I bought a PawPaw's camper (knowing nothing about Campers) in April of 2025 with Chris R. being my first point of contact and camper guide. I was later assisted with salesman Jeff, both Chris and Jeff worked with me. I was schooled very patiently and felt comfortable with the purchase I made. Both salesmen were attentive even thou they were both busy with a full weekend of potential buyers. The accounting department (I can not recall the pretty ladies name) was very efficient, funny and very patient while answering ALL my questions. Chris Rovia's persona and energy was very comforting, he is very patient and very easy like a Sunday morning kind of a guy. He made my experience very memorable and positive during a very hectic short turn around time for me. read more

Wish I could put negative stars. We bought a new camper from them June 2021. Sales dept was awesome while trying to get you to buy. But after you have bought. The pleasantries end rapidly. We needed some warranty work and insurance claim work due to IDA. Brought it to them. Insurance company already had done the appraisal and approved work to be done. Also had sent them the check for payment within a week. Two months later I had heard of no progress from Paw Paws. I decided to ride to the shop and speak with them. Only to find out they had done absolutely nothing. No parts ordered nothing. And the insurance work was just cosmetic work. Their excuse was they did not receive enough money and had found other issues they reported to insurance company. I found out they were even trying to claim warranty work as insurance claim. And they blamed the insurance for being slow. So I went home and called my insurance. only to find out it was paw paws that was being the problem. Insurance was asking for details cost etc. that PAw Paws was trying to charge way above market cost for repairs etc. Insurance had even sent them additional money, But Paw Paws was still not satisfied. They kept trying to get more. My insurance was not very happy also with what they could see Paw Paws was trying to do. My insurance and I decided to take the work away from PAw PAws and we will find someone else. I gave Paw Paws 24 hour notice I would be canceling and picking up my camper. Which is what Paw Paws asked for was 24 hours notice. I picked up my camper a headed home with it. Only to be stopped along the highway and told of the floor falling out from underneath. Picture attached. Two of the panels was falling off because all the screws were missing. We had to tie it up with twist ties so we could tow it without causing anymore damage or loosing the panels. And bring it to get the panels put back in place. So much incompetence in their server dept employees. I woudl not ever recommend or use Paws Paws for anything ever again! We'd met and spoken the sales person (Bo), fine gentleman, regarding purchasing a RV Travel Trailer. He kept a file on us as a potential customer. In the interim, we spoke to Hayden who sold/push us into purchasing a propane tank monitor devices for about a $100. He talked my ears off trying to sell it. So I told him I would try it. Well, we decided not the use it, and never opened it. Upon returning it, he told me it was against company policy to return a part. I told him, "he never told me that," knowing we were going to try it out. Obviously, assuming if we did not use it or like it, we would return it. Well, he coldly to me he would not take it back, looking puzzled and guilty as you can imagine. He stated that policy was on the receipt and it was impossible to return. I told him any reputable business would not do this!!! My goal is to write and rewrite reviews until this matter is resolved or else.... Paw paws is nothing but a rip off. I had a appraisel done for a 150.00 and all they gave me was a post it note, a big red flag went up I let them replace the window, and they charged me $300 more than what they said. saying this was shipping charges which was a lie. I refused to allow them to do any more work, and took my camper back only to find they screw up the installation. Luckily for me I'm a retired PI and secretly recorded all their actions ever since they gave me the post it note. I turned all my evidence over to the district attorneys office. which I hope brings criminal charges. Like others, the sales was great. Bought a new 5th wheel in August of 2021. A month later slide malfunctioned. Took it back for warranty repair. It took 35 days for them to repair it. Two months later another slide malfunctioned. Delivered it to them on December 29 to get warranty work repair. Also, ice maker in refrigerator was not working. So, 2 weeks later they call and say the finally identified issue with slide, needed new slide rack and manufacturer for refrigerator was shipping new refrigerator. Today is January 31. Still NO slide rack, no refrigerator and no idea when it might come. I've had the 5th wheel for 6 months, making on time payments, and it's been in shop for 2 of the 6 months. I would bet if I were paying cash for the repairs it would already be repaired and they would be wanting my money. The service at this place is absolutely awful. I bought an extended warranty on it, and when this first year of warranty is up with Paw Paw's I won't be going back. I will be taking my repairs elsewhere. It's one excuse after another. The staff are nice and professional, but getting the work done is terrible. read more

