I love this place! We live in Utah but occasionally come down to vegas. THIS IS MY FAVORITE GROOMER! You don't even compare to Utah groomers. Reasonable prices for SUPERB grooming. My dog always comes back with such a beautiful wash and cut. Utahns apparently don't know how to cut and use all the tools without charging up the a** for it. Thanks for being #1. Today was not a good grooming experience for my Pom-chi while being groomed at "Grooming by Darcy". My husband and I, requested that the groomer not trim any hair on my dogs beautiful coat except his paws and anal area. As my husband collected our dog, we found that the groomer trimmed the full length of his body on his back, and rib cage very noticeably. His fur was no longer soft and luxurious, it was short and brassy, resembling split ends. We called the business to communicate with Ms. Carly (manager) she stated that her groomer did not trim any areas that she wasn't suppose to trim. My husband and l knew for a fact that our dog's coat had definitely been trimmed. I kept the conversation very respectful... However, Ms. Carly, or the groomer would not take responsibility for the mis-hap...that does not set well with my husband and I. Because of their failure to simply take responsibility and offer an apology at the very least...we will no longer conduct business with "Grooming by Darcy", or refer their business to others. Hopefully my dog's hair will grow back to it's original luxurious state, and we will have learned from this very uncomfortable un-aesthetic experience with "Grooming by Darcy". read more

The owner Darcy was phenomenal but her staff is terrible rude and disgusting to talk too. They always have a bad mood they tell you to bring in your dog but they ask you to pick up before their stated Hours of operation, because they want to go home early. I asked to pick up my dog by noon or 2:45 because I have work, they said they decline my business because they didn't want to stay so late. Drop off time was scheduled for 10 AM, I had been taking my babies to them since 2009. I found a new great spot right around the corner from them the owner is who sees the dogs personally and she grooms them herself she is wonderful! CAUTION!!! I have had the WORST experience with this salon. I called this am to see if they had a last minute opening and if they could take my dogs. They have been there before, never a fantastic warm welcoming but reasonable price and for the most part a good job. I also told them my schedule as to when I could drop and pick up due to an apt on the other side of town. They agreed to allow me to bring them in at 11 and I made it clear on the phone I could not get there till 2:30 to pick up. Which I was told "we just don't want to be waiting around for you because we aren't busy) however she said it would be fine. I arrived promptly at 11 to drop dogs. I was greeted with sour faces and the only thing they said was "can't you come any sooner"? No welcome for my dogs...nothing. I was the "inconvenience". I let it go because I called last minute...told them I would leave apt as soon as I could. My husband was able to get them last minute so he was there within 30 minutes of them calling to say dogs were ready. I just got home and noticed that one of my dogs have been cut on her paw. She was licking it and I looked down to see red blood coming out in between her toes. Def a good size nick. This was not disclosed at all when my husband picked up. This place is extremely unprofessional and needless to say I would not recommend to anyone. Pay the extra to go somewhere else. I feel that the way they treated me was a direct reflection on how they treated my girls. I have been a customer for over 10 years! Grooming by Darcy is a very friendly and attentive place to bring your pooches. I hate when my dogs have to be at the groomers all day, but at Grooming by Darcy they are only there for a couple hours. This is a great benefit for my two pups. Besides the great service, they are the best price in town. I have a Shih Tzu and a doodle mix of some sort and for a full service groom, I just paid $100 for both of them! We have been here only 3 times for our 2 doggies. The first 2 times they had the same lady and she did an okay job. The third time, we thought we would have that same lady again, but were informed that she wasn't there when we got there. The owner said she would be grooming them. So this was Friday the 8th and one of my boys hasn't been able to walk normally since (today is the 13th). He booty has been red since the 8th. I believe either she harshly did his anal glands, and/or shaved him way to short and maybe cut him. My poor baby can't even walk normally because he's in so much pain. Will not be back. read more

