fix it. Now, they expect a payment of $515 to "fix" THE SAME issue. I called Kevin last week and left my name and number to discuss this and he didn't even bother to return my call. I then asked Brian the service writer about an oil change and I was told $59.99 I latter found out this was a partcial synthetic oil that was required. When I picked up the car I found out that my car does not call for that type of oil but Brian felt I should use it do to my mileage but never gave me any othwr options other than the $59.99 Then I was told the vehicle needed a cam speed sensor and the labor was 3 hours $374 when the part was $18. A true pleasure doing business with Bellavia! About three years ago I leased my Buick from Bellavia and worked with Tom LoBue. My credit was so-so at the time, and didn't expect much of a deal. However, Tom was able to crunch some numbers, and couple of days later I drove off in a new Buick at a good price. Well, fast forward three years, and today I BOUGHT my car from Tom LoBue!
