I've been going to Pavone's for over half a century and after having lived in the City twice, I can aver that it's still the most authentic New York pie in CNY. But it's not just a pizzeria! All their subs are great (and yes, I've had them all!), but their meatball sub is perfection on a plate. One nice surprise is their salads, which are always fresh, crisp, and tasty. Staff was friendly. Service was quick. Slices were tasty and the typical ny style (thin, flower bottom). Cost was a little high (4 slices and a drink $18) but would definetly go back and understand why they have so many awards. read more

I will start as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away. This has become my favorite Pizza place. The pizza is always good the crust gets just the right amount of crisp and the cheese to sauce ratio is always spot on. Also they have these golden wings that are awesome. They are like a Carolina honey must BBQ sauce and always cooked to the right crispness. Also the last time I was there I tried the pinwheels. I will be ordering them every time from now on. If you want pizza in Fayetteville or Manlius they deliver and it's always good. Give this place a shot read more

We order all the time. Good guys, fast service and really consistent. Pizza - awesome! Hot wings - awesome! Salad - even my husband actually enjoys it! I don't like pasta with my chicken parm so the way it's served a-la-carte for a lesser price than a typical Italian entree is great for me. The calzones were smaller than expected (by at least half) so I'll stick to pizza wings and salad. read more

Above average thin crust (not soggy) NY style pizza place. Their wings were served buffalo style and delicious. Not much decor to cheer about so we always do take out. They do serve pizza by the slice too, if you need a quick pizza fix. It's our go to place every time we are craving NY style pizza when coming to Syracuse. read more

The food is very good, never a problem! However the problems lays in that witch we call the Pizza Nazi! There is a fellow who works there who is an exact clone of the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. The buff little guy in his 40s is scary and always messes up the orders! He's a boomer who hates technology so ordering online makes you the demon millennial. So he purposely gets the orders wrong! One star, only because the pizza is good. I ordered a pizza from the Manlius location at 4:30 PM(40-50 minute wait time) and the pizza arrived almost 2 hours later cold. I called at 5:45 when I saw my order was out for delivery at 5:27, but had not arrived. The manager answered and took a look to verifiy that my order had not yet left, but assured me it would be in the next deliver and the driver was on the way back. I waited until 6:15 and called back asking about my order and this is where it went sideways. The very nice girl answering the phone politely said she would get her manager and she did. The manager took about 5 minutes to get on the phone and then proceeded to tell me he did not have time to talk to me. Actually said he told the girls to not answer my call, because I kept calling. I was able to get a few words in and expressed my concern of waiting almost two hours, to which he replied that the "CURRENT" wait time is 1.5 hours(I ordered at 4:30 for a reason). This all ended with two cold pizzas, me losing my cool, him telling me to Fu$&$&! off and me then hanging up. I will go back to the Bridge St location, but I will never be treated like this, or go to the Manlius location. read more

Twenty-two years a happy & loyal customer. Yet hating that I have to say Goodbye. Just picked up our usual 2 lg pies and 1 dozen wings. Couldn't help but notice that one employee rolling the dough had his mask tucked under his chin, while three others wore it below their nose. (As useful a preventative as wearing half a prophylactic is to reducing teen pregnancy.) So I quietly asked to speak to the boss, who very politely told me they remind their employees about masks, but declines to (at least) have the dough roller put the mask on. I left as I came, quietly and peaceably, seeing nothing done differently but for the youngest employee (who rang up the order) who pulled the mask over his nose. Twenty-two years yet politely blown off. And this occurring while millions of NY'ers remain unvaccinated. Goodbye. P.S. - Left a $10 tip. Strangest experience of my life. I called and ordered a large cheese pizza.. simple. I show up thirty minutes later and say my name and they look at me like I have ten heads and gaslight me asking if I called the right place. I live in Manlius New York where Pavone's pizza is located and I believe they have three others throughout the city in Syracuse. My business is in Syracuse New York and there's countless number of other pizza places there and on my way home. I had ordered a thin pizza last night which is Saturday and other things as well and I noticed that it really wasn't thin and mention it to the manager. He couldn't of been any nicer as he said let me remake it give me a couple minutes and for him to do that and not just push his pizza out of there was quite different then you would find in most places. 8 to 10 minutes went by came over showed me the pizza, it was a work of art. The pizza was a 10 out of 10 and the wings have to be the best wings in this whole county and beyond. I'm from New York City (NYC) and like NY style better than any other kind of pizza. I like Pavone's pizza as well or more than any pizza I've ever had in NYC or anywhere. I don't know what makes it so good. I think it is not one thing but the entire combination-the crust is thin, the sauce could not be better ad the cheee is simply wonderful. But all together from the first to the last bite is unbelievable. The only thing I'd change is the closing time. Stay open til 10. People like pizza late. But Pavone's is great any tie. read more

It's ok. I'm not from these parts, so I feel bad having nothing else to compare it to, so all I can do is assume I could find something better, and probably something worse as well. We had a large pizza with mushrooms, onions and pepperoni. Nothing stood out as awful, but nothing outstanding. They do deliver but we do take-out orders since my brother's place is so close. Wish they put more pepperoni toppings as it was kind of skimpy portions. The wings were good although a little greasy. Good pizza - but not great. I have always loved Pavone's Sicilian pizza, and can highly recomment this, but for regular pies, they always seem to overcook the crust, which I am not a fan of. The wings at Pavones are pretty standard, so you can't go wrong there. I think there are better choices in the Fayetteville-Manlius area, but not many. read more

It's been 10 years since my last review on Pavone's and the rating has NOT changed! It's my favorite. I really love their cheese slice and was so happy to have the chance to try it again. We came in the afternoon and there were slices for us to get immediately. There was a steady stream of people entering and picking up pies and slices. The pizza is simple and really good. The wings were delicious too and my husband enjoyed them more after a day in the refrigerator, after the sauce settled into the skin. Please enjoy a slice in this old school pizza joint! read more

I have been to this restaurant twice, a week before COVID closed everything down, and most recently a couple of days ago. On my first visit the staff person came across as fairly rude; on my most recent visit, I noticed that they haven't done much to address the welcoming attitude. I can look beyond that. It's a pizza joint. What I can't look beyond was the bearded person making the pizza walking around with no mask and most of the staff wearing their mask as chin guards. There is no reason for us to go back because there are many establishments just begging for customers to return. read more