I've taken all my dogs here since 2021. A chow chow, white German shepherd, and a Rottweiler. I've ONLY used wash services and never had my dogs trimmed. I had no idea they were butchering so many dogs (read the other reviews ) and now I wish I had never continued to patronize the store. My complaint stems from CARLY purchasing the business several years ago. When I asked her if Darcy still owned the store, she lied and said, she did. I brushed it off, figuring she was trying to keep business. Carly has always been brusque, she is in the WRONG business, because she is NOT familiar with how to treat customers whatsoever. She kept the prices the same UNTIL COVID, that was her first increase. A month ago, December 2023, she informed me prices were going up again. Now she's charging $60-$65 for just a bath, because "everyone else" is. She receives a rotten review for the following reasons: First off, $60+ is OUTRAGEOUS for a dog shampoo. Second, this store is tiny! She is not paying the same rent as "everyone else." Third, the BIGGEST reason, this shop is CASH ONLY, and has been for over 20 years. This means Darcy and now Carly don't report all of their earnings to the IRS. If you're a tax cheat, don't expect your customers to pay the same rate as a legitimate business' customers. Fourth, this shop hasn't seen any upgrades since Darcy epoxied the floors about 10-12 years ago. It's tired, dingy, and dirty. Everything in this place is the same as it was in 2021 - ZERO upgrades or investment. So why is she raising the prices? I guarantee her staff aren't getting a raise. I have seen some of the behaviors other reviewers mentioned. They don't love dogs, they do love money. They have left dogs unattended on tables. Some of the staff look like they're on prison work release programs. I have big dogs, so I didn't have all the problems other customers have had, but I regret not being more selective and leaving a long time ago. Carly has never been overly friendly and in fairness to other reviewers who complained about appointments and how long dogs are kept - it's all true. The shop advertises WALK-INS WELCOME, so one does not necessarily need an appointment. I learned a long time ago to request my dog be first in and first out, because I had waited over 6 hrs in the past for my pup. No matter how early I had to be there, I made sure they bathed my boy first and called me immediately to pick him up. I am now taking my boys to Tractor Supply and washing them myself for $9.99, which includes shampoo, conditioner and drying options. I know my boys are enjoying our extra time together and it's really easy to keep my boys clean; now I can wash them more frequently. Carly's "karma" is coming soon, and I would recommend finding another grooming option. UPDATE: CARLY'S reply is NUTZ. I don't have a lab and never have. I've never been a walk-in since Carly bought the place, as I stated in my original post, I called in advance so my boy was first in, first out. "AFFORDING" is not the same as, a joint that is outdated OVERCHARGING. Sue me if my claims are false. We'll let the IRS be the final judge. I'm in the legal field and 100% confident I'm not the one breaking the law. DEFLECT DEFLECT DEFLECT. If you want to take your loved babies here, that's a personal choice. read more

September 03, 2020 Today was our second time coming here. This shop is great! They take very good care of my girl Toni and always put pretty bows in her hair with a matching bandana. It takes me over 35 minutes to get here but hubby and I agree it is worth the drive for the work they do and what they charge. It is Covid-19 era and masks are required in the shop, but they are all super friendly and have taken very good care of my girl and myself as I wait. read more

I spoke to a manager as I am a first time dog owner. Having plenty of options I went with my friends recommendation as she highly spoke about this venue. Unfortunately, the manager didn't give me a response that I was expecting. She mentioned they don't enjoy doing golden doodle dogs as they are difficult. When asking about prices it's almost like she was making them up in her mind. She was very per·sua·sive to convince me not to bring my dog there! I have been coming here a while now and I'm so upset with the service I will never go back .I have 3 poms one is only 4 lb and I have one maltipoo they did a hack job on them all it looks like my granddaughter took scissors to them they're just so choppy uneven, and they look ugly. I been bringing my dogs to Grooming by Darcy loyally for I believe over 7 years (probably closer to 9 years, when I think back on it). I continued to go even when they over charged me, changed prices on me multiple times, cut my dog and tried to cover up the blood with a white film. However, over the years it has just gotten worse, and this place is horrible now all around. My dogs cuts have always been just semi-ok. One time they even cut my dog in 3 spots and tried to cover it up with some sort of white film. They never cut the fur smooth, and it looks like a choppy hack job, as you can see in the picture. Honestly, the loyalty might have been more on my husbands side, because I wanted to stop going to Grooming by Darcy a long time ago. Especially, since 3 more groomers opened up near me. Today Grooming by Darcy gave me a reason to never go back. My bad review is because the people in there have always been rude, but I let it go. Yet today they called me twice within 15 minutes to rush me to pick up my dogs (without giving me a time estimate prior), and didn't even introduce themselves. The manager of the shop, I assume, called rudely with attitude, rushing me, and when I said, "who is this, you should introduce yourself," she hung up. When I got to Grooming by Darcy I mentioned that it is unprofessional to call without introduce your place of business. One of the employees replied that it wasn't her. From the back I heard (probably the manger) yelling, "did you get the money", and when the employee said "yeah", the manager/owner started yelling at me to get the "F" out. I still was in the process of putting my dog's leashes on. I asked for a complaint number, and she started insulting me and my appearance. I know my health has caused my appearance to change over these last 7+ loyal years that I have been taking my dogs to Grooming by Darcy, yet I never been insulted as I was today by assumingely the owner or manager. She started insulting my appearance and swearing at me from behind the wall where I couldn't even see her face. She unprofessionally yelled at me, throwing out "F" bombs as I tried to leash up my dogs. So long story short, the reviews on Facebook are faked, this is why on yelp this place only has 3 stars. If you feel like going into a place with bad energy, be rudely stocked on the phone, and have your dogs come out with hack job cuts, then this is the place for you. read more

Although I don't have dogs who need regular grooming any more, I have had different pets groomed there over the past 20 years. I was originally referred to them because they do cats. I used to get my long hair cat groomed there when he got matted. They did a beautiful job! They also bathed my Australian cattle dog and helped with her shedding. My son is taking his husky there now and they work wonders with him. He's a big (100lb) dog with tons of hair which gets matted in places. The prices are very, very reasonable and they always get done early in the day so your dog isn't there all day. I highly recommend! read more
