Our first visit to have dinner with friends yesterday. As per reviews I've seen, cheesesteaks were awesome! Atmosphere, staff, food all amazing. Our waitress, Emily, was the best. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. She checked on us several times to make sure food was good, and if we needed refills on our drinks. We will definitely be going back and will probably become regulars since we live in Tobyhanna. Our only regret is, we didn't find out sooner that we have such a great place in our backyard! read more

We had a birthday party in the backyard there on Saturday and everything went great. The girls helped us decorate and the cook prepared the food we requested right on time. We brought our own cake and they stored it for us until dessert time. All of the staff were very helpful and things ran smoothly. Remember seeing it when they first opened for business. Thinking to myself this place is old and probably smells like beer and wood inside. NOPE no smell but it is definitely an old looking place BUT the food is delicious. Ordered a vintage burger cooked to order perfectly, garlic parm wings, delicious and fresh, meatball parm sandwich, the bomb and onion rings, the best and pretzel bites. Everything was good and fresh and they did not disappoint. Don't live too far from them and will be stopping by more often for food. Service was good and polite. This rating is based on four visits, and it kind of hurts my heart to give 2 stars when the first couple experiences would have been a solid 5 stars. When they are on...damn, they are on! Food and service the first couple of times were dynamite. Food was great; service was terrific. Truly thought we had found our new favorite spot. Last two times? Damn (not in a good way). Husband ordered wings (previously said they were the best he ever had); this time they were overdone and basically inedible. Asked to send them back; our server pretty much disappeared for the rest of the evening. Did receive a fresh order, which were better. Took another chance tonight, honestly hoping last experience was a one-off. 54 minutes after ordering, watching people who arrived after us finishing their meals, all the bartender could say was that he was sorry (this was after being assured twice that our food would be out soon...we ordered boneless wings and a meatball sub, nothing difficult). Meanwhile, a woman walked in a full 30 minutes after us, got her meal, and still we waited. My husband finally called bartender over, were again assured that food would be out soon. At this point, asked if we could just pay for our beers and leave; he said we could and, to his credit, comped the beers (we left a $10 tip, regardless). In conclusion, when they are good, they are very, very good. When they are bad, they are horrid. read more

We had a good time! The place itself is nice and clean, the people were great, and the food was overall good. The garlic pretzel bites were phenomenal and so were the fries, which you can't say for many places nowadays surprisingly. The meatball parm was also tasty- I have high standards for meatball subs but the vodka sauce on it was a nice change from the usual marinara sauce I see. I'll be back sometime soon. read more

I've never had a bad meal here. The food is outstanding. The service can be slow when they're busy, but it's understandable. I do not recommend sitting at the bar and eating there's an older gentleman who is a bartender who never puts in the order. one night I waited over two hours to get food and I ended up just leaving without eating. The place is haunted which is very cool. It's an all-round great place to be and eat, just sit in the dining room and have patience if it's a busy night. read more

Great to be back in the old Keublers Inn, aka Rice's Tavern, Tobyhanna,PA. SO far, have had great bar service from Michelle, Devin, Coach, and also met Torre. Great staff, great food. Reuben is a must, Duck Bacon on crostini is also amazing. Probly going to comedy night this week, and looking forward to the back porch area, with live entertainment coming. Nice tavern in a very old inn I suppose. The menu has varied styles to choose from without being really large. Everyone at our table of four really enjoyed their food. Their draft beers also had a good variety represented, including Guinness. Prices are reasonable. We sat in the restaurant side. Our waiter was nice and helpful but there was a disconnect somewhere. We ordered 3 side salads. We got a dinner salad and two side salads. The server (not the waiter) didn't know if the salads were dressed and had to go back to the kitchen to find out. Then he brought two dressings and when we needed the other dressing he seemed to have an attitude. Also there was a misunderstanding on putting the sauce for the reuben on the side. So, minus one star for the errors and attitude. They had a live band outside when we left. read more

PLEASE COME HERE!!! First of all, we arrived and was greeted by the extremely friendly bartender. We sat down and we ordered a round of waters. It was promptly brought over to us when he asked us "have you been here before?" We said no and he said we were in for a good time - which we were!!! After that, the great and wonderful Coach came out and he told us everything we needed to know about the menu and gave us amazing recommendations. Food was fresh, fast, and delicious. My friends had burgers which were fresh and delicious where I had a basket of the WitchKraft fries that did not disappoint!!! The pickles are TO DIE FOR!!! Please come and support this wonderful restaurant. From beginning to end we had the best time. There's also tons of games to play throughout the bar.
