Mika has been going to Elise for years (even before Paw Vivant opened), and we completely trust her with Mika. Mika is naturally very shy and slow to warm up, but Elise was so patient with her from the start that now Mika gets so excited to see her and always has a blast. I also really appreciate the updates throughout the day with photos and videos. It gives me peace of mind. I'll admit, I don't love the location (things like broken glass in the nearby parking lot and what looks like an unoccupied home next door with boarded-up windows), but once you're inside Paw Vivant, it's a completely different story. We found a place we can trust to board Shadow, an Australian Shepherd. Elise had been amazing throughout the whole process. First, we scheduled a meet and greet and later scheduled a one-night boarding stay trial. Shadow did well and already didn't want to leave the place! We decided to book 12 days boarding so we could leave for a vacation. One night before we left, Shadow started to limp! We took Shadow to the veterinarian and were given medications for muscle pain. We informed Elise, and she was understanding and followed the instructions for medication, monitored his condition, and limited his physical activity as the veterinarian instructed. Every day while we were on vacation, we received a report card on how Shadow was doing along with pictures, and I could tell how much fun Shadow had when he was there. My husband and I thankfully found Elise on Rover in 2023. At the time, we didn't trust anybody with our fur babies but we inevitably needed somebody to watch them while we went on a vacation. Probably one of the best decisions i've ever made was booking with Elise. We honestly couldn't imagine trusting anyone else with our dogs now. From the very beginning she has been incredibly attentive and communicative. She sends frequent updates (but will minimize the updates per request), photos, and videos so we always know how our pups are doing, which gives us so much peace of mind when we're away. Our dogs absolutely love her, and it's obvious she genuinely cares about them like they're her own. What started as boarding at her home has now grown into a full business, she followed her dream! The space is beautiful and very clean. She has a dog shower station, two rooms with multiple crates, a gated play area, and even a makeshift backyard with turf so the dogs have a safe place to run around and play. Booking is super simple using the Gingr app- and on there she'll update report cards to let us know how they're doing. She always goes the extra mile with little touches too. She sends the dogs home with cute goodie bags that include treats and a Polaroid photo, which we love keeping. She has also bathed and groomed our dogs while they stayed with her. They can be a little sassy during shower and drying but she does amazing! One thing we really appreciate is how thoughtful she is about the dogs' care. She always checks with owners before giving any extra treats, and she has helped administer medication for our dogs when needed. There was even a time when both of our dogs needed extra medical attention and close observation, and she handled everything calmly and responsibly. That level of trust means a lot to us. She's also super accommodating with special requests. After one of our longer vacations, we asked if she could film our dogs' reaction when they saw us again, and she made sure to capture the whole moment. If you're looking for someone who is responsible, communicative, and truly loves the dogs she watches, we can't recommend her enough. Our dogs get the zoomies when we say Elise's name. WE LOVE PAWVIVANT!!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pawvivant and Elise. Before finding them, my dogs had not been doing well at other boarding facilities. We boarded our energetic little 8 lb yorkie mix at Paw Vivant for a week while we were out of town. It's really hard leaving our fur baby since he's with me all the time. We have been boarding our Maltese, Musubi, with Elise since 2023, and she is truly the best pet sitter we have ever come across. We tried many sitters on Rover before finding her, and none even come close. Musubi was a pandemic puppy and had pretty bad separation anxiety early on. He was also a little aggressive and anxious around other dogs. Thanks to Elise's patience, care, and experience, he is now a completely different dog. Whenever we pick him up, he is happy, calm, and well adjusted. We were so shocked when she sent us videos of him happily playing with big dogs! He even gets visibly excited when he realizes we are about to drop him off with her, which says everything. Elise goes above and beyond in her care. She sends frequent photo updates and always lets us know how he is doing, whether he is eating well, getting along with other dogs, going on walks, and even how his potty breaks are going. Sometimes she will groom him before we pick up him after a long trip, and he comes back looking and smelling fresh with trimmed nails, a cute haircut, and tear stains gone (a struggle for white dogs). It gives us so much peace of mind when we are away. Her new commercial facility, Paw Vivant, is absolutely beautiful. The space is spotless and thoughtfully designed. It honestly feels like a bed and breakfast for dogs, I almost want to stay there myself. There is a great outdoor turf area for playtime, and the overnight rooms are spacious with air conditioning and security cameras so you know your dog is safe and comfortable. Knowing there will also be overnight staff makes it even more reassuring. I truly cannot recommend Elise and Paw Vivant enough. There is a reason she has so many repeat clients. We have been boarding our dog Pepper with Elise since 2024. Pepper takes time to warm up to new people and new dogs, but Elise has been so kind and patient with him :) He's always so excited when he sees her. Since our dog gets anxious in new environments, we were understandably nervous about leaving him. To help him adjust, we scheduled three daycare visits so he could become familiar with the routine and the staff could get to know him. After observing him during those visits, Elise took the time to discuss his needs with us and offered thoughtful recommendations to make his boarding experience as comfortable as possible. I wanted to see what this place offers being that their day camp is $75/day (which is insane in this economy) Since they could not return my calls or texts, I thought maybe driving by to their location I can retrieve my own information. What a risk to do so!!!! I wish I didn't ! I had my 2 year old toddler and 1 year old puppy drive by to only find this location in the slums of Fremont. Very misleading photos, it's a shack in a grimy parking lot, next to a drug house. People outside hanging out look very scary. Nope- my fur baby will NEVER come here, especially overnight. Wish Paw Vivant did better on chosing a location, such a scummy filthy area in Fremont that I didn't even know existed. My dog Lexi turned one in Nov 2025 and I had never left her before for more than a few hours and it was always with family. I decided to go on a last minute trip and found Elise and her family on Yelp. Within minutes of inquiring about their services, I got a thorough and warm response and decided to meet Elise later that day to see how my dog reacted to her and vice versa. From the minute we pulled up, it was such a positive experience. The place is cute, clean, and feels like home away from home. Elise spent time showing us around and explained every detail of what we could expect. My dog immediately took to her and I felt good knowing I'd be leaving Lexi is good hands while away. We returned the next morning to drop Lexi off and I had zero worries leaving her. While away, we received tons of pictures showing Lexi cuddling with Elise's mom (I'm calling her Lexi's second Grandma now) and updates on how she was doing. They even took her to the park which I did not expect. She was more than well taken care of and it gave me such peace of mind that I was able to fully focus on my trip. Paw Vivant did a great job taking care of my 11years old puppy. She usually doesn't do well around other dogs but Elise has the knowledge and experience to encourage safe and healthy socialization. They kept me posted about how she was doing throughout the day with messages and photos which kept me relaxed. I was really happy to see my puppy doing well with other dogs! Also, extra points keeping the place nice and tidy! No bad smell, very clean and the customer area is actually quite silent! They probably have really good soundproof for the customer area and not being greeted with dozen of loud barks when I go there to me at least is a plus. (I visited other daycares in Fremont before only to find someone with a greasy T-shirt opening the door and see dogs kept randomly in a smelly dark warehouse! -- but not here).