Only reason they got 1-star is because you can't put zero. I have bought campers all over this country for years and never ran across the rudeness and arrogance of this sales guy! Salesman we had was extremely rude and spoke over us on the phone, wouldn't answer his text after we had committed, didn't know who I was the day after we bought it when I called with a question! I can see by the reviews on here that they don't care about their customers. I will not buy from here again, nor would I recommend it to others. Took my 36' Class A in for some work on Furnace and A/c units. Took them 8 weeks to do the repairs, however after 6 weeks setting in their lot, the catalytic converter was stolen. $8700.00 worth of damage and Paw Paws refused to take liability or responsibility for any part of it. They gave me a estimate to repair it, which was the $8700.00, but when I checked on the cost myself it was about $3250.00. So they would have made approx $5500.00 on the repair. They said that the parts were on backorder and would not be available for the foreseeable future and they wanted me to leave it there until the repairs were done. So at this point they have had my Motorhome for 8 weeks already and wanted me to leave it with them for an unspecified amount of time in an unfenced, no security lot. In the end, I took my Motorhome home after a few hundred dollar repair only to have a $8700.00 repair that I will have to take care of on my own. I DO NOT recommend you buy from them or take anything in for repairs. I honestly believe that this is a ripoff artist company. STAY AWAY........FAR AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Left our RV at Paw-Paw's (where we bought it) to repair a recurring water leak that was causing a bad smell and mold in one of the outside compartments. The service mgr said that we waited too long to report the leak so he had to charge us $1700 to fix it. We went to pick it up two weeks later and discovered that they had repaired the wrong compartment. Then when we looked around the inside of our RV before we left, we found that it had been burglarized. Missing flat screen TV, hair dryer, tools and more. We had reservations at an out of state campground in a couple days so we took the RV with the understanding that they would fix the compartment with the leak and that we would resolve the burglary incident when we got back. We dropped off the RV when we returned and when we picked it up two weeks later, they said they were not responsible for any burglaries to RV on their lot. Keep in mind...they have no fence around their lot and there's no security guard and the service mgr told me there are no security cameras that are high enough resolution to do any good. There was no sign of forced entry so either they failed to take the minimum amount of caution and lock my RV when they weren't working on it or else someone at the dealership was the perpetrator. The service manager said this has happened before so it's not as if they didn't have an indication of the problem. Paw-Paw's didn't offer me any consideration...reduce the cost of the repairs, give me a credit in their store...nothing. So if you bring your RV into Paw-Paw's for service, be aware that regardless of what happens to it while it's on their lot, they will not take responsibility for it. The total cost to replace the stolen items was probably around $300. By failing to cover (or at least offer to partially cover) the replacement cost of those items, Paw-Paw's has ensured that I will: 1. Never purchase another RV from them. 2. Never bring my RV into their dealership for repairs. 3. Post unflattering reviews on Yelp and other sites. 4. Share my experience with other RV-er friends. It seems like a bad business decision to me to forego thousands of dollars in future sales and service and generate much bad-will over this incident, but apparently that's Paw-Paw's philosophy. I would encourage you to consider other RV dealers when you are in the market for an RV. read more

Picking up our new Sonic camper this coming Friday. Chrissy was our sales person and we absolutely have no complaints. We first called to see if they had the camper we wanted and Chrissy found the camper and took pics to send to us. Had gone to another dealership closer to home but after we heard of fees for the battery, propane tanks, and a 1 hour class to work it we took our business elsewhere. Would never advise anyone to purchase an RV from Paw Paw Camper City, invested savings into a Class A RV, purchased extended warranty (which covers NOTHING) and have had electrical problems with the coach since ownership. At present the coach has been in the shop for 3 months and cannot get assistance from Paw Paws as to what their prior knowledge of the coach is or records to assist in the repair. Every time a call is placed we are told we will get a return call. Perhaps a little customer service training would benefit this establishment as opposed to the social media campaigning. WILL NEVER purchase again, nor can I recommend anyone take their monies and invest in a coach and/or camper read more

