The problems started after the move was done. No major damage was done to my stuff - the only reason this isn't a 1 star review. They took off the legs to my couch so it would fit through the doorway better which I could understand, but they didn't tell me where they put them nor did they put them back on. Common courtesy would dictate that if you take the legs off the couch you should put them back on - especially when you don't tell me where you packed them. I also lost an attachment to my vacuum cleaner as well as the closet rod to my armoire and a recycling container. I later found out where the VC attachment and legs to the couch were packed but again this is a customer service red flag. When I asked them about it via text they said the VC attachment was "in an open box" and the closet rod was "somewhere in the suite." Thanks for your specificity, how helpful...../sarcasm. The best part is what's happened with the closet rod. Turns out it fell off in the truck at some point and is sitting in their warehouse. They promised to stop by with it but were no-shows on that day they said they would come. Frankly it wouldn't surprise me if they just put it in another armoire whose closet rod fell out. I have since replaced the closet rod and recycling container at $16.50 and $20 respectively, but the low value of this stuff is not the point. They should know their business and should've fortified anything that could've gotten lost. That's what other moving companies do, after all. The recycling container is still AWOL, for the record. Nor have they made any other efforts to drop off the closet rod which is still sitting in their warehouse at the time of this writing. For this lackadaisical attitude towards my property they have already forfeited their tip. They got paid nothing more than what they billed me. These guys will come on time and only took 2.5 hours but they don't show the care for your stuff that they should, nor do they take proper responsibility when your things go missing. Won't hire them again.

By the time I returned and viewed the statement from the auction house, I saw that Eager Beavers were a bit too eager and disposed of many wrong items! I am not impressed at all. And to top it off, I was charged an extra $1500. over my initial quote, $1000 of which was spent for 4 guys to sit in a truck while they were stuck in traffic. We moved from a condo into a house and it took 4 hrs 45 minutes with an additional stop to a storage location. It could have been 4 hours total but we got detoured with a free sofa that turned out to be awesome and now sits in our main living room! They require you to have your mattresses in covers/bags and they'll rent them to you for $19/each or you can buy them from Canadian Tire for $10 each. My one piece of advice would be for them to sweep/clean their moving trunk regularly. After they left I kept finding small pieces of broken glass which came in from the bottom of their shoes.
