I had a gold bracelet I wanted to sell, so before I went into this pawn shop, I weighed the…read morebracelet myself and looked online to get a rough estimate on how much scrap gold was going for at that time. ​Based off the online price of scrap gold at the time and the weight of my bracelet, the bracelet was worth $300.00 I knew that the pawn shops price for scrap gold would be less than the online price, so I used the online price just ​for a rough estimate to keep in mind. ​I went into the pawn shop and spoke to the guy behind the counter for a few minutes, and I'm assuming the few questions I asked him about gold gave him the impression that I didn't really know anything about it. Which is true, I don't know anything about it at all, except for the scrap value of it online. T​he guy offered me $150 for it and told me ​they offer 10 to 15% less than standard scrap value because of the time it takes them to prepare gold to be scrapped , I told him that when I looked online at scrap gold price and ran the numbers, the bracelet is worth around $300. He proceeded to tell me that the most he can give me for it is $150.00 I was going to accept it because I needed the money, but when I handed him my driver's license to finish the deal, he reminded me that my license was expired and I would need to come back in with a valid form of ID to go through with the deal. ​All and all, my driver's license being expired that day kept me from losing out on $100.00 because a few days later I went out to a gold buyer in sequim and he offered me $250.00 for the exact same bracelet!!

About a week ago I had a firearm shipped to your shop for transfer. Earlier today while I was working out in downtown Edmonds, I received a call from your store letting me know that my firearm had arrived and that I could come in anytime today to start the transfer process. Because I was excited to get the process going (10 day hold) and had been waiting for it to arrive, I actually stopped my workout immediately and drove over. It's about a 30-minute drive for me to get to your shop since I chose your store over others that are closer to me because your transfer pricing is better. However, when I arrived around 1:00 PM, the door was locked with a sign saying "At lunch, be back at 2 PM." What made this frustrating is that the call I received earlier was around 12:30 PM, and at no point during that call was it mentioned that the shop would be closed for an hour shortly after (I told them I'd see them soon today and and they told me "see you in a bit!"). If I had known that the store would be closed until 2:00 PM, I simply would have planned my trip differently or come later in the afternoon. Instead, I ended up driving 30 minutes only to sit in the parking lot for an hour (literally 58minutes) waiting for the store to reopen. Because of the distance, it doesn't make sense for me to drive back home and then return again. I completely understand that staff need lunch breaks, and that's not the issue. The frustration comes from being told I could come "anytime today" without being informed that the shop would actually be closed for a period of time shortly after the call. A simple mention during the call like, "You can come today, but we're stepping out for lunch from 1pm until 2 PM," would have avoided the entire situation and allowed me to plan accordingly. I chose to have the transfer done at your shop even though it's farther away because of the pricing, but in this case the extra time and inconvenience ended up outweighing the savings. I just wanted to share this feedback because better communication could prevent this kind of situation for future customers. I'll will say they are very friendly tho and the process was relatively easy.

Their buy back program has completely changed, charging nearly triple interest rates, they used to empathize with people about buying back forfeited items and now it's only about filling the companies pockets. Do yourself a favor and go to the one near 185th, the gentlemen in there are extremely nice and will offer you double whatever this store does. This location just needs to close because it's clearly cursed.
