It made my condo look cheap. AV Solutions came in to fix it. They found a conduit behind the drywall, and fished the cable through it. While I waited to hear back due to the person I needed the info being off, Boulder Home Theater reached out and said "Upon further consideration and review from the owner we are not comfortable putting a recessed box in that location. It's too much of a liability for us the scope of this project mainly for any tile damage and not knowing what's behind--and possible heat-leak up from the fireplace. If this was a normal standard drywall wall setup not above the fireplace, we would have no issues quoting that." This even before I was able to let them know what the materials and wall type were and it's an electric fireplace with the ability to have the heat turned off which I let them know prior to this response. If they can't even wait for my response on the materials or work with me on the install but just say you aren't worth the hassle, well that isn't a company I would want to work with when it comes to installing TV's. They were also priced higher before this then the numerous other companies I received quotes for. I had several jobs I was planning over the coming months but will take my business elsewhere.

We decided to move forward to bring T.V.'s, sound, ring systems, and cameras up to snuf with their company. It was a complicated job and we were not around for much of the work. The house was left tidy and if we ever had any concerns Michael and Mark strived to make it right. Recently, a couple months after installation, we were puzzled that some of the bedroom outlets and bath switches were not working, I was concerned that something had "happened" during the alarm install, I called and Michael came out within an hour and went thru the entire bedroom electric system, couldn't find anything wrong... then he did not stop, he called an electrician who came out the same day and he carefully went thru once again , including the breakers, tracing things in the wall until finally,,,,, he figured it out!!!! It had nothing to do with Michael's install ! The GFCI in the bathroom had tripped and all of these were connected. MYSTERY SOLVED!! SAVED US much heartache! Thanks a million, Michael!!!

This cost of the service was a surprise to me (I was never told about this). The connectivity to the devices through this paid service doesn't work - I haven't had remote access to thermostats for five straight months and overall, I haven't had access about 30% of the time during the three years of service. While, Michael's Audio hasn't made me pay for the all of the follow-up service calls (approximately eight of them), they have been very slow to resolve the issue (I've placed dozens of calls and sent countless emails asking them to resolve the issue). They sent over their 'expert' almost a month ago and we agreed to replace the system with one that doesn't require a paid subscription to connect......I haven't heard from them since. I guess my next step will be to hire a different company and have them install a working system. Then ask Michael's Audio for a refund, which, given their slow response, I might need to pursue in small claims court.
