They don't serve food here and there is no law in Los Angeles that states patrons must wear shoes in a bar - but tonight after 20+ visits here with my pool league team and after hours with friends, I'm asked to put on my shoes. No sign posted stating no shirt, no shoes, no service but yet I was asked to put on my shoes or leave. So I stopped playing, sat back down and finished scoring our last game. I put on my airplane socks and played a couple games of pool. When they noticed me playing, I was told the socks were unacceptable and accused me of having an attitude. Both the bartender and whoever the guy was were the ones having an attitude. At this point, I was already finished playing and getting ready to leave. It really was no big deal but they took my unfinished drink and pretty much threatened me if I didn't leave. The guy was getting in my face. My friend is a frequent customer there but that didn't seem to make any difference. Not sure what crawled around in their minds that possessed them to treat me like they did but it certainly was unacceptable. read more

I wanted to like this place. It's conveniently located near the 118 on-ramp on Sepulveda. It's a long bar with a lot of space. And I'm sure for a pool or darts player, it does the trick. Unfortunately, it's just a depressing place. The windowless front wall gives off the message "go away". The rest of the strip mall, especially the nearby laundromat, is also depressing. On a Sunday night, the bar was empty except for about 5 - 10 pool / darts players (in that venue, even 10 people doesn't make a dent) -- and they didn't seem particularly excited to be there. Even the bartender, while courteous enough, gave the impression she'd rather be somewhere else. The men's bathroom was also somewhat smelly and run-down, and the bar only takes cash, no credit cards. If you're in the area and need a beer in public, or to play pool, I guess you've got a spot. Otherwise, you're probably better off with any of a dozen other North Valley places, like the Witches' Brew, Rabbit Hole, or even Sugar Suite or McG's. read more

The staff was polite. The locals were pretty welcoming. The pool tables are well taken care of. The people putting $ into the jukebox had good taste. No kitchen but they seem to be okay with you bringing outside food in, so that's a plus. Cash only so be sure to bring your US currency. There's no ATM so if you forget, you'll have to go back out. Don't judge a book by the cover with this place. Although the outside looks like it's a broom closet, it's really not bad. I'll come back to this place, for sure. read more

my girlfriend and I made a date. To meet at this bar yeah it's a dive but we used to come here to have beer then eat Mexican food across to street. I have an electric bike the strip mall where the bar is located does not have a bike rack where I can lock my electric bike. I asked the bartender if it was okay if I brought my bike in since there is no like locking facilities. Local dive. Cozy. Just a place to have a beer. Mix of locals, young and older. One or two craft beers on tap buts that's expected. No weird tweakers or aggressive bros, and that's saying a lot for this part of the valley. Two pool tables here managed by a turn based system (write your name on the board) rather than deal with snobby table hogs you'd expect at average pool bars. Disclaimer: this is my first time here. Happened to stumble upon this place because my dryer is busted and had to go out to the laundromat. Great find. I'd consider this a place where I can comfortably tour as a bar fly. read more

Heard a lot about Paul but did not get a chance to meet him. Although everyone speaks English, you'd better know Spanish. Price were decent. KARAOKE was fun. People were friendly. But the men bathroom with a curtain instead of a door, the cash only bar, and no food was a turn off. Tables were coin operated but are in good condition. After all I would go there again. read more

Came in on a Thursday night, just looking for something near by last minute for a drink and chill. Seemed like it was closed, if you're not a regular you wouldn't know it's there. The drinks were good and cheap! They have 2 pool tables, dart boards, and seating are. They have a lot of trophies, looks like there might be league games. A lot of the ppl there had there own equipment. All in all I was pleasantly surprised, they have a jukebox which was playing a good variation of music. The bartender was nice and the drinks were of generous size. Would go back again, maybe play some pool next time. Even though I'm terrible at it! Lol read more

So I have been coming to this place for 2 years now about 3 times a week. they serve beer and wine only but if you want you can go out back and smoke weed and do shots from the liquor store and the owners will turn their heads being he is one of them doing the shots. I went there in January and decided to take my new girlfriend. We were playing pool and decided to get a shot because we went out back to smoke and saw the owner (Paul) doing a shot with his friends so we went to the liquor store and bought some shots. Well that got my girlfriend thrown out by the owners wife (Cookie) who is also one of the bartenders usually during the day.My girlfriend ended up getting 86'ed and threw her Iced tea at Cookie. If you're a regular you can do shot's in the back but only if you're a regular.My recommendation is go after 7 pm when the owners are not there except for Saturdays because Paul is there on Saturdays. Drink bottle beer only because they don't clean the glasses very good. I still go here about once a month but I go when the owners aren't there because Cookie has been known to toss people just for joking with her. I don't know if it is because she doesn't understand it or she just can't take it. Since January I have taken pictures and even a video of Paul and his friends doing shots in the back and throwing their bottles just as proof so they can get in trouble for it since my girlfriend got 86'ed. read more
