The couple that owns the shop however, is a totally different story. They are only friendly with some customers. If you don't look like them, you probably aren't getting the friendly treatment and you will be ignored for a while until eventually they have no choice other than address you. They want to sell everything at MSRP and complain about anyone looking for a good market price. They will literally scold you if something doesn't go their way. If at least they were truly nice to all customers and actually friendly and reasonable, then this last part would be no big deal, but they aren't so it doesn't help that they have a large warehouse, yet the customer section is a tiny ugly showroom that looks like it's run by a 90 year old that lost their will to keep an organized and well presented store front. To the owners, would it kill you to greet everyone when they come into your store? Almost every time I go, you ignore me. I have literally stood there for five minutes and you have to buzz everyone into that tiny front lobby. Sometimes when the place is empty you actually say hello, but even then you just ignore me and I actually buy stuff from you or at least I used to until got tired of everything stated above.

Avoid Gold and Bags Pawn Shop -- Untrustworthy and Unprofessional…read more I had a very disturbing experience with Gold and Bags Pawn Shop that I feel obligated to share. I submitted a Rolex watch through their online form and was contacted by someone named Taylor, who began texting me nonstop -- even on a Sunday -- urging me to bring the watch in. We scheduled an appointment, but when I arrived, he wasn't there. After a delay, he eventually showed up. When I asked him directly how much they were offering for the watch, he refused to give me a straight answer, only repeating that he wanted to buy it. It felt evasive and unprofessional -- classic high-pressure, bait-and-switch tactics. When I decided to leave, things took a disturbing turn. He refused to open the door. I had to raise my voice to demand that they let me out -- which is not only unacceptable, but also potentially illegal. This was a complete waste of time and an extremely uncomfortable experience. I will be reporting this business to the appropriate authorities and warning others: Do not trust this place.

I spoke to the guy told him how much it meant to me that there are photos of my dead father and the birth of my daughter on my laptop. It means the world to me. But I had personal issues to deal with. It was understood and overstood, a month later I called because I didn't have the funds to take it out. He told me I would have to pay $60 to extend it and that he would put a note on the laptop. I been in the hospital right after that. Called today since yesterday was Christmas. He said today they finally put it out and it still here so when I was discharged from the hospital I came straight over. When I got to the desk, the guy told me by the way the computer was set to factory settings. Honestly, I can't even write anymore because my heart is so broken. I cried in the store on the way to the pharmacy and driving to my house. I'm crying right now. Because at this point I don't even need the laptop I needed those memories. I still paid the $70 but Apple is telling me they might not be able to get it back because the iPhoto folder on the Mac is different from photos on your phone to backup to a cloud. All I can think about is just reuniting with my dad. I'm such at a lost. This company has shattered my spirit and my world.

Let me tell Lucky Pawn had a lot of them in all varieties, sorts and sizes; and at reasonable prices too. Going to a pawn shop or a thrift store is always such and adventure. Looking for the least used least damaged goods is so much like the difficulty I have trying to find a date in a Wilton Manors gay bar......errrrh, maybe I shouldn't have put it that way. But here it was different. The clerks at Lucky Pawn are really honest with no hustle or puffing. They tell you what it is, and let the item sell itself to you. For example I had a question about a long throw bolt action rifle I saw. He told me what caliber it was and then said, but the scope on it is really so cheaply made you'd have to get a new one. I had already known that as from experience and just by looking at it. I could tell it was a forty some dollar Tasco when decent scopes like Zeiss and Swarovski only start at over $1,000. Though I already knew it, I really appreciated his upfront honesty in telling me about that. Not that many pawn shop people do, which is what makes me a fan of Lucky Pawn.
