Even though I hadn't ever walked into their shop, they didn't even know who I was, and I had not bought anything from them at that time... they still treated me with the utmost respect. Because of this awesome interaction, I've been saving up to pick up my dream pistol, and I WILL be ordering through Private Sector Arms. Not just because of their respectful, and knowledgeable service reps... but the fact that they are an authorized dealer for many manufacturers including Magnum Research, and Kimber (if memory serves me right). If they place the order, you can save on an FFL transfer fee as you would occur if you purchase a gun off gunbroker...etc. Also, their added integrity, knowing that they inspect each and every firearm thoroughly when a shipment arrives... rest assured your firearm will come out looking fresh. One of the many benefits of ordering thru a responsible and organized FFL such as Private Sector (and not a big box retailer such as Sportmans lol...yea I bash on Sportsman's a lot)

A good surplus store has a well stocked surplus of military gear, some new stuff and general outdoors type of stuff. This place had it all from sleeping bag military systems, to general TA50, tents, knives etc.... Good place to to get your outdoor gear, rucksack, bags, all necessities. Whats cool they even have a good assortment of flashlights. Great place with good service and knowledgeable staff. In my browsing I actually found a real light weight travel sleeping bag system that is waterprooof. Heading down in the next day to pick it up.

I took my pistol to another local shop (way more professional and welcoming, I wont say who BUT there's a great taco spot next to it) and they were able to help me right on the spot and got it done in 20 mins with respect. He told us to move and claimed he "owns the lot" and that only half is for the restaurant. Meanwhile, his side was half empty -- multiple open spots -- and he's out there acting like a parking enforcer for no reason other than to be difficult. It was aggressive, unnecessary, and honestly just a terrible first impression. If this is how businesses around here treat potential customers, I'd rather spend my money somewhere else. It is a bit costly but I would say it worth the price if you come regularly. It's also a great option for me as it includes the rental fees and I'd like to try different guns each time. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. One small thing to mention: They do provide shotguns for rental but the only standard option is KS7, which is cool if it's not jamming. I went to rent it twice and it both jammed. Staffs are nice as they switched Benelli M4 to me which was intended to be a "premium" rental. Would be nicer if they also provide 590/870/any other pump-action shotguns as standard options in the future. Apart from that, there's nothing I can complain. There was a time I went to the range with a friend who's shooting for the first time. Chris was very helpful and provides my friend with a quick but through intro and some other helps. For the shop: Great service. There's a young staff who is really friendly and helpful. No one would push you to make decisions here (which I like it) but you can always find helps if needed.
