I came looking for a Mother's Day gift and it's by my work. My wife wanted an Apple Watch. I found one I was interested in and asked the employee if it was locked. I was told he personally wiped the device and it was not locked. Took it home and gave it to her early to ensure it was in fact not locked. Turns out it was, so employee either lied to me or doesn't know what they are doing. Had to drive 45 minutes to return within the 24 hour window they take returns. I tried to get my money back since they lied to me but they only give store credit per policy. So I had to support a business whose employee lies to get a sale or is incompetent. Thankfully they had silver so I can recoup some of my money at the ridiculous premium they sell junk for but that's another story. I can't with some of these reviews. I had a great experience here! The gentleman with the red hair, Steele, was incredible. He was very fair, honest, as well as entertaining. It made the selling process less awkward by being able to have conversation and joke around. It was also very impressive how knowledgeable he is on everything. He was helping other staff break down the cost of gold and all sorts of things. If you have a bad experience here, I might suggest looking at your behavior. Once you buy something from them there is no refunds and products are sold "as is".. Did not tell the sales person what I was looking to get for it just needed to sell it and see what I would get for it. Beware!!!! Beware!!! If your reading this you might be looking to pawn an article, in need of emergency cash. In which case I'm not sure this will be of much help. I do think you should know what your getting. If you are a musician, have a piece of gear, you need to pawn, KNOW THIS, if it is nice, the staff will be using it. Yes, they will tell you it doesn't happen at our store.. DON"T believe it!!! They will great you with a warm assuring smile, " your item is safe with us"... no , no its not. : ( I was in need of cash, (family loss). I pawned 3 vintage neuman microphones. The first time I did so. There was no problem. the Second time, YIKES!!! I first noticed they couldn't find two of my microphones. Hummm... how is this possible. (CARTONS WERE BOTH OPENED) On inspection the 'body's' of the mics were checked,(scratched and dinged.) Interesting because the manager and I had both inspected them on arrival with no such damage. When I discovered this, I didn't say anything at first. They still had yet another microphone in there possession. I quickly gathered the money to get the third unit. Too late... sadly... it too have being used. So, I ran tests on all 3 units. 2 of the capsals are damaged, only 1 survived. I brought this to the managers attention, he said next time 'I'll put them in the safe" , Really??? He said he had seen all types of things by employees,... ya, so where dose that leave me? two damaged original microphones that came in in pristine condition, now leaving damaged. If you are leaving anything you hope to see again, forget this company. Looking at the reviews of others I can see I am not alone. There are other pawn shops out there. If enough of us go to them maybe we can begin to shut these guys down. I hope my review helps someone who was unsure as to what you can expect from this company. Ordered a camera rated at "Very Good" from Pawn1st via the Buya website. While the camera was NOT very good, I find it frustrating that they bothered to take a detailed photo of minor nicks on an edge while not showing the gauging of the LCD screen in the back (highly visible once the screen is turned on) or the extensive denting on the lens area or, in fact, the distortion of the lens itself. In addition, it did not come as pictured (missing the camera strap) but hey, can't use the camera anyway so that's a moot point. Their shipping fee and return shipping would have made a "money back" proposition 40% of what was put into it... On their good side, they packed it well and got it to me as quick as possible. So, if you want to buy a hammer from these guys, yeah, probably a safe deal. No creature in their right mind (or even slightly twisted) could have rated that camera even as high as "fair." read more

I've been in this shop many a times and purchased items with them many times in the past but yesterday's experience left me rather cold. I went in on a whim just to see what kind of merchandise they had in. Saw a particular item I wanted to look at but needed some assistance to see it (it was on a higher shelf and the shelf was just out of my reach). I stood there for roughly 5 minutes waiting for an associate to see if I needed assistance while others came in after me and the associates helped THEM. FINALLY someone came and asked if I needed helped and I basically told her not anymore and that I was leaving with my reasons (them taking forever to acknowledge me). The girl didn't even apologize...pretty much an "ok then" with ZERO empathy in her voice for what she and her colleagues had done. As someone in customer service this appalls me to no end.
