Could not have gone smoother! I'd also like to add that they were available with very short notice (3 other pet sitting companies were unable to handle our request). Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). The sitters vary but all are enthusiastic based on the reports they leave. After every visit the sitter leaves a note of when they came and left and what they did. They also usually text us an update and a picture of our birds. We come back to a stack of reports. The sitter stays a while after the food, water, and paper are changed to make sure the birds aren't acting weird, and I hear that some singing goes on. We've never had a problem and have be accommodated at very short notice when we want to go away for the weekend. I highly recommend this company. 1/27/20 Update: Just used them again during a ten day trip to Hawaii. I'm pretty sure our birds are in love with Alex, who came for most oF the visits. They found a bucket in the house and put it under the drips, called me, and sent a video to my phone. When I landed I was able to schedule a plumber right away to meet me at the house. By having the bucket in place they prevented untold damage to the kitchen and basement. They've been easy to schedule and work with and respond quickly to e-mails. When I come home my little dude is always happy, well fed, and has plenty of water in his dish. If I wasn't moving far away, I'd definitely continue using their service. My initial call was returned quickly, and Joelyne was friendly, professional, and enthusiastic about meeting my dog. She was timely in sending the onboarding paperwork, and completing the set-up was easy. She set up a Zoom call (since my request for service was only 2 days away), and "met" me and my dog virtually. It was perfect. Every day while I was away, one of Prance Around's team members showed up during my specified window and walked my dog for 45 minutes. I received a custom walk report via email every day following the walk, and it usually included pictures. I LOVE that feature! While on vacation, a family member became critically ill and required hospitalization immediately upon our return to the US. I was able to email Prance Around and extend service for an additional week without any problems. Our service commitment ended, and only a few short days later, my family member was back in the hospital. With only a day's notice, I was able to contact Prance Around and get my dog back on their schedule. No hassles. No problems. Joelyne and her crew are incredibly kind, generous, and empathetic. It has been such a relief to know that I can call on them to take care of my girl and not have any worries. When we picked him up afterwards he was happy and worn out, and the staff all said "Bye Ted!" on the way out. Overall, great experience for a dog owner and my happy boy. I found Fussy Gussy Pet Sitting online and set up a meet-and-greet. Lindsay and Julie came to the house and were so friendly, professional (and punctual!), and obviously cat-lovers. I am a super anxious/paranoid cat mom and just the meet-and-greet alone made me actually feel comfortable with leaving the cats. While I was away, I got text message updates on the cats (and some pictures) during every single scheduled visit. The update let me know that they were okay, eating well, got their meds, etc. I never had to worry about the cats for the entirety of my vacation. When I finally arrived home, the cats were happy and healthy as if I had never left. My mail had been collected and my plants taken care of too. I was also left written report cards for every single visit by the sitter that went over each visit in greater detail. It is safe to say that I will be using Fussy Gussy Pet Sitting in the future. Your pets will be well taken care of and your home secure. They are clearly animal lovers and professionals. if i could rate negative stars i would!! this place is where we used to take my shihztu to get…read moregroomed. my family was dealing with a lot at this time, so they never went ahead and took legal action. in april 2023, we took my dog there for his haircut. when he was back home we realized he was pretty sleepy and he took a nap. later that day when he woke up, his eye was red and swollen, which he would not open. we took him to the vet, they said his cornea detached! after weeks and weeks of eye drops around the clock and many bills later, the vet did a swab test which showed the cells in his eye were rejecting the medication! he ended up having to get his eye removed... i was absolutely appalled at the response from this establishment stating "he seemed fine when he left, maybe he jumped off the couch at home and scratched his eye." and basically gaslighting me on the phone rejecting all responsibility.. when all i wanted to know was what happened to him!!! yeah, well how else would my dog get a CHEMICAL BURN IN HIS EYE AFTER THE GROOMERS!! do not send your dogs here, they do not care about your fur baby especially AFTER they send them back home with a swollen eye! and you're probably wondering why i am just now writing this 3 years later. it's because i want others to be AWARE of how they handle pets and will deny any harm caused to them.