Great experience here. The salesman that helped us was named Michael Chuter and he was great to deal with. We are just looking which usually turns away most salesman but he ride us around and didn't try to pressure us at all. I can't speak for everyone that works there but our experience was above average to the other lots that we visited recently. I will be going back before we make a final decision on an RV. read more

We saw an ad on Craigslist for a 2017 camper. It was stated twice in the ad that it was a 2017. No mention of where, you have to call to find that out. That should have told us enough to stay away. We did call, found out it was Pawpaws and verified that the 2017 model advertised was still available. It said it was used twice but like new. We drove over an hour to look at a very used, dirty, moldy 2015. Oops, typo. Twice and on the phone. Original price just happened to be the same price as new 2017s are selling for but it was "marked down" This place is just shady all around. read more

We would NEVER recommend Paw Paws Camper City in Picayune Ms to anyone. When we got there all the way from Brandon Ms it had a major leak on back wall. So when it was delivered things were still wrong that we spoke to them about. All we wanted was the parts to fix it ourselves and 3 months later we still do not have them. When I called general manager Barry Harper he made it sound like he did us a favor by fixing leak to sell it. He said he would've sold it to someone that was not smart enough to find leak. I asked if he care about customers or was he there to make a dollar And he said to make a dollar. Plus my husband had to come back and fix part of their repair. The only reason I'm even giving ONE star, is because there is not option to not give ANY. Purchased a Keystone Cougar camper from Paw Paw's Camper City in May 2011. A beautiful used, 2010, lightly used. The salesman was a pleasure (but they all are when they are working commission right??). The finance guy pushed and sold a pricy 'extended warranty'. We have used the camper (4) times. The first time we used the camper we noticed that the rug in front of the kitchen sink was soaking wet - we FINALLY narrowed it down, to an extreme design flaw, where the outside stove (that folds out of the outside wall) has the gas hose feeding into the inside of the camper, this hole that the hose feeds into is drilled/formed like 1/2 inch from the bottom of the frame of the folding stove, which dependant on the angle of the camper, when it rains (because the gasket is not tight) water may build and once collected PAST the hose hole (feeding into the camper) will leak INTO THE CAMPER....now warping the particle wood on the inside of the cabinets (and the cabinet area meeting the floor). We last used during Thanksgiving 2011 holiday...which brought rain...one would think not good, but this uncovered other leakage that would not be otherwise found while stored. Brought to Paw Paw's Camper City for repairs (1) fix issue with external stove leaking into the trailer via the manufacturers flawed design (2) leaking around both of the door windows (3) a valve on the hot water heater leaking onto the floor (4) when leaving the campground last the ENTIRE underbelly of the camper was filled with water, like a filled balloon, due to leakage from under the shower. The wonderful 'extended warranty' purchased did not cover 95% of this. Paw Paw's Camper City never called to update us on progress or status. We called NUMEROUS times leaving messages, only to have calls returned when my husband got irate (why would it take getting to this point). After much fuss, Paw Paw's Camper City said they would deliver it (which they called and changed about 4 times)....today, they were on their way to deliver this morning, when my husband received a phone call from a friend - and a wacky weird coincidence that LITERALLY our friend almost wrecked into our camper on his way to work, because the driver ran a redlight with our camper in tow!!!!! Only to have the camper delivered with BOTH of our propane tanks gone, the handle on the back door gone, the underbelly was NEVER removed to be dried out (and probably never FIXED for that matter). Detailing that was promised was not done. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Do you homework....once they have your money, there is no other reason for them to care about you . We plan to seek legal action. read more

