The Pavilion Indian restaurant is by far the best Indian food I've had in a long long while. The inside is clean open airy and the staff are super helpful and friendly. The dishes, oh my.. chicken pakora and vegetable pakora.. delicious. Six of each, plenty for two people as an appetizer. Our main course was chicken curry & chicken tikka masala. Fantastic. They have vegetarian, chicken, lamb offerings along with all the breads & rice. They also have vegan options and will cook your meal to your spice level. It appears that they also go a lot of carry out. We saw several people come to collect food. They too have outdoor seating on the sidewalk but we chose to sit in tonight (a little chilly). Stopped there for lunch with my family before one of us had to get the ferry. We got three lunch specials (one entree and one bread order each) to share, and all of them were excellent: flavorful, well prepared, and good quantity. Service was friendly and efficient and prices were very reasonable. We will definitely stop there again if we are back in the area. They've got lots of vegetarian dishes, including a vegetarian paneer korma that is pretty damn amazing. They can adjust spiciness to your liking. I don't obsess over prices, because I want my damn Indian food. I've had some meals that were excellent and some that were pretty blah. But I've never had a terrible experience. And honestly, I love Indian food and Pavilion has a freaking monopoly around here. So I'll keep showing up. read more

Fabulous Lunch Coming from LA we make sure to stop here for the tastiest meal. The cauliflower dish is fabulous, for lunch or dinner. The garlic potato stuffed Naan is terrific as well as other dish my husband had. Look forward to coming back next time for the same dish. read more

We had dinner on last Friday night. The food was over all okay..yes not so great. We had ordered the appetizers platter, which only included 1 samosa, 2 tikkis, 2 pakoras, and were pre made but they were refried before serving. They were very greasy. Then in main course we had ordered vegetarian curry, naan and biryani. Naan was fresh. Curry was not so great. And biryani was just like pulao. We found this place on Google. Avoid the place if you have better choice. We ordered two things from this place when we stayed in Hyannis Inn over the weekend. The chicken biryanni rice and onion Naan. Both tasted horrible. For the rice,I had never had something totally blank and lack of flavor, I was horrified to see peas, broccoli, bells pepper in my rice. Why they did that ?? Some review said the rice tasted just like fried rice and that was actually what it is. The garlic Naan didn't tasted any better. It was dried and chewy. My friends and I had dinner here last night and were severely disappointed. Indian food is one of our favorite cuisines and we were therefore, very disappointed to find that none of the dishes were authentic to their true flavors and ingredients. The Chicken Biryani - resembled and tasted like fried rice with big chunks of onions, tomatoes, and carrots, no hint of saffron or traditional Biryani spices, the vindaloo didn't have the tangy flavor and tasted like orange paste, samosas came served on a bed of "lettuce", and the other dishes followed a similar pattern. It was a decent meal but to call it "Indian food" would be a miss. A note that the service was really great. Our service was very accommodating and allowed us to customize our drinks! This place continues to go downhill! The last two orders I had from them were pathetic. I love Indian food and they are the only Indian restaurant in this area of the Cape. Last night the vegetables were like mush, the rice flavorless and the Arita watery. Fortunately I made the main course-tandoori like chicken- myself. Veggie samosas and a large Taj Mahal to share. Add onion and a little tamarind condiment. Yummmmm! For entrees, I got the (vegetarian) Malai Kofta and bf got Chicken Jalfrazi. So having been to India and eaten Indian food there, as well as at many restaurants in the Pacific Northwest, it was a necessity to get Indian food while in Cape Cod. Having read so many negative reviews, I thought that they must be incorrect or highly picky regarding this restaurant. I am glad that we decided to ignore the negative reviews. I dined tonight with my parents and we ordered our favorites: Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Mahkni of varying spice levels, and Vegetable Korma. I asked for some paneer to be added to the Veggie Korma and the waitress was kind to say it was fine, no problem. Our meal arrived within a short amount of time. Not only was the garlic naan as I would have expected, we all enjoyed our meals and the servers were kind and attentive. The Indian food was delicious and made for a lovely evening, with the flavors we expected and service that was welcoming. I recommend this restaurant to all who are looking for Indian food while on Cape Cod. read more

I have been to this place at least 10 times. It is CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT. The Wait Staff are all attentive, efficient & gracious. I have had quite a few items from the menu. I always get the pappadamS with the relish tray. I LUV LUV LUV the green coriander sauce. Perfectly executed: lots of coriander with a savory tangy flavor. The purple Tamarind is lovely too. Slightly sweet with a soft jammy texture. The chopped pepper & onion relish is delish too. A bit on the hotter side but yummy. The Veggie Samosas are FANTASTIC. I have had the meat ones but I love the peas & potatoes in the Veggie ones. The Naan bread is delicious. Freshly prepared. A bit like Pita bread but slightly thicker. I LUV the ONION KULCHA. It's naan stuffed with sautéed onions. YUM! I have had the tandoori chicken & the tikka masala which is in a tomato curry sauce. Both fabulous. Both mild but flavorful. I have also had the chicken in spinach. That's delicious too. I always have a Kingfisher Beer which is an excellent lager. I along with many locals really enjoy this place. We wanted to do appetizers and go for dinner somewhere else. Since we were only ordering appetizers, we were NOT allowed to dine-in and were forced to order a take out. Seriously? My wife was already disappointed but I could not let go of a chance to eat Samosas in the Cape so I ordered Samosas for take-out. Our excitement turned cold when we found pubic hair in the samosas. We were met with aggression when we attempted to bring it to their attention. The old lady was rude and reported it to the chef (owner) who came out of the kitchen fearful and aggressive. We were offered no apologies but a refund. When I told them I would take pictures and report them, the owner snatched away the Samosas fiercely. There was only one dine-in customer (old lady) at the time so we felt isolated. The owner shamelessly threatened to call the police if we did not leave the premise. It turned out pretty ugly and we were fearful of their family. We left very disappointed, fearful vowing never visit the restaurant. I read some of other comments and I agree, the family run business is unapologetic and shameless. All we wanted was an apology - not refund or a threat to call their local police (which they said they were friends with and would take their side). They left us dismayed through intimidation. If we were locals, we would have reported them to the food inspector. Please do not eat here. The place is unhygienic and they should not be in business with their attitude. Another Indian restaurant should open up so they do not have monopoly! read more

We sat there for 20 minutes, no service, not even asked for water. When we started giving our order, owner lady very rudely said that the order should be minimum $10, our order was already more than that, she never bothered to listen. I go to my timeshare at The Cape every year in December...off season. I always dine here at least once. Food is excellant as is the service. It is family owned and operated. The prices are very reasonable. It is clean and priced just right. Great for solo or family or groups. Drink prices are very reasonable too. Try different items on the menu and mix and swap to savor the flavors of an awesome culinary experience. As usual order to your taste....They will comply. Make it your choice. This place neither serves good food nor service. Went to this place on a Friday night in the hope to grab some good dinner. Food came fast but tasted very bad. My husband could not have even one piece of chicken tikka masala and malai kofta. The malai kofta had frozen potato balls in a warm curry. I suggest don't waste your money going to this place. Instead try other restaurants away from the main street. I would have given two stars for the owner offering to replace chicken tikka masala with something else. We asked for Dal instead. But I will say even dal was not good. Based on my experience I will advice not to try Indian cuisine at small tourist places. They are generally not up to the mark. read more