i will never recommend to ANYONE to buy from PawPaw's! we were screwed over big time. our sales man was so pushy and pretty much wanted us to buy that day. we bought a BRAND new Zinger with being told that from sitting so long some things were wrong and that they would fix it. so now that we bough it in november it its now may and it has been in their repair shop 5 times. the camper has failed us both times that we have taken it camping. All of the other time it has been at pawpaws being worked on. now that the manufacturer has deemed it a LEMON. pawpaw's is giving us so much trouble getting us in a new one. they are trying to get us to pay more for the new camper. this is the nightmare of my life. as if it doesnt make it any worse, we cleaned out all of our belongings from the camper today and there were mushrooms growing in the master bedroom! I HIGHLY advise NOT to buy from Paw paws camper city. In the past 4 years id bought 2 campers ,traded them in and finally purcheased a motor home from them. I had to bring it in to their service department several times with minor problems. Almost EVERYTIME i got motorhome back either problem was not 100% fixed or all problems were NOT addressed and worse yet things were not COMPLETELY put back together as it was supposed to be. I was patiant and understanding ( feeling like a fool now though) up until last visit. I had moter on slideout repaired and was called to pick it up. work was done. when evaluateing work i discovered molding NOT put back on under slide and the worse was rubber gasket on inside of slide dangleing and NOT 100% fastened back with a risk of water getting inside. I became angry at that time had a few words with worker that worked on it and advised that i did not want HIM touching it again. Left motorhome there to be put back together properly. I recieved a rude call from Paw paws service manager ( Barry ) and he went on to tell me i had no right to be upset and i had no right to cuss his employees( which NEVER happened!!!!!! His emplowee lied to throw the monkey off his back and make me out to be bad guy and Barry took his side) I am now boycotting indefinately and detering anyone and everyone away from them. I have successfully detered one friend that recently went and bought a new allegro motorhome from Berryland in hammond area and he said he had the best experiance there. i also just turned a friend in another direction that was looking at a used auto at paw paws. after i explained and showed him my problems id had with them He also avoided them. There are a few key people at paw paws that ARE nice persons. But the dealership itself and their service technitions and manager ( Barry ) really sucks ! and there s No one to go over Barry's head becouse he is the son-in-lay to paw paw himself ( dub herring) From what i'm told Dub Herring bailed him ( Barry ) out of a failed dealership he had ( Go figure that ) and gave him a job. Terrible place. We bought a camper from this place last year. Brought it in for very minor repairs and after 2 weeks all we got from service dept were excuses and lies. We were also in the process of upgrading so we figured we would give them a shot while they "worked on our camper. " We ended up finding a much better deal somewhere else and were treated rotten after that. We needed to pick up our camper to trade it in and they said(after 3 weeks) that it wasnt ready. We said no problem Dads campers said we could drop it off on trade as is and we could have parts shipped to them. We called paw paws service dept to make them aware we would be picking it up the following day, manager asks where we were trading it in(as if it was his business). Anyway, we picked it up and it had a flat tire. We informed them of this and their response was somebody was using the compressor right now. Itll be about 30 minutes. The inside of the camper was untouched and not worked on at all. Except for them removing the tv antenna and leaving a gaping hole in the roof and ceiling. They did this that morning. Yep! Straight through the roof to outside. Why wouldnt they have left the old one on there? Because it was going to rain!!! Absolute jerks!!! Save your time and money. Go somewhere else! We drove it away with a flat tire and hole in the roof to Dads down the street. They gave us full trade value on our old unit and a great deal on the new one. I went to Paw Paws RV with the intention of buying a pop up and camp this weekend.I ended up buying a 2010 Flagstaff and felt that I got a good deal after a lot of back and forth.It was strange that they couldn't do financing under 10k,so I went to bank myself and got loan the same day .As part of the deal, considering that it was a preowned camper, I wanted a few things checked before I left with it. All put in writing. Check tire pressure ,fridge ,battery, wash camper ,fill gas bottle etc..before driving 45 miles home .It was around 5:00 on Friday when I handed them bank check .At that point I was cut loose being told everybody was gone .I didn't even have lights on camper.(needed adapter for plug).Also the salesman, he a nice guy but knew nothing about popups and nobody showed me how things worked. When I got to camp site,the battery was dead so the electric roof lift wouldn't work. So I read owners manual and was self-taught how to set up. Still no lights .Before I left dealership,the salesman broke the plastic tag bracket putting on a paper tag. He said he would mail me one....we'll see..Looks like you can get a deal with standing your ground but don't expect much more. 7-25-14 read more
